Delilah is all white except for a black tail and 2 spots on her head. The vet thinks she was born in 2019. Delilah is quiet, avoidant of strangers, friendly with her trusted persons, and affectionate on her terms. She accepts a little brushing on her back, shies from petting, and doesn’t want to be held. If there is no competition, she rolls over on her tummy when playing with wand toys and also plays by herself with toys. Delilah enjoys watching wildlife at the window. She gets along with male cats and is competitive with some girl cats. Delilah has not met dogs or kids under age nine. She enjoys the company of her calico daughter, Dotty. Delilah needs a patient adopter willing to give her time to trust and blossom to be the nice cat that she is. She uses a scratching post and has fine litterbox habits. This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Some special breeds are $250+tax. Story
Destiny, a friendly pregnant stray, was turned in the rescue. She is estimated to be 2-3 years-old. Destiny is out-going and kitten active. She jumps into your lap or lets you place her there for short sessions of brushing and petting. She tolerates being picked up, greets you at the door, and follows you around the house. Destiny purrs quickly when she interacts with her trusted person. She hasn’t met dogs, is okay after proper introductions to male cats, and is a bit on the dominant side. She hasn’t met children, but if they are respectful, Destiny should be fine. She enjoys watching the goings on out the window, playing with toys by herself and interactive toys you. Destiny is friendly with strangers after about an hour. She knows her name and comes when called. She has fine litterbox habits and uses a scratching post. Foster pals are available. 3 yr 7 m0 JR was found as an abandoned cat and turned over to rescue. The vet thinks he was born around April 2020. JR likes playing with wand toys and watching wildlife at the window. He likes petting, brushing, and purrs contentedly after a while. He would do best having another cat for a buddy. With proper introductions, he gets along with most cats. JR is friendly with trusted folks and shy/avoidant around strangers. He is affectionate on his own terms. He is quiet until meal time when he tells you to hurry up. JR would be best with kids over age seven, and he hasn’t met dogs. This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Story
Harry is 13 and likes attention, especially being scratched under his chin and behind his ears. He likes to sit on someone's lap and snuggles in for a petting and purring session. He does NOT like being petted on the top of his head. Harry enjoys being brushed. He's lived in a house with a three-season porch so he can see the outside world and approaches any and every door in the hopes of going outside. He is independent but likes to be around people. He would prefer to be the only pet but would be ok with a calm dog or another cat. He doesn't play very much but loves rubbing his face on the cat nip toys. Harry is diabetic and requires insulin injections with twice daily meals. He is very good when getting the injections. He is also on a prescription diet for his diabetes.Harry has had a complete wellness exam, is microchipped, neutered, tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV, and is updated on vaccinations. His adoption fee is $225.00 which includes a free wellness exam within 7 days of adoption. Harry is currently located in a foster home. Payment is either cash or check. Story
Sam is a black and white short-haired cat. He's the most skittish out of all of them. We caught him and his brother (Riley) at the very end of July. He likes being pet, but is very cautious about coming up to people unless he knows them well (and even then sometimes he's hesitant). He sometimes makes a little squeaking sound when he wants pets, which is very cute! Once he's ready for petting, he will sometimes nip at your hand if you're not giving him enough pets! We're working on eliminating that behavior. He is pretty submissive, and the other cats all seem to pick up on that. He doesn't get along super well with our oldest cat (a two-year-old female tortoiseshell cat who was also a stray). He sometimes sneaks up behind her and swats at her. He doesn't do this with any of the other cats, which is interesting. Our tortoiseshell can get a little grumpy, so it's possible she initiated some sort of feud and he's just continuing with it. He is really a very sweet cat. We do think he might do best in a one-cat home, just based on what we've seen so far (unless someone wants to adopt him along with his brother, whom he does get along with fine). Sam has had a complete wellness exam, is microchipped, neutered, tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV, and is updated on vaccinations. His adoption fee is $250.00 which includes a free wellness exam within 7 days of adoption. Sam is currently located in a foster home. Payment is either cash or check. I was born 4/23/24 and am friendly with trusted folks after a short introduction. When you sit I often hop into your lap staying for petting and brushing. I'm a sweet lover boy and cuddler. I play interactively or by myself with toys or my brother Bravo. I'm mellow and laid back and enjoy window watching. I haven't met kids or dogs but would probably do fine with proper introduction. I use my scratching post and have fine litterbox habits. I came from a home with too many cats. Bravo and I would prefer to be adopted together but fill out an app and let's discuss. We're pretty nice guys. Alpha has had a complete wellness exam, is microchipped, neutered, tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV, and is updated on vaccinations. His adoption fee is $250.00 which includes a free wellness exam within 7 days of adoption. Alpha is currently located in a foster home. Payment is either cash or check. Jasper is the most loving creature on earth, he loves constant cuddles and scratches and will follow you around. He’s very social with everyone including strangers. We unfortunately moved to a much smaller home and it seems to be taking a toll on him :( he isn’t thriving here and as much as I love him I know he isn’t as happy here as he could be.
