This beautiful young medium-sized lady may start off a little shy, but give her five minutes (and maybe a treat or two), and she’ll warm up like a sweet cinnamon bun fresh out of the oven. Ruby has the perfect medium energy level — she’s always down for a romp in the yard or a good sniffari walk, but she’s equally thrilled to flop next to you afterward and enjoy the simple things in life, like chin scratches, couch time, and contemplating the mysteries of the universe (mostly squirrels). Because Ruby grew up in a rural setting, she's all about peace, quiet, and open spaces. Big city living? Absolutely not. Too many honking cars and suspicious garbage cans for this country girl. She’s happiest with a calmer environment where the pace is slow, the air is fresh, and the background noise is birds—not buses. Ruby gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would love a friendly canine buddy to show her the ropes. She’s also incredibly smart, which means training should be a breeze. If you’re ready to welcome a gentle-hearted, clever, adorable companion into your life—and can offer her the quieter lifestyle she was made for—Ruby may just be your perfect match. Apply today and come meet her -- she'll warm your heart as quickly as she’ll warm your lap! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
