Story
Early this summer, I discovered two adorable little kittens playing in my backyard with their mama. She was still nursing them then — a brave stray who had a litter of kittens, and these two sweet ones are the only ones left. Over the past few months, I’ve been gently helping them get used to people, and they’ve turned into the most loving, affectionate little souls. One is a boy and the other a girl. I’d love for them to stay together if possible, but I understand they may need to go to separate homes to find their forever families. The weather is turning cold, and these two deserve a warm, safe, and loving home where they’ll be cherished.

Story
We’ve had Cora since she was just 8 weeks old! Cora turned 7 a few months ago. She is very sweet and affectionate. She loves making biscuits. She will do best in a slow paced home and needs to be the only cat. She takes to our black lab over our other cat who is definitely more dominant. She is not content in our fast moving loud toddler driven home and deserves a comfortable space. She is overall chill and easy going and very, very affectionate. She will soak up all the attention. She’s even good with kids but preferably older, less wild ones. She is primarily indoors but enjoys sunbathing and will even join you for a porch sitting. She has never ran away. she can be a bit skiddish. Her ideal home will be low traffic and she will be the only pet or at least only cat. We only want what is the very best for her. Serious inquiries only, please. P.s She eats wet food in the morning and is free fed dry food throughout the day. She loves freeze dried treats.

Story
Hi, my name is Chris and my sister Lucy (CH-Lucy) and I are looking for a very special person. You see, our human mom took us off the streets as feral cats when we were really young - as cats go, but probably as feral cats go, really too late to 'flip us', to be regular house cats. I have become more outgoing, as time has gone by, but, my human mom has always referred to Lucy as 'a ghost' I think you could actually say that I am the emotional support animal for Lucy (and she is mine) I could be a 24/7 lap cat. I love getting my belly rubbed and being brushed. When I came to SCC, I was pretty matted on my belly, but my foster person and I worked on getting all of those nasty felted mats off of my belly. That feels so nice now. We are ramping down on 12 years old now. SCC got us a senior blood panel and in the scheme of things, we are doing alright. Let me tell you about me. I am quite a bit bigger than my sister, and a very fluffy boy. I am a lot more outgoing than my sister, but still timid. As you can see from our pics, we are very bonded and are often perched together by the window, watching the world go by. We also like to play with catnip mice inside crinkly, kitty tunnels. And I really like treats! The cats in the foster home we are in come to visit us. I like to give them head-butts and am never aggressive with the visitors. Lucy stays back in the shadows and is not so welcoming. We would be best in a quiet home environment, like with retirees that live a quiet life, and are home more. If friends or family do come to visit, they might not see us, but you should know that we will be waiting for your company to leave so that we can come out. As you might assume, kids are a bit noisy for us, and even though we had a dog in our lives before, we can do without that. We are current on our vaccines and microchipped and are very good with our litterbox. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.February 15, 2025, 2:14 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Tina and I am a fluffy girl! My human mom is joining the military and well, I guess it goes without saying, that I would not do well in boot camp. Who wants to wake up at Zero Dark 30, to march? So, SCC is helping me to find my own new duty station - maybe your house? So, about me, I am about 7 years old and can be somewhat timid. I would probably do best in a quiet home. A senior that is home more would be great. We could keep each other company. Because those little tykes can be a bit noisy, I would probably be better with older, cat respecting kids. Especially if they can brush me. I would probably be better as an only pet. I live with a younger labradoodle, and it wants to be my friend, but, I am not amused. There is another cat in my home and I am just cautious around it. I live an indoor life and that suits me fine. I will be brought current on vaccines and microchipped as a part of the adoption process. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.December 9, 2025, 10:19 pm
