Story
I rescued Pru in June 2020 when she was five weeks old. She had been kicked out of her litter and was being beaten up by male cats in a rural part of North Carolina. The friend who found her knew I had just rescued another kitten, and he thought they would make good companions. He was right--Pru (brown tabby) and Squeak (cow cat) were instantly the best of friends and are now bonded for life. Pru is the sweetest girl. She takes a day to warm up to people, but once she is comfortable, she is the biggest lap-cat and just wants to be near you. She is happiest when she is cuddling and grooming Squeak--or cuddling and grooming you! She loves a good feather toy or laser chase, but she can't jump very high. (We think it's because she has a bob-tail.)S Pru is microchipped, fully vaccinated, and spayed. She must be adopted with Squeak. They come with all accessories--carriers, scratch post, auto feeder, litter box, fountain, etc. I love them but am moving abroad and can't keep them.

Story
A friend found Squeak when she was a week old in May 2020, crying and soiled. He waited for the mom cat to return, but she never did. For weeks, I bottle-fed Squeak and was with her almost 24/7. I was the first person she saw when she opened her eyes. I rescued another kitten, Pru, from a bad situation, and they became best friends. They played together as kittens all day, and even now, they still scamper around chasing each other and are always cuddling and grooming one another. Squeak is one of the most outgoing and affectionate cats you'll ever meet. She is very vocal and loves to chat; she will greet you at the door when you come home. She is always down to be pet and held. She is very active and loves to chase toys and jump onto the platform of her scratch post. Has all vaccinations; spayed; microchipped. Must be adopted with Pru. Neither has behavioral issues! I'm moving and can't keep them, much as I wish I could. They come with litter box, auto feeder, carriers, etc.

Story
Chana is a 3 year old gray and white domestic short haired ball of fur with a sweet and sassy personality. I adopted him at 3-months from Petsmart via Last Chance Animal Rescue. We were told that he may have challenges with petting and being held, but during his time with us he’s become very cuddly and easy to pet and hold. I am currently seeking an adopter that has the physical capacity to love on Chana the way he needs. My work and travel schedule unfortunately doesn't allow me to be there for him as consistently as I was initially and it is creating a tough arrangement for my sweet boy. I am hoping he can find a loving home with lots of care, attention and loving rubs.

Story
This is Alonzo and Adonis. They are brothers and come as a pair! We are so sad that they have to go but we want to find them the best home. These two are like two peas in a pod, very sweet and very loving. Adonis is a little bit more shy than Alonzo but Alonzo always leads the way for the both of them. These two are almost two years old (birthday in April) so they are still fairly active and playful. We are looking for experienced pet owners that can take and love them together as a pair and give them the best and most comfortable home.

Seeking a Loving Home for Two Wonderful Cats - James and Alice. I am on a heartfelt mission to find a new, loving forever home for my two cherished cats, James (affectionately known as James Bond) and his sister Alice (Alice in Wonderland). James, an 8-year-old charmer, has a big heart and enjoys nothing more than to curl up on your lap (or strategically position himself on your feet) to purr contentedly. His sister, Alice, shares his affectionate nature and together, they make the ultimate companion duo. James and Alice are indoor cats who have been treasured members of our family, receiving the utmost care and attention. They were rescued as kittens and have since been living a pampered life filled with love and comfort. It is with a heavy heart that we seek a new home for them, due to circumstances beyond our control. We are looking for a pet owner who understands the responsibility and joy of caring for cats. It is crucial that James and Alice are adopted together.

Brothers, must go to the same home. They play with each other and keep each other company. They are both very sweet. Charley is more outgoing. Harley takes a bit to warm up but then loves to cuddle. We don't have the time to give them the love and attention they deserve as I am in school and have a young baby. They are great with kids. House trained. Playful. They come with two cat boxes, large scratch stand/play house, cat bed, two sets of cat water/food bowls and window mount bed.

Story
Hi, this is Duke! He's an 11 year old grumpy boy who is in need of a new home. I adopted him from my good friend's sister, who had him from birth until he was 10. Unfortunately she ended being very allergic to cats, but decided to keep him anyways, which led to him being raised in isolation. This has caused Duke to be very unsocialized. He cannot live with any other cats or dogs, otherwise he'll develop feline lower urinary tract disease (crystals in his urine), and he can be a little feisty with humans, even his own! I've learned that he tolerates top of the head scratches and back pets under certain circumstances, and can be held for short periods as well. If he's unhappy with the way you're touching him, he will bite! He generally enjoys being left alone, but is very food motivated and will seek out carbs! He loves cardboard scratching pads and kicker toys, and is happy to use either clay or crystal litter.

Story
Ringo is having litter box issues that we suspect come from hormonal-stress issues from living with two other cats. We firmly believe that he would benefit from living in a loving home without other pets. He is a sweet, loving cat that can be energetic and likes to play when he’s not cuddled up right next to you.

Story
Blue's Personality Blue is a big sweet boy who loves, loves, loves to snuggle in your lap. He responds to being petted and brushed by purring loud and long! Blue is a confident kitty who likes to explore new surroundings then choose his favorite spot to hang out. Blue is full of personality and a very vocal boy. He's also very playful - they way he dribbles a toy ball, Blue could be a champion soccer player! He also likes batting a ball on a string like a tetherball and wrestling with catnip-packed toys. But most of all, Blue loves a nice lap to curl up in where he can feel warm and loved. Blue is a social eater who sometimes wants you to pet him before he eats while he's siting at his food bowl. When you do this, he fills the room with his loud purring. This big boy is very food motivated - he will let you know when its time for his meals. Blue needs carefully portioned quality low calorie food provided in smaller meals a few times a day (3 to 4 times per day is ideal). What Type of Home Blue Needs Blue needs a home with more than one person where people are around to keep him company. He will not do well in a single person home or where people are rarely home. He needs some activity around him and having more than one person in the household will help keep him entertained. Blue will do best in an adult-only home, but would do fine with an older cat-savvy child (about 10 yrs or older). NO young children now or in the future. He apparently doesn't do well with dogs, but is fine with other cats. While he may do great with the right cat buddy, if having another cat means this would interfere with the type of food he eats or providing carefully portioned meals, then its best that Blue be a single kitty. Where Blue Came From Blue was transferred to SPCA NOVA's care from a shelter. He had been surrendered to the shelter because he and the resident dog apparently didn't get along. So sad this sweet boy was uprooted from his home but we know there is another wonderful home out there waiting for him!PLEASE NOTE:  we only adopt to residents of the DC metro area, which includes DC, Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties in MD, and Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun Counties in VA. Rehoming Two Very Affectionate Cats I am faced with the difficult decision of finding a new home for my two sweetheart cats. They are two years old and from the same litter. Healthy, neutered, and up-to-date on vaccines. Due to financial circumstances, I am moving in with my family, where there is a dog that is aggressive towards cats. To ensure their safety and well-being, I am seeking a kind, safe, and loving home where they can continue to thrive together. Please see the attached photos. If you are interested in providing a forever home for Moose and Bao, or if you know of someone who might be, please reach out to me at the email provided. Your kindness and assistance in spreading the word are greatly appreciated. Gratefully, Isabel

Story
Little Bear Cub got his name bc he is the largest in the litter, sleeps the most and had a cute little belly for first 8 weeks! He is very sweet and a bit reserved; loves attention but you generally need to go to him and he’ll greet you with a cute little bum wiggle… just like his mama’s. He loves to play and is the gentle giant of the litter. He is the last kitten that needs to be homed and it’s my strong preference that mama and LBC go together. Mama (Noiree) was a stray that gave birth on my porch. She is only about 2 yrs and is just wonderful - with a fun and quirky personality. Due to environmental hazards - I am not able to keep her long term as she is definitely an inside/outside cat and will thrive the best in that situation. A home with a good sized yard - in a residential neighborhood would be the most ideal so she can go outside from time to time. Mama and LBC are bonded and will make great company for each other. Please see Noiree’s profile for more info about her.

Story
Noiree was a stray I fed outside for many months and she ended up giving birth to several kittens on my porch in Dec. I took them inside for the winter where she has been adapting to inside life while taking incredible care of her kittens. Noiree is about 2 years ago. She is not yet a lap cat but loves to sit close by and loves to be petted. With proper care and love- she is now just stunning - beautiful coat, healthy weight and has a cute personality. She is very much an indoor/outdoor cat and will thrive in a home with a yard, not near a busy street where she can go in and out at some points in the day. She does not wander too far but needs to ‘smell the roses’. She can be a bit fearful of loud noises and will take some time to warm up to visitors and strangers. Due to many environmental hazards near my house, I am not able to keep her unfortunately. Also, she must be adopted along with her kitten- Bear Cub - whom she is very close and bonded with. Please see his page for more info.
