Story
I found Kevin and Bo as kittens living outside near my parents' house, and they've been wonderful cats ever since. They're affectionate, friendly, and incredibly mild-mannered — in all their years with us, they've never once scratched or bitten, even when startled. That gentleness has held true even around small children, and they get along well with our pitbull too.Unfortunately, the busy energy of our home — toddlers running around and an active dog — has become stressful for them, and they've started having occasional accidents around the house as a result. It's clear they'd thrive in a quieter environment. We're looking for a calm, loving home where they can finally relax and get the one-on-one attention they deserve. They'd do best together, ideally in a household without young children or dogs.

Story
Tasso is a 9-year-old cat originally from Benin, West Africa, looking for a patient adopter who can give him the time and attention he deserves. We took him in with love but our household - busy schedules and a young toddler - just isn’t the right fit for him long-term.Tasso is affectionate on his own terms and thrives with a calm, consistent person or couple. He’s an indoor/outdoor cat who loves spending time outside and reliably comes home. He has some anxiety and will need a settling-in period, but once comfortable he is a loyal, gentle companion. He comes with a clean bill of health from a recent vet visit, active pet insurance (Spot), and full vet records. He’s up to date on parasite prevention and has an established relationship with a vet in Silver Spring.Small adoption fee to filter for serious adopters; will go to Humane Rescue Alliance

Story
Meet Momo! We fell in love with her the moment we saw her. She is snuggly, silly, curious, and playful. When she isn’t snoozing, Momo loves going into huntress mode and fearlessly chasing her laser pointer. Momo also enjoys diving into tunnels and playing with her wand toys. She even plays fetch! She is an expert window watcher who will chirp out of excitement for the birds, squirrels, and bees. She's sometimes hilariously chatty and always so sweet. The best way to Momo's heart is through treats and pats. Momo loves Churus, being brushed, and cuddling in bed. She even scurries over and jumps on the couch for pets when we pat the spot next to us. She is 5 years old, in good health with all her vaccinations, and microchipped. As for other cats and dogs, Momo requests she be the only pet in the household. Please apply if you think Momo would be a good match! We do also have supplies to help her get her set up and comfortable in her new home.

Story
Dulce is a charming 4-year-old domestic shorthair tabby with a beautiful coat and a heart full of love. She has a sweet disposition and is known for being a cuddling expert. Whether you’re watching TV, reading a book, or just relaxing, Dulce will happily curl up on your lap, purring contentedly as she dozes off. She is a bit of a loner girl and may take time for her to warm up to new owners and homes.

Story
Meet Bucky! 🐾This handsome, ~2-year-old boy wandered into our yard three months ago and quickly stole our hearts. We are committed to finding him the loving forever home he truly deserves.Bucky is a talkative, sweet soul who genuinely wants to be around his humans. He clearly wants to cuddle, and enjoys head scratches but he isn't sure how it works yet. He’s still adjusting to the safe, comfortable life of a housecat, so he is looking for a patient adopter who will give him a little time to fully blossom and trust. The Details:Health: Neutered, vaccinated, and fully vet-checked!Habits: Perfectly litterbox trained.Special Note: Bucky is FIV+. Because of this, he must be an indoor-only cat to protect his immune system. FIV+ cats can live long, incredibly normal lives with standard vet care and indoor luxury!Bucky urgently needs to transition to an indoor sanctuary very soon. If you have a calm home and a big heart, please reach out. He will reward your patience with endless love!

Story
Lucy is 12 years old and indoor-only. She’s an affectionate cat who loves curling up on your lap, following you from room to room, and taking cozy naps. She still gets the zoomies which are funny to watch.Even people who aren’t “cat people” tend to like her because she has such an easygoing presence. People also remark about how silky her hair is. She gets along well with dogs and small animals like guinea pigs. She would do better in a home with older children or no children and as the only cat.Medically, Lucy is healthy. The only notes are that the veterinarian will likely clean her ears at appointments, and she started over grooming between her hind legs in May 2024. After thorough examination, the veterinarian said it was due to separation anxiety (the owners traveled a lot during that time). She has an automatic litter box, cat stroller, food and water bowls, her favorite toy, dry food, wet food and nail clippers. All available upon adoption of this sweet cat.
