The lovely Reveille is affectionately known as The Grouch.  Her expression always says that she's miffed at the world, but we do watch her play.  Mostly, Reveille likes to nap.  She's a cave-dweller cat, not a tree-dweller (although she really, really likes the box for recycling on the end of the kitchen counter).  Yes, Reveille likes boxes.  Any empty box set on the ground is hers.  And wicker.  So we got her her very own wicker "basket" (although it isn't exactly a basket).  Reveille is likely middle-aged, although she won't tell us for sure.  She's been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper.  Reveille had a dental done as well.  She's negative for FIV and feline leukemia.  She does have multiple lumps under her skin, but they are completely benign, nothing needs to be done.  We haven't noticed them growing (although Reveille's belly has been growing here thanks to her love of food).  Reveille is available for adoption for $50.  She is NOT declawed.   By the way, Reveille can be a bit grouchy so doesn't always want to be touched, at least not for long.  And she isn't a cuddly girl.  But she is a fabulous companion, just being there, making a house a home.   Reveille lives peacefully with other cats and a large dog.   Our rescue survives on donations.  All kittens are available for $60 each and all adults for $50 each.   Please note that we are located in New Prague, MN. The lovely Javan is coming up on 8 years old this May.  We know that because she originally arrived in our care at about 10 days old.  Javan was adopted as a 2-month-old kitten (after she was spayed).  My understanding is that Javan was a beloved family member, but then human children came along.  And Javan didn't care for their chaotic movements, etc.  Javan would love to have a home of her own without young children (or at least her own space with all her necessities as a retreat away from any toddlers).  She also requests to be an only cat.  That is her preference.  Javan is vaccinated against rabies and distemper.  She's negative for FIV and feline leukemia.  Javan is not a huge fan of the vet, by the way, but she loves affection and makes an enjoyable companion.  Javan is available for adoption for $50.   Please note that Javan lives in New Prague, MN.   1700+ adoptions and counting. . .Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 12, 2024, 2:57 pm

Hi, Cupid is my name and I have been told that I live up to my name! I am almost three years old. I am a real love bug! If you are looking for a snuggle buddy, I am your guy. I LOVE to be with my people, snuggle, and play. I haven't met a person I don't like. I have a lot of kitten energy still, but can also sit and watch tv with you if that's what you are doing. My favorite thing is to sit on my foster mom's shoulder or lap and watch her work on the computer. I am really easygoing and warm up in no time to a new environment. I would love to be your one-and-only. My foster mom says I am the sweetest cat she has met! Do you have room in your heart for a lover like me? I do want to let you know that I am a special needs kitty. I have a chronic upper respiratory issue that may never go away. I will most likely require a shot of medicine every so often probably for the rest of my life as I had some pretty big trauma when I was younger that caused it. But if you can handle it, I will make it up to you ten fold! My illness is not something that can be spread to dogs, so if there is a fun/friendly dog in the home, I would love that. I like to play with a cat wand and like a big soft cat bed. He does require a daily medication mixed in some wet food.Cupid has had a complete wellness exam, is microchipped, neutered, tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV, and is updated on vaccinations. His adoption fee is $225.00 which includes a free wellness exam within 7 days of adoption. Cupid is currently located in a foster home. Payment is either cash or check. Sorry, we do not do any out-of-state adoptions. ADOPTING A PET IS A LIFELONG COMMITMENT!

Harry is 13 and likes attention, especially being scratched under his chin and behind his ears. He likes to sit on someone's lap and snuggles in for a petting and purring session. He does NOT like being petted on the top of his head. Harry enjoys being brushed. He's lived in a house with a three-season porch so he can see the outside world and approaches any and every door in the hopes of going outside. He is independent but likes to be around people. He would prefer to be the only pet but would be ok with a calm dog or another cat. He doesn't play very much but loves rubbing his face on the cat nip toys. Harry is diabetic and requires insulin injections with twice daily meals. He is very good when getting the injections. Adoption Fee: $200, plus taxes Location: Foster Home Reba is a bit of a shy girl and it takes a little time to get to know her, but once you do Reba is a very sweet and affectionate 1 year old with a cute little squeak of a voice. She is usually very eager to welcome you and say hello and circle around your feet for some pets. She will also make some biscuits on your lap and maybe park there for a bit. That is what Reba's personality is really like when she knows you, but you do have to have some time and patience to make her feel safe and secure and make friends with her. Once she lets you in she is very sweet and a devoted companion. She is very treat motivated and this is great way to get to know her. A chicken churu is her favorite. When she is enjoying her treat you can slowly start to pet her and become friends. There is a cute little video in her pictures of her being sweet and enjoying some pets. When she is calm and relaxed Reba loves to play a bit and has fun with a wand toy with a feather on the end. She likes other kitties as well, especially if a new friend is not too domineering with her. Reba is spayed, microchipped and is current with vaccinations.
