Apply for a CAT: https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/adoptable-cats.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Cat specific vetting: Rabies, FVRCP. Cats are tested for FIV and FeLV, when age appropriate, but not when born to a FELV/FIV negative mother in foster care. Kittens have age-appropriate vetting to date, which includes deworming, microchip, and the first FVRCP vaccine. Kittens born in care to a negative mother will not receive a FIV/FeLV test. An adopter will need to agree to cover costs of spay/neuter when he/she is age-appropriate (usually 16-20 weeks) and will need to continue his/her kitten vaccines (including rabies) as he/she grows older. Kittens under 12 weeks of age must be adopted in pairs or to a home with friendly resident feline. They will not be considered as singles.

Story
Female, born June 2023, DLH Personality: friendly, high energy, independent, shy Meet the Toy Kittens! YoYo, Barbie, Lego, and Weeble are ready to play! Petting gorgeous Yo-Yo feels like touching a cloud - her beautiful fur is so soft you won't be able to get enough. Yo-Yo is a smart, independent kitty who absolutely loves to play (alone or with her siblings). She can be a tiny bit shy around humans, but a few gentle pets will remind her that humans are awesome and she actually likes people quite a bit! Once you have her in your arms, Yo-Yo really leans in to the affection...that is, until she's ready to run off and play some more. She never met a toy she didn't like, and she can make anything a game. She's getting more affectionate by the day, and i have no doubt she will be a champion snuggler soon. Apply today to meet Yo-Yo! Story
We are so excited to show off our newest young male kitten, Gorgeous Gus.   What a stunning long haired boy he is at just 6 months of age and nothing but a real sweetheart of a cat.   Gus is very shy with people and he loves to play with other cats and kittens. Gorgeous Gus enjoys sunning himself in the window and learning all about the world that is passing by his house.   He is going to l need some patience and  to be worked with and given time to come out of his shell. We don’t know what happened in his early kitten days but Gus gets along with other cats, kittens, puppies and dogs. He is shy around children and adults but he is a very playful kitten with other cats.  We know that he will soon learn how to be confident and trust the people in his life that are calm and caring.   If you would like to make Gorgeous Gus a project of love and trust then write to us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Help Gus find his confidence and forever love.  Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.December 11, 2023, 8:20 am

Story
Hello, I'm Binks, a captivating feline with sleek black fur and enchanting golden eyes. You'll still notice the charming white spot on my chest and the fluffy tufts behind my ears that give me a unique touch. I can be quite shy when it comes to people. It takes time for me to trust and feel comfortable. I'm patiently waiting for my forever home, but I need someone who understands my timid nature and is willing to be patient with me. Much like Binks in "Hocus Pocus," I may have an initial air of reserve, but beneath that, you'll discover a loyal and affectionate companion who's ready to share your magical journey. While I may not have faced witches and spells, I'm ready to cast a spell of love and companionship on your heart. If you're looking for a friend to provide a safe and loving space, just like the friendship between Binks and the kids in "Hocus Pocus," I might be the perfect match for you. Let's create our own enchanting story together.
