Story
Unclaimed street stray. Butters was brought into a home and been evaluated for over 30 days. She has been spayed and exposed to many different environments. She is dog friendly, but does not do well with cats or chickens. She is good on leash, is house trained, good in her crate, and of low to moderate energy. She is typical Chow Chow and can have an attitude when asked to do something she doesnt want to do. If you are calm and persistent, she will relent. She is affectionate and seeks loving and attention once she trusts you. She has a beautiful, fluffy coat that will need to be brushed to keep away the matting. She is a low shedder if she is brushed regularly. She is not a fan of baths, but has improved greatly since her arrival. Butters is very quiet, not prone to barking or zoomies. She is a perimeter checker, not as frequently as when she first got here, but she checks out every inch of her boundary. She is fostered with dogs of many sizes, from a 5 lb Chihuahua to several dogs well over 120 lbs. She plays with the older puppies but will jump on the couch to avoid the younger, higher energy ones. Butters chases cats, but acts more like a dog that has never seen one rather than like she wants to hurt them. For that reason alone we are listing her as not cat friendly. We are looking for an indoor home with Chow Chow experience for Butters. She is a wonderful dog but she is definitely stubborn and very much a Chow Chow. She gravitates towards women more than men, but she does grow to trust them with patience. She bonded to me very quickly when she first got here but it took a couple of weeks before she accepted my husband.

We named him Pinto. We believe he is maybe around 6 years old. He was most likely abounded by previous owner. We tired to keep him but he kills small animals. He is only good around other dogs. He is nothing aggressive to humans. I have kids and he is very sweet and gentle towards them. I just want a good loving home for him🥹
