Hi, my name is Button, and I am cute as a button! I used to live outdoors before my foster family invited me and my kittens to live with them until we found our fur-ever family. I may be a little nervous and seem shy at first but once I am comfortable, I am so sweet and playful. My favorite toys are soft balls and I love naps on a comfy sofa. I also spend lots of time playing with my kittens and window watching. My dream family includes one of my kittens, but I am also good with gentle kids. My dream family has the patience to get to know me and lots of love and affection to give. I don’t like being picked up, but I’ll happily join you on the couch or when you’re lying in bed for a petting and snuggling session! My Profile: Age: Young (About 1.5 years) Good with kids: Yes (gentle kids after getting to know them) Good with dogs: Not sure Good with other cats: Yes Activity level: Medium Currently lives with her litter of four kittens. They are very close, and it would be ideal for at least two of them to go to the same home together. Skittles is very affectionate once she warms up to you. She loves to play and run around. First thing in the morning she stretches then goes to her scratch post. She has a stuffed bear that I call her baby that she adores. She often would bring baby to play with her. During the day you’ll find her either in a window or napping in a chair. She’s just under 1 years old. Skittles is fully potty trained. I recently had a baby and my allergies have skyrocketed. She’s never been around kids other than my newborn but she loves sniffing my baby’s feet and when she cries Skittles will run around the house looking for me. She’s truly a sweetheart.

DC engineers had opened a manhole cover only to find a soaking wet cat trapped way deep inside! Kincaide was so very scared and rightfully so. It took quite some time to safely remove this tuxedo kitty, but HRA did it! Kincaide arrived at the shelter one hot, soggy mess. And emotionally, he was pretty concerned. We have been giving this darling lots of time to relax and he is very appreciative of the space and kindness. Kincaide is really a good kitty, but he may be one of those felines that likes to be admired from a distance until he is fully settled.
