K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
Wembley and Mokey are bonded and must be adopted together but only pay one adoption fee! We have the cutest couple ever and they would love to go home with you soon! Wembley and Mokey are super cute and super sweet, and they totally love each other. They are the classic “two peas in a pod” pups. Mokey`s previous chapter was not a great one, but she left these pages far behind her and has already started to rewrite her story. She is an A+ leash walker and a perfect, happy, and easy-to-be-around bestest gal. Wembley is one of those dogs that makes hearts melt. She is so approachable, and she just has such a friendly nature about her. She has oodles of endearing traits, and we all love her! Wembley has this alluring tail wag too which makes everyone smile. Wembley has enjoyed her daily walks, and she is a joy to be with. She at first can be a bit bashful but her charming ways emerge very quickly. Please visit these adorable sweeties today! You will not be sorry.

This sweetie was picked up following a post person because she fed them. Very sweet, friendly and happy, she has the typical hound personalities!! Lily does tend to hang back a little and see what's going on around first. She likes to play and does well with the pups she is with right now. She will need all of the puppy training along with leash work. She is just a great puppy ready for a family to go on adventures with. She is located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

Story
Bodhi is a three year old mixed breed we adopted from a rescue when he was 8 weeks old. He needs a big yard to run in (very important) as he LOVES to be outside and has a lot of energy. He is a very friendly dog with NO signs of aggression other than when going to the vet. He gets along with other dogs and cats (we have another dog and cat) and has done well with children from what we've seen. He knows some basic commands but will need some additional training. He would not do well in a home where he is alone all day. He is neutered and microchipped and is generally a good natured dog.
