Story
Kenny Pawgers is a very very special boy. I’ve had him since he was only about a week old and watched him grow up into a sweet and quirky “man”. As a kitten I noticed he would eat differently than the rest of his litter and would pull his head up dramatically after bites. Then I noticed he was unable to meow! These were early signs that would lead us down a long road of testing to see if he was ill or just a unique kitten. Well , he’s kind of both. He’s not “sick” per say, but rather genetically challenged in his nasal region. The easiest way of explaining it is that his nasal passage is much more narrow than it should be which causes some breathing issues. He struggles a bit to take normal breaths which causes him to have noisy breathing and almost sounds like he’s snoring a lot. It’s very adorable once you’re used to it and know he’s still getting air, it’s just in a different way. He plays well, eats great and does everything normal except his noisy breathing. Doctors say he’s currently in great shape and have no immediate concerns. That being said Kenny Pawgers is supposed to stay low key, and avoid stressful situations. Too much stress could disrupt his immune system and that could cause issues with upper respiratory infections which could compromise his breathing issue. We hope that since he’s fully grown now this is just something he’ll live with and it won’t worsen if he’s in a calm, loving, stress-free environment. But if his breathing were to become really labored at any point, he would require further testing to see if the formation of his nasal passage has actually changed over time. As I mentioned, he acts like a normal kitty. Loves to groom his buddies and wrestle. He’s obsessed with plastic spring toys and glitter balls, both of which he’ll carry around in his mouth while he makes his goofy snoring sounds. He really loves his wet food and when I’m getting it ready he likes to give my leg a little nibble like “hurry up mom!”. He loves to be brushed and is affectionate, but more of a “lay on you in bed once in awhile” Vs. “lap cat”. Kenny LOVES watching the squirrels and birds in the feeders outside the bay window. And he also really loves to watch the critters on cat TV too! Kenny will definitely need other kitty friends but with a proper, slow intro. He’s never been around dogs or kids and is used to a quiet home with 2 adults. Kenny Pawgers is in foster care. Please submit an application or contact our adoption specialists at adoptiion@kittyrevolution.org to meet him.

Story
Meet Sherburt 🖤🤍 Sherburt is a sweet, shy orange tabby with white kitten who is still learning that new places and new people can be trusted. In his previous foster home, he allowed handling and petting, showing that the affectionate side of him is there. In his current foster home, Sherburt prefers to observe from a safe distance, taking his time to adjust and feel secure. Sherburt is a gentle soul who simply needs patience and a calm environment to help him come out of his shell. Once he feels safe, he has already shown that he can enjoy human touch and connection. He would do best in a quiet household without small children, where there is less noise and activity. Because Sherburt is still a kitten, he will need to be adopted with another kitten or into a home that already has a friendly cat to help him build confidence and companionship. If you’re willing to go slow and let trust grow naturally, Sherburt has the potential to become a wonderful, loving companion. 🐾 Kitty Revolution believes that our kittens should be adopted in pairs or go to a home where there is another young animal companion. Sherburt is in foster care. Please submit an application or contact our adoption specialists at adoption@kittyrevolution.org to meet him.

Story
Geri is a beautiful, 8-year-old, silvery-gray lady looking for her forever home! Geri was one of four girls born to a feral momma in an enclosed porch of an old home. The elderly man who lived in the home brought all four of the girls into his large home and they had the run of the place. For 7-1⁄2 years, Gerri and her sisters lived very independently in the big house until her owner moved to a nursing home. When this beauty came into foster care, she was so matted it wasn’t possible to pet her except on the top of her head. Once shaved, she was so much more comfortable. Her initial veterinary appointment showed mouth inflammation, and she was scheduled for a dental consult and was diagnosed with stomatitis requiring 15 of her teeth be removed. She does wonderfully with just a few teeth -- enjoying both dry cat food and her much loved Fancy Feast Savory Centers wet food. Geri enjoys human attention but is also independent and although brought up with three littermates, she doesn’t interact with them much. She prefers to lay in the sun for her naps or sit at the top of the cat tree and watch the birds and squirrels for some “me time.” Even though she is now a mature lady, she still has her “zoomie” moments – chasing after and playing with small toys. She likes to be brushed on her head and back and is slowly getting used to being brushed on her chest and stomach – key spots to stay on top of, since that is where any matting is prone to start. Her foster has trimmed her nails, and although it is not Geri’s favorite things, she does tolerate it. Her forever humans should be committed to helping her keep her beautiful coat looking its best. Geri likes human interaction and will sit on your lap – especially when you are sitting at the computer. When she has had enough interaction, she will give a small grunt and jump down. This pretty girl currently lives with her 3 siblings but doesn't interact with them very much. She would do great in a home with humans who work from home or are around a lot, and who are okay with a cat sitting on their lap when at the computer or when watching TV. Although she has enjoyed pets from a respectful six-year-old child, Geri would probably prefer a home with older, more mature children and no other pets. A cat tree by a window would be incredibly welcome – she loves to sleep at the top. This beautiful lady has been through some upheavals and is so ready to live a cozy, loving life with her forever humans. If you’re looking for a gentle companion to while away the days with this summer, Geri is your girl! Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat? Story
Poppy is a five-year-old, sweet and spunky kitty looking for her forever home! This pretty fluffy gal enjoys spending most of her day napping with her kittens or relaxing and watching while they play. She has a confident personality and knows when she wants affection and when she needs a little space to herself; she will give a little love nip if she is feeling overwhelmed by affection. A discerning gourmet, Poppy is always present if wet food is being served, since it's her favorite. She has been an attentive mother to her 3-month-old kittens and is now ready to be pampered in her forever home. This lovely mama is outgoing and ready to explore her environment, taking in all around her. Poppy's energy level has been fairly mild. She has been spending the last 3 months taking amazing care of her kittens, with little time to herself. Her playful side has yet to emerge, but I know when she can focus her energy on her own needs and playtime interests, this beautiful girl will begin to engage with the world of wands and spring toys! Poppy currently lives in a foster home with her four kittens. There are 2 adults and 3 older children in the home that she does great with. She is learning to not care about the dogs in the home and seems indifferent to the other cats if her kittens aren't present. Poppy's ideal home is a quiet or moderately active home that will provide her with love. She could be happy as an only cat, provided her humans are around to spend time with her, or live peacefully with another friendly cat. She seems fine with dogs that ignore her. She will also need people who are willing to regularly brush her lovely fur, to keep her looking and feeling her best. If you’re looking for an affectionate, relaxed companion to shower with love and care this summer, look no further than this beautiful girl. Poppy is ready to meet you!
