Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi! I'm Arrietty, a playful, social, and friendly young lady.  My FAVORITE thing ever is to PLAY! I love to chase glitter pom poms, ear plugs, erasers, bugs, and anything small all over the house.  If I found a family who could play with me and cuddle me a LOT, I could go to a home without another cat. But I like cats and really appreciate having feline friends to groom, cuddle, and chase.  I've even won over the old man cats in my foster home.   I'm named for Arrietty, the main character of the Borrower books who was always in search of a safe home, because when I was a street cat, I kept trying to sneak into houses.  Now that I've gotten indoors, I like to stay indoors! I do like to have a perch where I can look out a window, though.  It's too bad I can't speak people language, because I know everything that's happening in the neighborhood.  I like strangers and would make a great shop cat.  I have not met a dog yet, but am not easily spooked and probably would get used to a respectful dog quickly.   One of my favorite hobbies is hiding in my foster mom's room while she gets ready for bed, so I can sneak snuggle her.  My cardinal rule is that nobody naps alone.  Another hobby is hiding my favorite toys in blankets and furniture.  Every night we have Zoomie Hour.  (Sometimes its more like....Zoomie Four Hours). One other thing I like is food.  I am learning table manners but sometimes need to be reminded to leave my family's dinner alone. They have hidden the garbage cans so I can't help myself to midnight snacks anymore.  Treats have helped me learn that toenail trims and brushing can be fun. I'm still learning to keep my claws retracted when playing with the humans, but I'm getting better at it! When I came into rescue, I had a belly full of surprise babies!  I loved playing with my two kittens, but they got adopted and now I'm ready to find my very own forever home.  Being pregnant in a new house wasn't fun, and I showed my unhappiness a few times by peeing outside my litterbox. Things have gotten better since then and I am very consistent about the litterbox now. If you have a window, some treats, and time to play with me - please put in an application! I'd love to make your home mine. *indoor cat only* Please fill out a Feline application here: https://underdogrescuemn.com/adoption-applications/feline-adoption-application/ ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. I'm Maren. My foster mama says I am hilarious. I love love love to play and am always bopping around the house annoying my foster siblings. I can be an independent girly but I would also love to have a companion kitty or kiddos to play with in my forever home. I am a champ at using the litterbox and I absolutely love mealtime. Toys are my second favorite thing after snackies and I will quite literally play with anything. If you are looking for a social, intelligent snugglebug purr machine I am your girl! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Jan is a curious and very playful 8 month old girl who is is hard not to fall in love with - look at those eyes! She is quickly learning how awesome indoor life is. She was dumped at a common dumping site for animals up north in Minnesota. Once she gave in to letting her fosters pet her, she couldn't get enough. Jan loves toys and treats, so she is easily bribed. It will still take her a few weeks to warm up and will need a home willing to be patient at first. It seems like she wasn't handled much as a kitten, so can get a bit mouthy when she plays, but is learning and doesn't mean any harm by it. Because of this, she would do best in a home without young kids. Jan is used to being around a lot of other cats, so would do best with cat friends to play and cuddle with. She currently has the important job of being the resident greeter for all of the new cats that come in to her foster home and makes sure they all get smothered in cuddles and know that they'll be okay! Jan is currently fostered in Becker , MN Interested in adopting? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Yeti is a 1 year 10 month old boy who grew up in a shelter in Mexico, until catching his freedom ride to Minnesota! Yeti is sweet and friendly with other cats, is affectionate, and has a lot to say! He loves attention, makes biscuits when he walks, and his whole body vibrates when he purrs. He's an independent guy though, who would do well with a family who does need to be away from home for work.   Yeti takes a bit to settle in and decompress, and MUST go to an adoptive home with patient people and another welcoming kitty, to help him feel comfortable. Yeti doesn't play a ton, so would do just fine in a home with another mature and friendly kitty and a cat savvy/respectful dog.   Interested in adopting? You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   This is sweet Janie! She's around a year old, and came to us with kittens. Now that her kittens are weaned and have found their own fur-ever homes, it's Janie's turn! Janie is commonly found sitting in the windowsill with her big vibrant beautiful green eyes taking everything in. While window-watching is her favorite thing to do, she also is an expert cuddler and has loves climbing cat towers and has recently started playing with toys. Janie would be fine as a solo cat without dog or cat siblings, but LOVES all humans of all ages. She could also do fine with another cat who is independent and respectful of boundaries. This petite, sleek, beauty has so much love to give, she'll make a great addition to any home!  Janie is currently fostered in Farmington.  Interested in adopting? He loves to explore and climb like every kitten does, and for the most part has a mellow and calm personality. Asteroid originally came to us from Kentucky, and is now looking for his fur-ever home! Asteroid would do best in a home with another outgoing and bold young kitty in his home to show him the ways. If you're looking for a pair of kittens, Asteroid's BFF is Argyle - also available for adoption! Kittens do so much better in pairs, socially and developmentally! He's now approx 8-9 weeks old, and looking for his fur-ever home. Argie loves to play with any and all toys - ribbons, feathers, and toy mice are his favorite. He's an expert ball chaser and an adventerous climber. He's currently fostered in a home with adult cats who he's not at ALL intimidated by, and 2 dogs who he bravely faces with gusto. Argyle knows how to tone things down though and take a good nap with his foster family, and he's happy to rev his engine up with purrs.  Kittens do so much better in pairs, socially and developmentally!
