Hi! My name is Ava and I am from Minnesota. From her foster: Ava (Flora as we call her) is a young mama cat who is laid back. She is content hanging out on her own, sometimes near you sometimes not and when she wants some pets she comes and finds you and rubs against you. Ava sometimes communicates but we have not figured out why. There is no pattern. She does like more pets then normal after we are away for the day. She is very good about using her litter but does not like to bury it after she goes.

Story
Hello my name is Mika, I’m from Minnesota! From her foster: Mika is a true companion. It took her a few days to feel comfortable coming out and about, but has grown so much confidence already. She loves getting pet, butt scratches, and being brushed. Mika often will follow me around and use her voice to ask for more attention. She loves to play with toys. You can hardly tell from her personality that she’s an older lady, but has conveniently grown out of the need to knock things over/eat plants, and has been very unobtrusive in that way. Her front paws are declawed, she is great at using her litter box. Mika is so fun and sweet! Mika is being fostered with her sister, Bella. It is preferred, but not required, that they be adopted together as they have been together for 14 years. I don’t have other animals/children in my home, but I think Mika would be able to adapt to a home with cats, slow introductions to dogs, and considerate children that can give her a calm environment. From the Vet: Mika is a very sweet senior gal, and overall is looking very healthy and ready for a forever home! Her bloodwork didn't indicate any issues. The only abnormality on her lab work showed that she has lower urine specific gravity meaning that she isn't concentrating urine appropriately. She should be monitored to make sure she is drinking water and/or given some wet food in her diet. Her future adopter should set up regular annual visits with a primary care vet to monitor kidney function. As she ages there may be some changes that indicate a need for a kidney specific diet or other care, but for now no special care is needed, just a special home for a special cat!

Story
Hi, my name is Locus. I am from Minnesota. From his foster: Phoenix and Locus are such beautiful boys! They are very affectionate, sweet and well mannered! They usually sleep in their bed under my bed, and when they wake up you hear cute little meows as they run to me for pets. The love belly scratches, head scratches and any kind of scratches, Phoenix and Locus are such good friends and sleep together, play together and watch birds and squirrels together. They like to chase each other, play in their tunnel and with a laser pointer. When I started fostering Locus and Phoenix they were very shy but are much more comfortable with me every day and would probably do best in a quiet household. They are good eaters and great at using their litter box! Anyone would be lucky to have these two!

Story
Hello my name is Abigale, I'm from Minnesota! From her foster: Abigale is the sweetest, most gentle cat in the world. When she first came into my home, she was a bit withdrawn and timid but she doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. If I had to brush her, pick her up, coax her out from under the bed, etc she would just let me know with a gentle meow that she didn’t like it. However, once she gets comfortable, she is an absolute dream. She enjoys being brushed, loves drinking out of the sink, likes to play with toys, and will take naps at the end of the bed or under the bed. She also loves being scratched behind the ears and enjoys a butt pat. She’s not a huge cuddler and doesn’t love to be held but she loves to hang out near you. She is more of a night owl but is super quiet all throughout the night. In fact, she only meows when she sees you and wants to chat but it’s the cutest, quietest meow. She gets along well with my resident cat and she has not been around dogs thus far. Given her laid back personality, I think she would do well with other animals as long as they are also laid back! Whoever adopts this sweet senior will be oh so lucky. She’s impossible not to fall in love with. She is so gentle, kind, loving, and just wants a quiet place to live out her golden years! From the Vet: Abigale is a senior lady looking for a quiet home to settle in for her golden years. She has been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease which is somewhat common in cats. At this stage her disease is in stage 2 meaning that there are no special diet or medications she will need long term. She may take some time to warm up to changes to her environment and she has a history of not eating well during times of change. She should be closely monitored to make sure she is eating and drinking regularly especially encouraging water or wet food intake. She has a recheck appointment planned for early April and she will be continuously monitored for any other updates as they present. We hope she finds her forever home soon, she is very sweet and deserving of an amazing life!
