Story
** I am currently being housed at our Oglethorpe St location. Come meet me at 71 Oglethorpe St NW, every day between 12pm-7pm. Or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more. No time to come to the shelter? Meet me virtually during our open hours, note that wait time may vary for virtual meet and greets and we require same day pick up if you decide to adopt: https://waitwhile.com/locations/humanerescuealliance/r/welcome Howdy! I'm Pawla. What a great name, right? The shelter gave me that name as I was a stray and arrived with no ID! But I am happy to be here, but I'll be much happier in a home where I can snuggle in laps and get some great play time in. I'm a young lady who is ready for long sniffy walks, oodles of pettings and of course, great meals! So, are you looking for a pretty pup to be your new best friend? Then come on down to HRA and ask for Pawla- I'll be waiting for you!

Barney is an affectionate, sweet boy. Probably not a year old and loves to play. He has that wonderful hound voice but he's not obsessive with it. He does well with other dogs, he's not familiar with cats but plays to hard with chickens. He's very smart and has learned a few basic commands. He would be a loyal companion for a little love. For more information on Barney and our adoption process please enclose your phone number with your inquiry or call Jacki at 941-587-4612.  July 21, 2024, 4:38 pm

Story
Inca is looking for their forever home! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS ABOUT ME: There is nothing Inca loves more than humans and thrives on human connection - she will greet everyone with her wagging tail and endearing looks. A true social butterfly, Inca is a favorite during walks, where she gladly accepts all the pets and praises showered upon her. She loves to spend her days going on long walks in the park, playing tug-of-war, looking out the window, and snoozing at home. She is an independent girl and will do well alone - some quality time outdoors with her people is all she needs to keep her happy. While Inca is generally great on her walks, she is learning to 'look at me' to help with her fear of big trucks. She has fairly good recall (though sometimes she cannot resist reaching the nearest human for pets) and is starting to get comfortable with being off leash outside so she can do what she loves the most - run free and play tag with her human in the park. Inca has been known to do fairly well in a crate in the past, but she is the best-behaved girl when left on her own, and will easily relax in her favorite spots at home. Though she loves to say hello and play with most dogs she meets, she is still learning to share and can get easily overwhelmed, and may be best suited as the only dog at home. Inca has spent her time in different homes, but she is a resilient girl - she is looking for a patient, forever home with people who can understand her sensitivities and give her the comfort she is craving for. ATTRIBUTES: Inca should not be placed in a home with children, but does well with children outside of the home. -------------- Laila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained. We strive to provide accurate information on all of our animals however, we are unable to guarantee an animal's breed, size, health, behavior, temperament, or any other conditions. Our adoption fees are not inclusive of all vetting / medical care, food, supplies and/or training costs. TO ADOPT OR FOSTER: Please apply on our website at www.lailaslegacyanimalrescue.org or email info@lailaslegacyanimalrescue.org if you have questions! TO DONATE: Please consider making a donation on our website at www.lailaslegacyanimalrescue.org so that Laila's Legacy can continue to provide lifesaving medical treatment and training.

Story
Introducing Gomez, an adorable 10-month-old American Foxhound/Chinese Crested mix with a unique Foxl3 hairless gene. He will never shed! 😍 Gomez is already crate trained and is showing great progress with house training. He eagerly awaits your arrival home and has a slight habit of getting overly excited, but he quickly settles down. Gomez is an overall calm and well-behaved companion, who loves nothing more than snuggling up with his person on the sofa to watch television. He is incredibly friendly towards cats and other dogs, making him a great fit for multi-pet households. However, due to his exuberant nature, it's recommended that he be placed in a home with older children to prevent any accidental knocks or bumps with toddlers. Gomez is neutered, microchipped, and UTD on vaccinations. He is ready to bring joy and love to his new forever home! ❤️ RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England/ Virginia area and delivered in Pennsylvania, Virginia and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog.
