Story
Meet Benji!  He was abandoned outside of the Catfe in Ferndale in 2022.  Unfortunately we don't know his story before he came to us, but he Is one of hte most firendly and loving kitties you will ever meet.  He had some digestive issues but at the time he moved to adoption he was doing great on special food.   He was adopted about a year ago and he was returned to us with pretty severe constipation and very impacted.  After 3 trips to the vet to help clear out his bowels, he is in a great place again.  He is on a prescription canned food and he is taking miralax once a day (a laxative powder that just gets sprinkled into his food).  He loves all the kitties and humans in his foster home and would do great in a home with other kitty friends.  You can tell he feels like a new cat, and is so happy to be feeling good again.   He needs an adoptive home who can keep him on a special diet and keep on top of his veterinary care if he has any problems. He should stay on canned food and his humans need ot make sure he stays hydrated and doesn't get constipated.  He is neutered, microchipped, and in great health other than just needs an adopter who can keep him on a special diet.  He is an absolute sweetheart and would be a great addition to any family.   Apply to adopt him today!   Adoption fee: $150 ##1538778##

Story
Eric Foreman, Fez, and Kelso were abandoned at a home in Novi when their person died suddenly. They were very scared and living in a small room, separate from the rest of the house. They are approximately 10 years old. These handsome boys were all very shy when they landed in our care. Eric & Fez are the shyer of the three and they hide in a kitty cave most of the day. Some of our wonderful volunteers have been working hard to gain Erics trust since he arrived and he has made some wonderful progress. This sweet boy LOVES churu treats! Eric Foreman would do well with a patient and loving human who could continue to work with him in order to help him learn how to trust. He would also do best in a forever or foster home with a more outgoing friendly resident kitty.   His adoption fee is $150. Please apply or schedule a visit to the Catfe Lounge to meet him today! ##1631883##

Story
Hi! My name is Corabelle and my foster mama calls me Cory. I used to live in a pretty cramped place with several of my siblings until FCS came in and transported us all to safety in April. I don't even think I had my own litter box or slept in a sun patch until I arrived at the Catfe. My foster mom came one evening and selected me to take home - and it has been such a pawsome experience to know what a home is. I was extremely timid at first since my last "home" did not spend time with me or many of my siblings and I must admit that it took me some time to come out of my cave and into the sun patch on my foster mama's bed. She has been instrumental in my confidence and trust and I love to play with her and all the toys she's gotten me. She is the one that got me my first toy and shook it in front of me - it sort of took me a few to figure it out but when I did, I've never had more fun! I really like squeeze treats but nothing seafood - it's too stinky.  I used to dislike being touched and it would make me flinch, but now I adore all the pets my foster mama gives me. She's been so patient and loving with me that I really adore her. I stay pretty close to her since she makes me feel so safe. My foster mama refers to me as Cory, her sweet girl and told me that she thinks I'm ready to find my FURever home. I think that I might like a playmate since I miss some of my siblings, but I also think that I'd like a hooman that is home a lot so I can continue to blossom and spend time alongside them. I will require some patience since it will be somewhere new but if the hooman is willing to continue to work on my confidence and trust, I'd make the purrfect sidekick. Apply to meet me today! $150 adoption fee ##1681567##

Story
*Goldie and Rod are a BONDED PAIR* *UNDERSOCIALZED - WILL REQUIRE SPECIAL ADOPTER* Goldie and her bro bro, Rod, were rescued from a Southfield yard as part of a litter, in the summer of 2021. Goldie and Rod have been been in a loving foster home learning how to trust humans. Their foster mom has done a wonderful job of helping them feel safe and loved. They love to snuggle up on the bed with their foster mom at night and lounge on the couch with her during the day. Goldie and Rod also love to watch tv - especially bird tv! With the consistent love and patience of their foster mama, they have blossomed into increasingly confident and social kitties. They LOVE LOVE LOVE sitting by the open window, feeling the breeze on their whiskers. Rod loves to chirp and chatter. Goldie enjoys stealing Q-tips from her foster mama's stash; she plucks one out, throws it around and comes back to pluck more. Goldie also enjoys batting a ball back and forth with her foster mama on her favorite ball tower toy.  Goldie and Rod both go cuckoo for the squeeze treats and that has been one of the best ways to engage and build trust and adoration with them. They are searching for their FUREVER happy ending together and will be a great pair for a hooman that can provide devotion and patience for a couple of kitties that got a challenging start. Please apply to meet them today! Adoption fee: $250 for the pair. ##1167461##

Story
Meet Simone!  She is a beautiful, gray kitty who is one of the 40 cats that were removed from a hoarding situation in April 2023.  Simone is very sweet and has been gaining confidence in her foster home. She enjoys trying new toys, however, her favorite one remains simply a ball. Either hard, fuzzy, or crunchy works, as long as it’s round! Her other favorites are springs and mice, and she enjoys the laser and wand toys. Her other favorite activity is looking out every open window in the house. She has been using a cardboard scratcher every day, she doesn’t scratch anything else. Simone has become more approachable and is getting in closer proximity to humans each day. It seems she likes to be around and involved by sitting nearby. She doesn’t meow at all, she just comes and stares at you and it’s your job to figure out what she wants! She uses the litter box properly and is very clean. She is spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped, and has tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV.  She would love a home that would give her some patience and love. She would do well with another friendly kitty in her age group since she often seems lonely and would enjoy another playmate. Due to her history and skittishness, we think she would do best in a quiet home without dogs or children.  Simone's adoption fee is $150. Please complete an application to meet her. ##1689530##

Story
Litten was born as a stray at my boyfriend’s friend’s house, and I took him in when he was very young. He was a very scared little one, and I just let him do his thing to get comfortable in my place. I have a large breed dog that he adores with all his heart. I recently moved in with my boyfriend who also has two cats. They absolutely despise him. So they do not get along when he wants to play, and they try to beat him up when he is just laying there. But they also cuddle and sleep with each other. So it’s a love hate relationship. He is the most behaved out of the three cats. He listens when I tell hime no. He just likes to dig in dirt. He greets me every morning upon getting up, wakes me up if I’m up in time, sends me off to work or wherever I’m going, and just wants to be near me and chill. He is a super sweet boy, my boyfriend just hates him and I’m no longer allowed to have him here. He loves toys, even dog toys, so he’s easy to entertain. And loves watching bird videos.

Story
Hi, my name is Sandy, I`m approximately 11 weeks old and came to Macomb County Animal Control with my litter mate Danny after we were found abandoned in a box and a kind resident brought us in. We are now in search of our furever homes. We are both a little shy at first and may need a little extra time to get adjusted to our new home and family, but once we are comfortable, you`ll see how sweet, playful and curious we are.If you have another kitty in your home that would be so great, that way we can keep each other busy while you`re out doing whatever it is you humans do when you leave to house. We should be fine in a home with children of all ages as long as we are properly supervised. We have never lived with dogs, so if you have one, slow and proper introductions are necessary. We are up to date on all our age appropriate vaccines, but we will have to meet our new vet after you adopt so that we can get a check up and anything else that we may need.If you are interested in meeting me, my brother or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, they are open M-F from 10am-4pm. To help speed up the adoption process, it is suggested that you complete the online application found at the link below.https://animalcontrol.macombgov.org/AnimalControl-AdoptionApplicationMy adoption fee is $100

Story
Hi! My name is Chibi! My name means `small & cute` in Japanese, and well that fits me to a tee!I was found outside next to my siblings who sadly didn`t survive. No mom around either. I am very grateful to have been found! I was cold and hungry and so scared all alone!I`ve been in a foster home since then, and I`m finally ready to find my furever home! I`m a super high energy kitten that loves nothing more than to run around the house and play all day. I love all sorts of toys! I`m learning how to fetch, I`m pretty good at it if I do say so myself! I also love climbing up to the very tippy top of the cat tree and keep watch on what everyone is doing. I`ve been around other cats & kittens in my foster home and get along great with all of them; I most definately need to join a family that already has an active cat or kitten. I`ve not been around dogs or young kids, but I have a great outgoing personality, so I should do fine with a proper slow introduction. I`m a big talker with a lot to say, and I will purr at the drop of a hat. Because I lost my mom at such a young age, I will seek you out for comfort suckling. I should outgrow it as I get older, but I really enjoy suckling your neck. I promise I`m not a vampire, I just do it to self soothe. I`m current with all my age appropriate vaccinations, but will need to see your vet within about 14 days for additional boosters to keep me happy & healthy. My adoption fee is $100You can meet me at Macomb County Animal Control Mon-Fri from 10-4pmFill out an adoption application here:https://www.macombgov.org/departments/departments/animal-control/adoptions/adoption-application
