Meet Josephine! Josephine was found in a garage in upstate New York before she came to stay with our family in D.C. She is about a year old and she loves to play! She loves wand toys, puff balls, and anything that moves and bounces. When she's in an extra playful mood, she will even fetch. She is very sweet with people and greets everyone she meets as if she's known them for years. She never uses her claws on her humans (unless she is kneading) and loves to snuggle on laps. She is pretty wiggly and does not like being held. She is very curious and will explore all nooks and crannies of a space. She also loves to look at windows and snooze in big piles of blankets. She is very food motivated, so she will need to live in a space where food is not easily accessible. She is also has some trouble with our litter set up (we use pine litter), but we are working on positive reinforcement. She's a wonderful girl! Let me know if you would like to learn more :)

*Meow* You can meet me at 71 Oglethorpe St NW 12pm-7pm daily.Kisses is the most gorgeous long-haired feline in the house! This cat can strut and prance on the cat walk like no other. She is gorgeous! Kisses is a lovely young kitty in search of a home where she can get the love and care that she deserves. Being long-haired means she needs daily brushing to keep her coat from getting painful matting`s. Kisses would love to meet you soon and even better- go home with you!

1 year old Personality: calm, friendly, independent, snuggly Austin is your low-maintenance, loving best friend! He loves to be pet and will hang out with you for as long as you will give him love. Otherwise, he is a super chill dude who enjoys doing his own thing. He will happily snuggle up in his favorite spot for hours and just relax. Austin is not very motivated by food, treats, or toys and is truly just a mellow guy looking for his forever home. Austin is good with other cats and dogs and mostly does not engage with them (although he may open up more once he’s been around them for a while). Foxy Lady! She's gorgeous, she's full of personality and she's going to judge you! Seriously, that face is saying "are you worthy to be my best friend?" Foxy has distinguished taste which often means it takes her a bit to decide if she likes you but once she does, she's a snuggly sweetheart. Foxy isn't just a pretty face, she's silly and fun to be around too! She can flip a switch and decide she's got better things to do than hang out, so no sensitive adopters that don't understand a choosy kitty that doesn't need your validation. Foxy Lady has done very well in her foster home, finding cozy places to chill, sunny spots to sprawl out and the occasional kitty friend to interact with. Foxy does have a sensitive stomach so we will share all of our tips on a food that agrees with her to avoid any issues! Children and dogs not recommended in Foxy's future home. To be considered as a potential adopter, complete an adoption application. Completing the application does not guarantee it will be approved. We are an all volunteer group and unfortunately are unable to answer every phone call, adoption inquiry, or application. Please understand you will be contacted only if your application is approved.
