Story
This is Pete. A senior male kitty age 13. I never had a cat before him and he’s the best cat ever. He does not scratch furniture, is super litter trained. He is honestly a very big hairy boy. Like an old man. He expects head kisses every time I come home from work. He’s is a great friend. I adopted him for free because he was so old but he does not act like it. He is also a germaphobe just like me. Lol so make sure you frequently clean your house or he will judge you. I just have to focus on myself now and money is tight and I get irritated easily and I do not want to take it out on him because it is not his fault. Only had him for 9months as of 12/11/25

Story
1 year old Personality: calm, friendly, independent, snuggly Austin is your low-maintenance, loving best friend! He loves to be pet and will hang out with you for as long as you will give him love. Otherwise, he is a super chill dude who enjoys doing his own thing. He will happily snuggle up in his favorite spot for hours and just relax. Austin is not very motivated by food, treats, or toys and is truly just a mellow guy looking for his forever home. Austin is good with other cats and dogs and mostly does not engage with them (although he may open up more once he’s been around them for a while). If an easy-going, independent companion sounds like the perfect addition to your home, apply to adopt Austin today! _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. Story
1 year old Personality: friendly, high energy, lapcat, shy Regina George is full of play, love, and snuggles. She follows you for pets and is a total lapcat who will stay curled up on you for as long as you will let her. Regina still has some kitten energy and likes to get her morning zoomies out by running up and down the stairs after breakfast! She plays on her own and loves this one wand toy so much it's like her security blanket - she carries it with her everywhere! She brings it upstairs to bed with her at night and then back downstairs in the morning. Regina is friendly with other cats, not picky about her food, and has great scratching and litter box manners. If you are looking for a queen (not a mean girl!), apply today to adopt her! _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC.
