Story
Sonny (FKA Nugget) is looking for their forever home! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Sonny is a sweet kitty who is affectionate, and when he's up for it, he loves to play! He likes looking out any window (bonus points if it's open), looking at himself in the mirror, wand toys, exploring, and trying to drink water out of human cups. He dislikes being touched on the belly, and not being allowed in places where he knows there's things to explore. He is a big "flopper", and let us pet him almost immediately after he arrived home." ATTRIBUTES: Sonny (FKA Nugget) has done well with other cats. -------------- Laila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained. Story
WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Jackson is a gentle cat who appreciates the simpler things in life. He wants a high, flat surface to sleep on, yummy dry cat food to eat with temptations cat treats for some yumminess and a willing hand or brush to pet him 23/7 of the day. That is all he needs. He is so happy to be sitting next to you, air marching his sweet little paws and purring heavily. He is not a lap cat (yet??) but he will lay by your feet and make biscuits. His little fangs are sometime visible when he looks lovingly at you. Jackson also enjoys having his belly rubbed when he rolls over for even more pets. Jackson has been calm/indifferent about meeting the resident dog and cat in the home. -------------- Laila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained. Story
Hello, I'm Tippy. I'm still learning about the world, shy but curious. I love exploring my surroundings, sniffing out new scents, and pouncing on toys that catch my eye. I'm a bit of a lone wolf, preferring to do things on my own terms. But don't worry, I'm not aloof, just independent. I enjoy the quiet moments, curled up in a cozy corner, just observing the world around me. I promise, I'm not hard to please, a simple life with a loving family is all I seek. If you're looking for a companion who is low-maintenance, and values her own space as much as she would respect yours, then I'm the cat for you. I may be shy, but I'm full of love, waiting to share it with my forever family.

Story
If you want to meet the most precious little boy in the entire shelter, you need to visit our Red room and meet Wally. Wally came in to the shelter as a scared little boy. He had been fending for himself on the streets and that made him a street tough little boy who trusted no one. He quickly found himself in eyesight of a staff member who made it her mission to earn his trust. Now he can be held and purrs so loud, he loves attention and Churu treats! Wally is a very special little boy who needs a very special adopter who will take time to earn his trust too. The reward of his love is so worth it!

These pups are in District Heights, Maryland too!

Story
Marley is a sweet, lovable girl. We have had her for a few years. She needs to be the only pet in the family because we have noticed that she requires more attention than we can give her. She would be perfect for a family with other cats, she is not favorable to dogs and small children. Our family has changed and our sweet girl needs more attention than we can give her.

Story
I took Ace in from a friend who's Cat had kittens and they couldn't keep them all since they already had so many other pets. Right away he warmed up to my two children ages 3 & 2 and quickly became a member of the family. I unfortunately was allergic and didnt realize since I had never really been around cats in my life. While I tried to hang in there and just clean like crazy, that's just not how allergies work. I truly do want hime to go to a loving home with anyone who loves cuddle and will continue to give him baked salmon for Sunday dinner. He's super friendly with babies and loves to curl up near your feet on movie nights.
