Story
Casper is a 2-year-old dashing 7-pound male Chihuahua with a most curious and very cute little curly Q tail. Casper was rescued by Poquita Paws with several other small dogs found in a house holding 93 dogs in horrendous conditions. The dogs had never been outside. We have had to move slowly to gain Casper’s trust and to allow him to become the young happy pup he is however, we can still have episodes of teasing behavior that require a few circles around the couch to pick him up. He has never been aggressive toward anyone only scared. He loves to cuddle with fellow Chihuahuas and other small dogs. Recently he has started to pick up various toys and shake them, run with them, and try to share them with friends. He is doing really good with housebreaking as he loves to run in the yard and knows he has business to do out there. Casper is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, wormed and has had a vet evaluation. His adoption fee is $300. If you would like to meet this special boy, please submit an application from www.poquitapawsrescue.org.ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Poquita Paws does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes spay/neutered, rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventrative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. Story
We just can’t figure out how this huggable, handsome dog has not been adopted yet! He is just about perfect and nobody has even come to meet him! Ralphie is a three-year-old Golden Retriever/Shepherd blend. He was picked up as a stray, and was a favorite with the staff at Animal Care Services and they pleaded for us to take him minutes before he was to be euthanized. We did and he certainly deserved it! Ralphie currently lives with two teenage boys and a small, senior Terrier. He loves to lay out in the sun, hang out and watch football with everyone, go on car rides and run or walk in the neighborhood. In addition to his athleticism and social skills, Ralphie is a very confident dog. He is not afraid of fireworks, the vacuum cleaner, or anything else that we have found. He is house-trained, too, and goes into his kennel on command. Ralphie is very adaptable and would do great in most environments. He would make a wonderful addition to your family. He has been waiting a long time for a forever home, so if you’re a large dog lover, please give him a chance! Apply to meet Ralphie today!

Story
Who’s a Goosie girl? I’M A GOOSIE GIRL! Yes, I might be the happiest, sweetest dog ever, but don’t think I haven’t had my share of ruffled feathers. I came all the way down from Austin with my brother, Snoopy after being found on the streets. We had no mom and nobody to claim us at the time – only a dream of being loved one day. I have since found comfort in my foster home, but I’m ready to find something permanent. If you’re intrigued, here are a few things about me that are worth squawking about: 1. I am a water dog, and will get so relaxed during bathtime that I want to lie down! 2. I adore my foster mom’s four other dogs, and I am always eager to make new friends. 3. I’ll match your energy level, but I’m definitely more on the easygoing/chill side. 4. I’ve mastered my manners, know my routine, and even know how to use the doggy door! 5. I ride perfectly in the car, even when I’m in my kennel. As a five-month-old Labrador Retriever/Border Collie mix, I still have some growing to do, but will make a very easy puppy. So, will you be the one to take me home? Waddle on over and fill out an application today!

Glam, Glam, Glamorous!! Meet the perfect beauty star who was found abandoned at an elementary school. She surely was someone’s dog at one time, as she is familiar with the home, loves to retrieve, is housebroken, knows all the basic tricks like sit and stay, is kennel trained, great with other dogs and cats, confident, and a wagging friend to all. Immediately upon arrival at the SNIPSA office, she discovered the toy box and found herself a “squeaky.” So proud of her find – she paraded around eagerly showing off her prize. She is easy to please, quiet, and perfectly well-mannered. Glam is versatile and would be a great dog for an older person or even a toddler. She’s a superstar dream and a Retriever, thick and through. If you’re looking for a wonderful companion, don’t pass up our glamour girl!!! Fill out an application today and don’t miss out on this perfect gal!
