Story
Howdy y’all! I’m Raz––a handsome, sensitive soul looking for a fresh start after my previous owner sadly passed away. I’m a loyal and independent guy searching for a quiet, low-key environment. Recently, I’ve been loving my training boot camp at Lone Star State K9, learning how to be a polite pup and stay in my crate. I may be a cowboy, but that doesn’t mean my manners can’t be top-tier! Despite still being a puppy, I’ve been told I’m kind of an old soul… so I’d prefer hanging out in an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy kids who respect boundaries; I love to be around my people, but I also just like my personal space sometimes! When it comes to other pets, I’ve got kind of a lone wolf attitude, and personally, I’d love to be your loyal one-and-only. My feelings have been hurt by other dogs before, but I’ve been doing a great job at camp learning how to dust off my boots and handle it. That doesn’t all mean this cowboy can’t get rodeo-rowdy. I love a good “bug tussle” with my person. If you’re looking for a total roly-poly, I’m your guy! I’m ready to retire from the range and be your loyal canine companion. Apply to adopt me today!

Story
Missy is the undisputed queen of fun, and her personality is as big as her love for a good game of dress-up! If you’re looking for a companion who brings pure joy to every room, you’ve found her. When she’s not busy playing fashion model with her many foster siblings, you’ll find this athletic girl perfecting her moves on her favorite doggy trampoline... and seriously, she has hops! While she’s a total blast to hang out with, Missy is also deeply loyal to her people. She’s the type of girl who loves to bond and will stick by your side through thick and thin. She appreciates a proper, polite introduction when meeting new friends, but once she knows you’re part of her pack, that tail won't stop wagging! Missy’s journey to us was a whirlwind! She was pulled from a shelter’s urgent list just in time, and her foster family has been helping her shine ever since. She is now patiently waiting for her own real-life fairytale to begin. Could that happy ending be with you? Apply to meet this spunky, trampoline-loving sweetheart today!

Story
Meet Frito! This gentle, curly-coated sweetheart has so much love to give. After arriving at the SNIPSA office from Atascosa Animal Allies, all she needed was a good bath to start opening up to us. Calm and ever so loving, Frito has all of the SNIPSA office fangirling over her cute looks and sweet disposition. Energetic, good-natured, and famously friendly, Border Terriers are known to be great family dogs. Frito’s got the personality—and the signature scruff. Chihuahuas are known to be incredibly loyal and to love attention, so get ready for some one-on-one snuggles with your new favorite gal. While her small size makes it possible for her to adapt to apartment life, it’s also important that Frito finds a home environment where she can get a lot of exercise throughout the day to release some of that extra energy (though, we think 90% of it goes to keeping her tail wagging 24/7). Her secret? She doesn’t actually like Fritos—but she’d be over the moon if you threw her a treat and gave a little scratch behind the ears! This girl is eager and easy to please. Who wouldn’t want to snuggle up with this bug in a rug? Searching for a sweet girl who can be your forever companion? Apply to adopt Frito today!

Story
What’s Chef Sookie cookin’ up today? Nine puppies is what! This brave blonde mama was brought to our office with a full batch of newborns in need of care. Traveling from our rescue partners, Sookie brought over a few more than just puppies. This poor family, though spirits high, were covered in fleas. With a gentle but effective bath, this family of ten is free and clear from dirt and bugs and is ready for a fresh start. While she’s been very occupied looking after her little ones, her personality still shines through in foster care. Once the pups are old enough to leave the nest, we know this mama will be in desperate need of a break and someone to take care of her, for once. And in return, Sookie will bake up a life full of love for her forever family. After all, who doesn’t like a sweet treat, and Sookie is as sweet as they come! So, order up! Sookie is waiting for you!
