Story
I love pancake but unfortunately a lot of problems have occurred in my life that would not be fair for her to adapt to. I want her to have a loving and stable home with mature and responsible owners who care for the well-being of animals and has experience taking care of animals the right way. Pancake is very down to earth, chill and respectful but the only thing she demands is her food lol. She well trained and as long as she has her catnip, toys, food and scratcher she won't be an issue. She loves to be around the person taking care of her so she will be right by your side everywhere you go.

Story
Rock Creek Cats, a nonprofit in the DC area, seeks barn homes for feral cats rescued from dangerous situations. These cats are not tame and need a home at a farm, horse stable, or other suitable outdoor environment with shelter. All the cats have been sterilized and vaccinated against rabies, and now need an outdoor home where they can live out their lives. Be prepared for a brief period of adjustment. Moving to a new home is stressful for anyone, cats included! After a short stay in secure confinement, the cats will accept their new home and be chasing mice out of your barn with enthusiasm. The cats will be delivered to their new homes. Guidance and supplies will be provided during the relocation process.

Story
Sweet and soft spoken, Lenny and Benny are two shy brothers who are very pretty boys. Once you look into their big eyes, you'll catch all their beautiful long haired beauty. Benny is a big and friendly boy that loves to get scratches and treats. Lenny is a bit more shy but will warm up once he sees his brother enjoying all the attention. Both love treats, they can be bribed with treats. Both Benny and Lenny are big boys and will need an owner that can keep an eye on their weight. They are also very much long haired cats and need a decent amount of grooming from their owner. Don't worry though, they love getting brushed. Benny and Lenny are neutered, negative for FelV/FIV, up to date on vaccinations and ready to be adopted today. This cat's adoption fee is $150 ($275/pair). ***Please note that the first step in the process is to complete our nonbinding application which does not commit you in any way, but allows us to help you to find a great match. Our application review process also includes a veterinary reference check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives (if applicable) and examined annually by your vet.*** Cats adopted through Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue must be indoor only and may not be declawed unless already declawed at the time of rescue.

Story
Female, DLH, approx 1 years old Are you ready to fall in love? Piper is a small, fluffy bundle of energy and sweetness---welcome her into your heart and home as soon as possible! This young and playful kitty hasn't let her rough beginnings interfere with her joie de vivre--she loves to play with humans, toys, and other cats. In fact, she was chasing and wrestling with her foster parent's resident cat within a few days of arriving. In quieter moments, Piper enjoys curling up on a human lap to receive strokes and head scratches. But she won't stay there too long--soon she will be off to stretch and check out the latest sounds outside the window. Piper is a petite and fluffy cat with a little black mustache and crazy old-man whiskers (including out of her eyebrows!). Welcome this high-energy, striking girl into your lap, into your cat tunnel, and into your heart! *Piper's rescue was generously sponsored by Leslie Lyles. Thank you for saving a life! ____________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Apply for a CAT: https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/adoptable-cats.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats. Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Cat specific vetting: Rabies, FVRCP. Cats are tested for FIV and FeLV, when age appropriate, but not when born to a FELV/FIV negative mother in foster care. Kittens have age-appropriate vetting to date, which includes deworming, microchip, and the first FVRCP vaccine. Kittens born in care to a negative mother will not receive a FIV/FeLV test. An adopter will need to agree to cover costs of spay/neuter when he/she is age-appropriate (usually 16-20 weeks) and will need to continue his/her kitten vaccines (including rabies) as he/she grows older. Kittens under 12 weeks of age must be adopted in pairs or to a home with friendly resident feline. They will not be considered as singles.
