A classic "Velcro dog," Ralphie believes that life is a team sport. Whether you are working from a home office, cooking in the kitchen (sous chef is his favorite role), or relaxing on the couch, Ralphie wants to be right there with you. Ralphie can be a little skittish in new environments and may feel some anxiety during his first few days in a new home. He is looking for a patient adopter who understands that the best things in life are worth the wait. Once he relaxes, he transforms into the most energetic, super affectionate, and devoted dog. But don't let his sensitive side fool you—this boy is an athlete! Being a Feist mix, Ralphie has a high-octane engine and is the perfect match for a hiker, runner, or anyone who loves the outdoors. Also true to his Feist breed, he is happiest on squirrel patrol. For this reason, a fenced yard may be preferable. Snacks are also a key to Ralphie's heart. He will do almost anything for a treat, making him a dream to train and a fun partner for anyone who loves teaching new tricks. Second to treats, he loves belly rubs - but be warned, once you start, don't plan on stopping! Ralphie is a unique guy who will reward your love and patience many fold as a fun and devoted companion!

Visit our event page (https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/) to see which one—event listings are usually updated on Fridays with attending dogs. His fur might look jet black, but Ranger has the loveliest chocolate-brown highlights to remind you of just how sweet he is. He’s an active little guy, but he also understands the value of a good nap, especially when he’s snuggling on your lap. When Ranger is outside, he keeps his nose to the ground, thoroughly investigating all of the yummy smells. Speaking of noses, when he’s pacing and sniffing in the house, he’s telling you he needs to go outside to powder his nose, very polite! He loves playing with the resident dog in his foster home, but can be a bit shy at first. He’d also be fine as the only dog in the house; he knows how to keep himself occupied as long as there are some toys around. Ranger sleeps at night in his crate and spends time in there when his foster parents aren’t home.

The sweetest pup I’ve ever foster. He’ll curl up on your lap like a baby but will also run around chasing you when he’s in play mode. He doesn’t cry at all and do very well in car ride. If you’re looking for a pup with enough level of energy to be active with you but also love to cuddle like a teddy bear, this is the one. Adoption Day: March 21st at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt. Meet Jerry, a lovable guy with a heart as big as his adorable eyes! Jerry is a goofy boy who is sure to bring joy and lots of laughs to your life. With his playful spirit and affectionate nature, he will be your loyal companion through life's adventures. Jerry was rescued from a hoarding situation with 20 dogs in an apartment. Because of this he is a little shy for the first day or 2 but after he warms up he thinks the best spot for him is in your lap! He is still learning the world so be a little patient with him but he will fill your life with lots of love. Jerry is about 2 yrs old and weighs 20 lbs. We don't know what breed he is but our best guess is some type of terrier mix and maybe chihuahua. He is great with other dogs and is crate trained. Jerry is located in Texas. His adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport and includes current shots, microchip, neuter and negative heart worm test. Meet Paco, our charming senior Chihuahua with a heart as big as his adorable little ears! At just 8 pounds, Paco is the perfect pint-sized companion. Paco loves to follow you around the house like your tiny, loyal shadow. Whether you’re making coffee in the morning or relaxing in the evening, he’ll be right there, keeping you company. And when he’s had a full day of supervising and snuggling? Paco adorably tucks himself into bed when he’s tired — no fuss, just a polite little gentleman who knows when it’s time to rest. Paco is estimated to be around 10-12 years old and does well with other dogs. I would not recommend a home with small children just due to his age and small size. Paco does have some special medical needs. He came to us with horrible nasty teeth that all had to be pulled. His diet consists of small bite kibble soaked in water to make it soft for him to eat. He also enjoys wet foods of any kind. He also has a grade 4 out of 6 heart murmur and is on a regular heart medication for life. With this medication he still has a lot of life left to live! He is showing no outward symptoms of having a heart condition. Paco is located in Texas.
