Story
She’s a beautiful long-haired orange and white tabby, but her personality is what makes her special. She had a rough start as a rejected kitten, so she’s definitely a sensitive soul. If you meet her, don’t be offended if she disappears under a couch immediately—she’s shy and needs a few days to realize she’s safe. But once she warms up to you, she is the sweetest, most "velcro" cat you’ll ever meet. She’s definitely "needy" in the sense that she just wants to be near her person and get some love. A few quick things about her: The Vibe: She’s quiet and low-maintenance. She isn’t going to tear up your curtains or run laps at 3 AM. She mostly just wants a peaceful spot to hide and a human she can trust. Ideal Home: Somewhere calm. Since she’s a hider, she doesn’t do great with a lot of chaos or loud noises. Health: She's healthy and I have all her records ready to go. I think she would do best with an owner that is home often and wants a lapcat. She'll try to sleep with you.

For questions, email saufenka@yahoo.com HOW TO MEET THIS CAT: This cat is in a foster home. To meet Simba, please complete the adoption questionnaire. LOCATION: Foster home ADOPTION COORDINATOR: Shana at saufenka@yahoo.com ADOPTION FEE: $170. This fee INCLUDES spay, vaccines, and microchip. Ask us about our many adoption benefits that include free exams, pet insurance, and other discounts! HOW THIS ANIMAL IS WITH: CATS: likely fine with slow introductions DOGS: may be fine with calm dog KIDS: may be ok with older kids who understand boundaries KNOWN LIKES: head scratches, yummy food KNOWN DISLIKES: loud noises, sudden movements ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Simba is a handsome boy who deserves a home where he will be pampered. He is being slowing introduced to the dog and cat in his foster home and is doing well with first steps. He loves to be pet and loves his head scratches, but it's best if he comes to you. If you walk towards him suddenly, he will shy away. He needs some calm and stability as he adjusts, so no small children our really loud households. Simba tested positive for FIV which simply means he has a less effective immune system. He can live a long, healthy life with quality care and diet like any other cat. We can explain more! Story
How gorgeous are these guys?? And they come with bonus toes, just like their mama! These cuties were rescued with their mama and five bottle baby kittens. From the very beginning, they were protective of the babies in their care, putting the needs of the kittens before their own. Now that everybody is grown, these guys are showing their true personalities. Travie is quiet for a kitten. She prefers to watch what's going on around her. She loves hanging with her brother Jason and her mama. As she grows, her fur gets a sort of mad scientist craziness. Don't let that deter you - Travie is SO sweet and ready for someone to show her a lifetime of love. Jason is the biggest and boldest of the pair. He will come charging into watch the action and has no problems setting boundaries with the resident dogs. Jason and Travie would love to go to a home together, preferably with no dogs. They are not fans of the chaos dogs bring. Questions About this Animal? Please email hart90office@gmail.com View My Profile: https://new.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/HRT-A-407

Ask us about our many adoption benefits that include free exams, pet insurance, and other discounts! HOW THIS ANIMAL IS WITH: CATS: Good with other cats and needs a welcoming, nurturing cat friend DOGS: No dogs KIDS: No small kids KNOWN LIKES: Soft pets and calm KNOWN DISLIKES: Chaos and loud noise ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Beautiful Marlie is a fluffy kitty surrendered to Homeward Trails with her sister during TRN in rural Virginia. They hadn’t had much socialization and had no hope for a stable home where they were. Our fosters worked hard to socialize them and bring them out of their shells. Marlie has gained a lot of confidence, coming to be pet and following her humans around, but she is quick to startle. She loves other cats and must be adopted to a home with a welcoming cat friend who will take her under their paw. She also is not a fan of being picked up and will do best in a calm home without small kids or dogs. HT ADOPTION INCLUDES: Spay/Neuter A series of FVRCP vaccines, rabies vaccine (if old enough), and deworming Microchip - lifetime registration with no fees EXCLUSIVE ADOPTER BENEFITS: Free physical exam with Caring Hands Animal Hospital, Palisades Veterinary Clinic, Jermantown Animal Hospital and Clarendon Animal Care within 30 days of adoption and all VCA Animal Hospitals (VCA offers $250 coverage - details provided) within 14 days of adoption.
