Story
This sweet ball of energy is Arlo. He is 2.5 yrs old, and was adopted at 8 weeks old from iHeartDogs in Warren MI. We like to call Arlo the shark-dog, if he stops moving its because hes sleeping! He is very much so a go-go-go kind of dog and gets anxious when he doesnt have anything to do or keep him busy. Because of this, Arlo would do best somewhere that has a lot of room to run around and explore and things to keep him occupied. He is currently undergoing clicker training to try to learn how to decompress from stressful situations as he can work himself up quite a lot during walks. Otherwise, he is very sweet and just wants to play all the time. (Tug-of-War is his favorite.) Arlo knows a TON of fun and essential commands and is an INCREDIBLY smart dog. He’s also hiked with us before and loves being somewhere he can be offleash. Indoors, once he realizes the party is over, he is ready to curl up in your legs under a blanket. Arlo is not a fan of kids and is quite scared of them.

Story
Buddy is a shepherd mix with an estimated birthdate of 4/13/23 and goofy ears. Buddy loves to play other dogs and is good with cats. He is crate trained, housetrained and uses a doggie door. He absolutely adores attention from his human and is good with kids. He enjoys trips to the dog park and rides well in the car. Buddy is ready to snuggle on the couch, in a sun spot outside, or go on an adventure hiking and meeting new people. This handsome guy is ready for a person of his own. Thank you for your interest in a Save a Stray pet. The first step is to complete an adoption application. https://www.saveastray.org/forms/form?formid=3635 Once the application is approved, a FaceTime will be set up for a virtual meet and greet. Since we are located in Mobile, AL, this will give you the opportunity to see the pet interact with other dogs, people, and see a bit of their personality. Transports leave every week alternating between the NE and the Great Lakes.

Are you looking for : Handsom, tall, loving, snuggly, cuddly, loyal, playful and super sweet? If so look no further, Thor is your dream boy! He is located in East TN but Out of state is welcome! In fact if you’re seeing this on adopt a pet the cost of transport to your area is included in his adoption fee! Meet Thor! He’s one very sweet loving and handsome fella! He is weary at first meeting new people but it doesn’t take long for him to warm up to you. He is sweet and very playful. He likes to play fetch and is active. He would do best in a home with older kids and without young children. They are so excitable and have so much energy that they tend to make him nervous. He does well with other dogs that are confident but not dominant. Scary or fearful shy or overly excitable dogs make him nervous and fear reactive. He lacks confidence and needs a home that will teach him that he’s a good boy and that he’s safe. He has been fine with small dogs but we have been told NO cats. He is crate trained and is doing well with potty training and not going in the house or his crate. He is current in vaccines, neutered and on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. He is protective of his people and his home. He is craving to be loved and love you back ten fold. We use Rescue Riders for all our pet transport needs because they are so good with our dogs! They are the best. They are also a non profit so it’s a win win for all! Please inquire about him at petpathorg@yahoo.com Application is found at petpath.org

Story
Ranger is a young, extremely intelligent, playful, handsome GSD/Great Pyranese mix looking for a forever home. He has done wonderful learning manners and obedience at home, and is going through a training program with PRO K-9 with his brother. He has been raised with 3 dogs in the country in Carleton and gets along well. Ranger doesn't jump or get on furniture, or chew on anything he isn't supposed to--just his appropriate toys. He does great with grooming including the nail dremel and blow dryer. He's fully housebroken and crate trained. He eats on a regular schedule and has learned to wait patiently. Ranger loves to work with his people and would do best in a home with breed experienced who will continue his training as he matures. A home with a fenced yard, and no cats or no young children would be best. Born 5/3/23, he is full vaccinated including influenza, neutered, and in good health. Ranger can be alert and wary of strangers as these breeds can be. But he can be introduced well quickly in the home, and is working on more socialization and behavior outside of the home through his training. PRO K-9 will provide a free session to his forever home (within travel range) to help transition him and go over his training, and his extra large crate can go with him. Story
Hi everyone, I'm Billy!I came to MACS when my family moved away- this is my first time being inside for this long, I really love the blankets and all the toys!!The people are all so nice to me, but they say I have heartworm, and Pannus (READ TO THE END ABOUT PANNUS) in my eyes. They take good care of me, and I know they want me to go somewhere they say is even better- a home, with people who love me, and a warm snuggly place to sleep!Just thinking about it makes me so happy- I'm a wiggle butt, and I can't help but bark with excitement! Could the family for me be out there?Pannus in dogs or chronic superficial keratitis (CSK) is an eye condition that can cause permanent damage if not treated properly. It affects the cornea and conjunctiva of the eyes, resulting in cloudy vision, pain and even partial blindness. Fortunately, pannus can be managed successfully with medication.
