COURTESY POST Jackson is such a fabulous boy. He's about five years old and recently lost his person and his home when his dad became very ill. Jackson is confused and lonely. He misses being in a real home and having someone to call his own. He'd love a fenced yard or daily walks, and he loves everyone: people of all ages, cats, and other dogs. Jackson just wants to be with someone who will love him. For now, Jackson is staying at the Humboldt, Kansas, shelter. You can call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387, and we'll connect you with the folks there.

Story
Granger is a lovely German Shepherd dog at our Zona Rosa location. He can in as a stray, so we don`t know his history. This big guy can be a little shy at first, but he warms up very quickly (especially with hot dogs - his favorite). Granger is estimated to be 4 years old - which is a great age! He`s past the high energy antics of a puppy, but still has plenty of playfulness. Plus he knows the joy of a good nap too. We`ll add more details as we learn about this good boy, but why wait when you can come meet him for yourself?Granger is neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines. Now he just needs a forever home!

Story
Meet Marsh, a 1-year-old sweet guy who’s still settling in and getting comfortable in his new surroundings. We’re continuing to learn more about his likes, personality traits, and favorite treats—but he’s already showing all the signs of being a wonderful companion. As we learn more about Marsh, we’ll be sure to update his bio—but don’t wait! Come meet him today and see if he’s the perfect match for you. Marsh can’t wait to find his forever family and start a lifetime of love and memories together.Marsh has been a little overwhelmed during playgroups at the shelter so he has been hanging out with other gentle and mellow pups to help him gain confidence. Our staff will handle all dog-to-dog introductions at the shelter to ensure a great match. Feel free to bring your pup along when you come to meet him!Marsh is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations, and ready for his forever home!

Story
Barnum is an 8 year old good boy who still has plenty of pep in his step. He loves a good sniff session on his walks. He can be a little timid, but his curious side (and some treats) will help him warm up. Barnum came in as a stray so we don`t know his history. So far we`ve learned that he is a big fan of treats and walks nicely on a leash. Barnum is a new arrival and we are just beginning to learn about him. We’ll add more info as we discover more about his personality and fun quirks. But why wait for that when you can find out for yourself?! Come meet him today.Like all our adult dogs, Barnum will need to meet future canine companions before going home. So far in playgroups he has been keeping his distance from the other dogs, and will do best with a slow integration at home. Our shelter staff will lead their introductions in a safe environment to see if they are compatible. At the main campus, you can bring your dog along when you come for adoptions if you like. Barnum is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for a loving forever home!
