Jalapeño is a very sweet, active and playful little house panther!  She is great with other cats and an endless source of entertainment.  Jalapeño and her siblings were not well socialized when they were young, at the time she was fixed MARS made the decision to have her ear clipped in case she was unable to adjust to indoor life.  She has ended up a happy indoor kitty.  She is social with other cats, and loves to play.  She also has come a long way with people.  She loves affection on her own terms.  She cuddles with her foster at night and seeks out petting- however she won't let you pick her up, and she will often startle and run if you approach her while she is tending to important panther business.  She will be happiest with another playful and confident cat.   * Kittens under 4 months tend to do best in homes with another cat or kitten for socialization.  If you have previously applied with us please email placement@midwestanimalrescue.org to reactivate your application with new interest.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history. //

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $250 plus taxHi there, I’m Duncan! I’m sweet, silly, and a little quirky—the kind of companion who will keep you smiling with my gentle heart, cute little meows, and playful kitten antics. I’m the kind of kitty who will greet you at the door, rub on you, play with you, and soak up all the attention, pets, and neck scratches you’re willing to give. After I’ve raced around with my bursts of big kitten energy—chasing toys, watching birds and squirrels through the patio door, or zooming through the house—I’m more than ready to settle in for some cozy cuddle time. Being close to my people is one of my favorite ways to recharge, and I’ll happily curl up on you for snuggles and purrs. One of my favorite spots is on my foster mom’s work desk, where I supervise… until I get distracted by biscuit-making, purring, and eventually napping. And squeeze tube treats? My absolute weakness. I’ll drop everything for those—no questions asked!  My ideal home is with someone who will give me a little time to adjust and let my personality shine. Once I’m settled, I’m good with new people and kids. A feline friend would be wonderful, too—I’ve lived with other cats and would love a buddy to play with.  If you’re ready to welcome a gentle, funny, snuggly, quirky kitty who will reward your love with endless purrs, playtime, and affection, I think we’ll be the perfect match. Story
BOO! Hi, it's just me a cute cuddly kitten called Boo. Probably because I jump straight up in the air alot like I was just scared, but really, I am just playing. My foster mama says I am a bit mischievous, but I'm cute so I make up for it. What can I say it works for me!  So I am about 8 weeks old and I love exploring with my brothers and sisters. I also love playing with the resident cats and dogs even if they don't love it as much as I do. When I get sleepy I love finding my humans, crawling behind their neck, and taking a nap. There is just something about the warmth of their hair. I hope my new humans let me do that too. My humans say that my purring makes them want to fall asleep. So if you are looking for a little entertainment and a napping buddy, I am your guy!     Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper (PCR) vaccines appropriate to age, Feline leukemia/FIV/HW test, rabies vaccine, and heartworm, ear mite & flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $250 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 11, 2025, 9:13 am

Story

Story
Princess meme was born June 29th of 2024, I got her when she was just a small kitten. Princess is more than a Cat to me she is my baby. I am absolutely heartbroken that I am not able to take her with me due to moving. She is a very loving cat and loves to snuggle, she loves head rubs & chin rubs. Her favorite toy is the laser pointer, she enjoys playing a lot. Her favorite snack is Squeeze (puréed treat). She needs a loving home with other animals and / or people that will love her just like I do.
