MEET JONATHAN! LOVING LAP CAT! Watch His Video!Jonathan is a sweet guy who might take a few minutes to open up but once he does, he is a total love bug. Lap time with his humans is an essential ritual for Jonathan and he would be very sad to be left alone for hours at a stretch. He would love someone who works from home so, he can get his fill of cuddles throughout the day. Jonathan also enjoys gentle petting and watching the birds and squirrels through the windows of his suite. Jonathan can be known to startle easily so young children or a busy household might not be his cup of tea. Other cats are also an issue for this little guy as he has received his share of bullying so being an only might be best. Please note that Jonathan`s new person should have a good relationship with a vet so he can continue on his wellness path.Jonathan is currently up to date on vaccinations and flea and tick preventative, has been neutered, microchipped and examined by our vet team. For more information on Jonathan or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements. Not good with kids, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
We call her Shoe, like the old woman who lived in one and had too many kids, because apparently she was allowed to breed indiscriminately for 10 years (at least) and was living on an open porch before I took her and 4 kits in. She is spayed now, of course, but she's partially deaf from horrifying ear infections that I cleaned up and have since resolved. She's much calmer after having been spayed and is looking for a quiet home where she can relax and find love. She really does want to be friendly, and she sleeps on a corner of my bed when my other cat is not around.

Story
Lincoln - Available for Adoption (PS: LOOK AT HIS THUMBS!) Lincoln is doing amazing in his foster home. He is a super sweet guy. He loves to be your loyal companion and will follow you wherever you go. He spends most of his time asking for treats by doing a little vertical stretch, and lounging around the apartment. In his free time, he likes to chase balls around and purr at maximum volume. Lincoln had been eating at a feral cat feeding station for several months before he was trapped. His paws were dirty, his long fur was matted and unkempt, and his poor ears bore numerous scars, no doubt from tussles with the other local tomcats - which meant it wasn't very surprising when he also tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Shortly after his neuter and initial vet care, Lincoln became very sick and required emergency veterinary care. Bloodwork revealed he was anemic and had a dangerously low platelet count. Further diagnostics were inconclusive, so a barrage of medications were prescribed in the hope that something would do the trick - and, miraculously, Lincoln has had a complete recovery! Being sick never diminished Lincoln's spirit. He is a very affectionate and outgoing gentleman who is always eager for human interaction. He loves to be pet and even held. He would do well as a family pet; according to Lincoln, the math is simple: more humans = more attention!! Lincoln is a handsome domestic long hair polydactyl and is estimated to be about three years old. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and negative for FeLV. Story
Pearl – Available for Adoption Pearl is another unfixed dump job that was luckily rescued before she was impregnated. When found she was petrified and was frozen with fear when rescued. She doesn’t seem to be a fan of other cats but she is longing for some loving by humans. Pearl is approximately a year old, spayed, negative for FeLV and FIV, and up-to-date on all her shots. If you are interested in meeting her, contact Boston's Forgotten Felines on Facebook or at catadoptions@bostonsforgottenfelines.org
