Meet Ratty Roger! Ratty was found tied up on the side of a gas station in the Texas heat. He was skin and bones, no access to fresh water or shade. He really is a miracle baby. Ratty has severe intestinal parasites and was covered in fleas. Today he is a happy and healthy boy! He is current on all vaccines and preventions. Ratty is pee-pad trained and we are working on potty training

Meet Worm!! Worm was single street puppy found on the southside of San Antonio. He was skin and bones, terrified, but so open to help. Just within the few days of him being with us he has opened up into the most playful and loving boy who loves a good squeaky toy! Worm is estimated to be around 14 weeks of age and is believed to be a small/medium sized terrier/hound mix. Don’t make this little man wait too long, let’s get him into a home!!

Meet Bruce! He is a 6month old San Antonio special of a pup. This sweet boy is part of a litter that was rescued from an abandoned property in the Texas heat with mamma. These babies were skin and bones when we got to them, mom was is even worse shape. Giving all she had to ensure their survival. Without intervention these guys would not have made it. All puppies and momma were malnourished and had the worst case of intestinal parasites we have ever seen. After weeks of treatment the whole crew finally tested negative for all parasites! The entire crew is now healthy, fully vaccinated, and current on preventions. Bruce specifically is a playful and goofy boy. He is a bit on the calmer side. He prefers laying with his people more than he does rough -housing with his dog friends. Bruce does have a heart murmur that is currently being monitored. The doctor does not think it will affect his life negativity. He is still a normal puppy! It just may be something that will have to be monitored as he gets older. Meet Chavi the tripod! Chavi is a 2 year old border collie/lab mix. She was a street rescue that had a broken front leg, heartworms AND a litter of 8 newborn puppies. Chavi was very shy when she first arrived. It took weeks for her to trust anyone. During this time Chavi was never aggressive, just very scared. But, this resilient and brave girl allowed us to help her through weaning her puppies and help her heal from her front leg amputation. Chavi is now heartworm NEGATIVE, she loves having other dog friends, and she is cat friendly. Chavi would need an experienced adopter or an adopter that understands trust must be earned. Her whole life was running from bad people, now that she is comfortable, every so often she will come up for a head pat, but always on her terms. Chavi is a house-cat of a dog! Chavi is leash trained and potty trained. She would do best in a calm home with another pet! Reach out to learn more.

Meet Etta! Etta is a 9 year old Bulldog mix. Old lady, Etta, was pulled from a home where she existed to breed. Her life was spent in a wire crate, being denied even the most basic of care. However, based off of this resilient girl’s personality, you would never know. Etta is incredibly loving and playful. She is dog and cat friendly, and people friendly of all ages! We are working on leash training and potty training. There is so much about the world that Etta doesn’t know, and she is excited to learn!

Meet Betty! Betty was scheduled to be euthanized due to her previous owner being unable to care for her. She greeted everyone with kisses and tail wags. This couldn’t be how her story ended. Betty came to us with a severe skin infection, infection in both ears, and severe irritation to both eyes. Betty also had some pretty nasty intestinal parasites. Thankfully, all of these issues are treatable!! She is currently undergoing treatment and is feeling better every day. She is estimated to be 5 years old, she is spayed and current on vaccines. One word to describe Betty: resilient. She is such a love to anyone willing to show her attention. She absolutely loves her walks and as she feels better, she’s even started to show us her zoomies! Help us find this queen her forever home!
