Meet Frazzle – the perfect mix of playful puppy and sweet cuddle bug   Frazzle is the kind of pup who wins hearts instantly with his soulful eyes and floppy ears! He's equal parts fun-loving energy and calm companion, ready for playtime one minute and happy to curl up and relax the next while you work from home.   This smart little guy is already showing what a great dog he’s going to be. He’s dog-friendly with both big and small dogs and is obsessed with my 5y/o resident dog - they love playing tug, chasing each other around the house or napping together.     Frazzle has met adults, teenagers and kids (men and women alike) and has loved everyone equally - tail wags are guaranteed. His sweet, adaptable personality shines through in every interaction.   For such a young pup, Frazzle is already building amazing habits: Crate trained overnight: has been sleeping through the night like a champ Working on potty training: catching on quickly with positive reinforcement Great in the car: usually curls up and naps Crate progress during the day: may whine briefly when left, but settles quickly and keeps his space clean   Frazzle is looking for a home that will continue to guide him, love him, and enjoy all the joy (and puppy kisses!) he has to offer. -ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 15 lbs -ESTIMATED AGE: 1.5 years -KNOWN WITH DOGS: Molly also did well meeting some of our neighbors, including few dogs. No wagging tails or proactive sniffing, but polite and cautious greetings. -KNOWN WITH CATS: unknown -KNOWN WITH KIDS: Same with neighborhood kids - very cautious and jumpy with sudden moves and noises, but no aggression. Molly has started to open up more towards our kids, and even jumped into our 7 yr old's lap the other day. She still doesn't play with the kids and ignores them most of the time (she prefers me and my husband), but will sit for her treats and won't say no to a few scratches and pets. -KNOWN CUES: Molly knows now the command "sit", and knows to sit and wait for her meal. We are working on "stay" now. -KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: housebroken. Good in crate during day. Working on not whining at night but she's improving. May have some excited pee that she's working on! -KNOWN LIKES: following her person around -KNOWN DISLIKES: loud noises, new things! Will need help continuing to socialize. ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Molly is coming to HT from a rural VA shelter. Her elderly owner could no longer care for her. Notes from the foster: Molly is starting to relax a bit and getting used to the routine. She is a little skittish so they're working with her on socialization but she's come a long way in the couple weeks they've had her! She soaks up all the love you have to give. She is one of the smartest girls we know and can learn just about any trick in just a few sessions. Maisy is working on her reactivity and has been getting better everyday. She has made so much progress! Maisy is truly the most amazing girl and will make someone extremely happy. Meet Minnie 💕 Minnie is a lovable 7‑year‑old Chihuahua/Beagle mix who is looking for a new forever home after sadly losing both of her elderly owners within the past year. We welcomed her into our home to help her through this transition, but due to our busy schedules we can’t give her the time and attention she truly deserves. Minnie is playful, sweet, and very affectionate—the ultimate lap dog who loves following her people around the house. She does great with cats, dogs of all sizes, and children of all ages. She is mostly housetrained, asks to go outside, and has only occasional accidents, likely due to adjusting to a new environment. She is in excellent health, spayed, up to date on all vaccines, and weighs about 15 pounds. We’re located in the DMV area and are happy to help transport Minnie to the right loving home. Meet Jerry, a lovable guy with a heart as big as his adorable eyes! Jerry is a goofy boy who is sure to bring joy and lots of laughs to your life. With his playful spirit and affectionate nature, he will be your loyal companion through life's adventures. Jerry was rescued from a hoarding situation with 20 dogs in an apartment. Because of this he is a little shy for the first day or 2 but after he warms up he thinks the best spot for him is in your lap! He is still learning the world so be a little patient with him but he will fill your life with lots of love. Jerry is about 2 yrs old and weighs 20 lbs. We don't know what breed he is but our best guess is some type of terrier mix and maybe chihuahua. He is great with other dogs and is crate trained. Jerry is located in Texas.
