This copper eyed wonder was surrendered to us on Thanksgiving Eve of last year as an emergency medical case and what a wild journey he’s had since. After countless tests, we discovered a liver shunt and rallied the community to fund a risky, specialized surgery. Kabocha pulled through like a champ. Just as he was bouncing back, he faced another life threatening hurdle: a urinary blockage that required emergency PU surgery. Once again, he beat the odds. Despite his medical challenges, Kabocha's spirit remains bright and full of life. He is the epitome of a wonderful kitty, and we believe he will make an incredible companion for the right family. Today, Kabocha is thriving. His bloodwork looks fantastic, he’s off all medications, and aside from possibly needing prescription food (we’re still figuring that out), he’s a totally normal, happy go lucky cat living his best life. But don't let that adorable face fool you, this little fighter has a spicy side too, which he desperately needed to fight through all of the setbacks that got him here.
