Please contact Moira Corrigan (fastpaws1998@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.JuniperTag No: 6825Registered Name: NoneBreed: German Shepherd MixDate of Birth:  Approx April 2020Color: Fawn/WhiteCat Trainable: NoDog Friendly: UnknownKid Friendly: No young childrenWeight: 75 poundsLocation: Woodinville, WA (Kennel)Comments:  **Juniper comes with Training.  We so want Juniper to find her forever home we have waived her adoption donation - $0 Adoption!  Help us find Juniper a foster home or forever home!!** We are in search of a home for Juniper - foster or adopt. Juniper is a happy, friendly, adorable girl.  She is affectionate and playful!!  She loves to play ball!!  Juniper loves to hang out with you or play in the yard.  She is affectionate and loves to give kisses once she knows you.  Some people scare her, but once she knows you she is darling and playful.  She is so eager to please.  Juniper will need a home with a fenced yard.  Juniper found herself as a young pup in a shelter in California.  She was adopted and then found herself back at the shelter after she was hit by a car.  She then made her way to us as a 'greyhound mix'.  She is beyond darling and is so deserving of a true forever home.  She has a slight head tilt (adorable) and has some hip dysplasia which may need surgery (but that is not a given) as she ages, but now she is absolutely happy and playful.  We did a DNA test on Juniper and we were amazed to see that her mix is 45% German Shepherd, 42% American Staffordshire Terrier, 11% American Pit Bull Terrier and 2% Australian Cattle Dog.  We would never have guessed that she had any Terrier in her - she is a gentle, sweet soul and has a coat more like a Labrador or short coated Golden Retriever.  And while her 'greyhound' roots are not to be found, she is an adorable member of our GPI family and we can't wait to find this darling girl her forever home.  Juniper has made great progress in addressing the reactivity issues and she is expected to continue to make great strides with consistent training.  Juniper is a past Dog of the Month: https://www.greyhoundpetsinc.org/juniper-march-dog-of-the-month-copy/ Sponsored by Kristy Spray Sponsored by Kathleen Meyers, in memory of Roxy. Story
Meet Brutis, He came to us with his best friend Maggie. These two do everything together and are very bonded. They had a family but sadly their owner passed away and so Brutis and Maggie found themselves looking for a place to call home. Brutis is a big sweet boy, He likes to be brushed and is treat motivated. We were informed that he is housetrained but have not put that to the test. He does know ''sit'' and ''come'' but only if you have a treat to bribe him with. Due to his size he looks a bit intimidating at first but don't let that fool you, he is a big sweetheart! We can't wait to find him and Maggie a place they can call home again.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as ''Out of Town'' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.September 22, 2023, 5:07 am

Story
Meet Maggie, this gorgeous 8 year old girl came to us with another German Shepherd named Brutis who is her best friend. They both had a family but sadly their owner passed away and so Maggie and Brutis were brought to Charming Pet Rescue. We were informed they are housetrained but have not put that to the test. Maggie is such a sweet girl, she loves being brushed and getting attention. When you offer her a treat she takes it from your hand so gently! Maggie knows ''sit'' and ''come'' but also just tends to follow whatever Brutis does. They really are the cutest pair! We can't wait to find them a family to call their own again.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Animal Profile: Kimber is a beautiful 4-year-old, 54 lb female German Shepherd who was found wandering as a stray and taken to Everett Animal Shelter. When the shelter environment was too stressful for her, we gave her a "jail break" and she's now in our foster care. Kimber has been waiting for a forever home since November of 2021. Please share and help her find her family! Foster Update: Kimber is affectionate and bonds quickly with her person. She is looking for an adopter who is experienced with high-energy dogs and is willing to continue working with her. She loves lounging in the house watching out the windows. Her ideal home environment would be an adult only household with working breed experience and a securely fenced yard. Shes completed a 4 week board and train program with Lugaru K9 Training to address leash reactivity. Kimber can now walk nicely on leash, and knows the following commands: sit, down, place, heel and leave it. She's not a candidate for dog parks as she easily gets over aroused and needs slow intros to other dogs.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, all core vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a federal 501c3 organization.  Apply online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-applicationSeptember 22, 2023, 4:01 am

Story
Animal Profile: Verina is a 4-year-old, 70 lb female German Shepherd who was transferred to our rescue from Whatcom Humane Society. She lost her previous home when her family had to move due to a military assignment and they were unable to bring her along. Foster Updates: Verina, or Vi for short, is an active girl who loves to play. The bigger the stick, the better, in her opinion! When she first arrived in foster care we noticed a few things that made us think she might be deaf. A vet visit confirmed our suspicions, but you wouldn't know that when you first meet her. Verina is very interested in engaging with her people, and loves going for long walks on the property and playing fetch. She could entertain herself for hours outside, and would love to live somewhere she could enjoy her own yard. She is working on her leash manners, and has come a long way with a training collar. She has a good heel position and she makes lots of eye contact with her handler -- whoever is holding the leash -- for guidance in new situations. Vi knows the "place" and "crate" command as well as "sit" and "down". She can be tentative when first meeting new people, but once she opens up you can see her spirit shine. Verina currently lives with another female dog, but is not interested in interaction as she is very people focused. She is working on learning sign language for her commands, and catches on very quickly. Verina will make a loving and loyal companion in her forever home! Adopter Profile: Verina is looking for a family with German Shepherd or working dog experience. She needs to live in a single dog, adult only household with a securely fenced yard. She would love to live with someone that worked from home. Deaf dog experience a plus! Adoption Info:  Adoption fee is $400 which includes spay/neuter, all core vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a federal 501c3 organization.  Apply online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Major was a transfer from Everett Animal Shelter. Story
Animal Profile: Freya is an estimated 3-year-old, 60 lb female German Shepherd who has a lot of love to give. She is smart and loves to work for you. She will thrive with a strong leader --  otherwise she is prone to anxiety. She is house-trained, crate-trained, fully obedience trained and will do best with a shepherd savvy owner capable of providing her with guidance as well as physical and mental stimulation. Freya LOVES to fetch and BALL IS LIFE. She walks well on a leash with a training collar. This loyal and affectionate girl is slow to warm up to new people and will need an owner who is comfortable managing her safe introductions to strangers, but once you earn her trust, she's very eager to please.  Freya has lived with other dogs and loves to play with them; she's good with dogs big and small, male and female. At this time we are prioritizing a home for Freya with a resident dog(s) as we think she would do best in a pack. She's also been tested with cats and exhibits no prey drive, and is amusingly scared of chickens. She is currently living in a home with small children and has done well with them, but we would prefer to place her in an adult only home.  Adopter Profile:  Large dog experience required Shepherd experience preferred Single family residence required (no apartments) Secure fenced yard required Other balanced dog(s) preferred Cats OK No kids preferred Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $400 which includes spay/neuter, all core vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a federal 501c3 organization.  TAKE HOME TRAINING SESSION INCLUDED WITH ADOPTION Apply online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Freya was found as a stray in Dec 2020 in Tacoma extremely underweight (40 lbs) and very scared. She was taken into Tacoma Humane Society and transferred to Dog Gone Seattle. She was fostered with DGS for several months while she learned basic manners and gained 15 lbs. She was adopted in March 2021 and lived with a caring family. Unfortunately they lived in a condo with no secure yard in a busy urban environment, which proved too challenging for Freya with those particular owners. She was returned to DGS in April 2022 and received a professional board and train with our training partner Seattle K9 Command. She is now being fostered in Bothell and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area.  September 22, 2023, 4:01 am

Story
Bruno was saved from euthanasia at the last minute. He had been picked up as a stray, but even though his owner knew he was at the city shelter, didn't come pick him up. He is a sweetheart. With a little training, he will be a very good boy. He is Shepherd mix and they are very loyal dogs. We have no doubt that he will be someone's best friend.*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41
