Story
Meet Noel, A truly special senior girl with a heart as soft as her long, beautiful coat. Noel’s journey brought her to us around Christmas, when she was found as a stray and taken in for care. She arrived with a respiratory infection, and through her microchip we learned more of her story from a shelter in Alaska. Noel has allergies and, due to dental issues in her past, all of her teeth were removed—something that doesn’t slow her down one bit. She eats well and is perfectly content. At some point in her life she was also declawed, but this does not affect her ability to comfortably and reliably use the litter box. What truly makes Noel shine is her personality. She is the absolute sweetest girl—gentle, affectionate, and craving human companionship. She loves being brushed and will happily soak up all the attention you’re willing to give. Her long coat will require regular brushing and trips to the groomer for occasional shave downs to prevent mats, which she considers a bonus rather than a chore.Noel is looking for a calm, loving home where she can enjoy her golden years feeling safe, cherished, and adored. If you’re searching for a loyal companion who will reward you with endless affection and quiet companionship, Noel may be your perfect match. &#226&#156&#168Adoption fee includes:&#226&#156&#133 Spay/Neuter&#226&#156&#133 Vaccines&#226&#156&#133 Microchip&#226&#156&#133 Treated for fleas and worms Interested in meeting Noel?Email us at: adoption@columbiahumane.org to request an application.Adoption Fee: Sponsored by Mister GooseFor more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgJanuary 22, 2026, 6:13 am

Story
Help Rehome Tucker This is Tucker, a handsome, neutered boy looking for the right forever home. He is microchipped, litter box trained, and has spent a little time outdoors (though he’s still a bit skittish about the big wide world). Tucker has a truly sweet side. He greets me at the door when I get home from work and loves being petted. He enjoys companionship and will happily follow me from room to room just to be nearby. Like many young or energetic cats, Tucker can sometimes get overstimulated or bored, which has shown as ankle biting or playful aggression. I believe he would do best in a home that understands cat behavior and can provide plenty of enrichment—and possibly other animals to interact with, as I think he would thrive with more stimulation than I can currently provide. This decision is being made with Tucker’s best interest at heart. He deserves a home where he can feel fulfilled, secure, and loved. If you or someone you know might be a good fit for Tucker, please message me for more details. Sharing is greatly appreciated. January 15, 2026, 1:08 pm

Story
Meet Thistle — a teeny, fluffy grey kitten who looks like she was made entirely of soft intentions and gentle squeaks.Thistle is petite and precious, with a round little face, cloud-soft fur, and a sweet, tiny meow that sounds more like a question than a sound. She uses it often—just to check in, to ask for affection, or to announce that she has arrived (very bravely) in the room. It is impossible not to melt when she does. She’s affectionate in the most heart-stealing way: slow blinks, careful snuggles, and curling up against you like she fits there perfectly—which, somehow, she does. Thistle loves being held, being near, and being adored, and she accepts praise as if it is both deserved and expected. Playtime comes in short, enthusiastic bursts, followed immediately by naps that make her look even smaller than she already is.Soft, sweet, and overwhelmingly cute, Thistle feels like a kitten you can’t believe is real—one tiny meow at a time. *Kittens under 16 weeks of age must be homed with another cat or adopted in pairs for their social developmentAdoption fee includes:&#226&#156&#133 Spay/Neuter&#226&#156&#133 Vaccines&#226&#156&#133 Microchip&#226&#156&#133 Treated for fleas and worms Interested in meeting Thistle?Email us at: adoption@columbiahumane.org to request an application.Adoption Fee: $175For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgJanuary 31, 2026, 6:32 am

Story
Whisper is a sweet and gentle mama cat who is a soothing presence in the home. She and her daughter Maple are looking for a forever home together. Her sweetness is evident from the start, even though she is shy and will need some time to warm up. Don’t let her grumpy face fool you, she is a tender-hearted girl who loves getting brushed and petted. She can be interested in playing with a wand toy, but often her daughter Maple takes over play, although they do also often take turns. She is a seasoned cat who knows how to cat-she scratches on the cat tree, uses the litter box faithfully, doesn`t try to eat human food and doesn`t jump on counters. She likes a routine, but can also adapt to changes. Whisper would do best in a calm home where she can receive regular brushes and pets. She would love a cat tree with a cubby she can hang out in. Whisper needs to be adopted with her daughter, Maple.

Story
Missy is a affectionate, curious girl who loves to see what you're doing. Often the first one to greet you upon getting home. She's 4-years old, and in perfect health. She will require regular brushing a few times a week to ensure her sleek soft coat doesn't get matted and tangled. Its a great way to bond with her, as she loves being brushed. She is quick to recognise the sound of a Churu and will quietly meow plenty if you have one. She is a big fan of the small toy mice, specifically the soft plushy ones. She will gladly wear one out if given the opportunity. She may have some handling anxiety when you first begin to interact with her, as she'll be nervous and a little spooked but she does warm up to you. Always enjoys some head scratches. Never had any issues with using her litter box. Missy is the sister of black-and-white long-haired cat Ruby, who behaves similarly to Missy. They love playing and go together like peanut butter and jelly.
