Story
We got Snow as a puppy, and she is a very sweet dog, active, and she's very talkative, especially when you are delaying her from eating her food! She loves getting all the pets and is adorable when she is asking to be petted. She likes to play with toys, loves walks, and she is fast and an excellent rodent catcher (and bunnies and birds). She is trained to know sit, lay down, go potty (she is fully housetrained). Snow needs to be an "only (dog) child", as being part of a pack causes her anxiety, especially with other females. She is up to date on all of her vet care, shots, meds, etc. She would do great with someone who could walk her regularly, or lives on land where she can chase squirrels to her heart's content!

Story
Pet Location: Wayside Waifs CampusMy Friends at Wayside say: - I am from a hoarding situation. I will likely need extra time to adjust to home life. I have lived with other dogs but have not socialized with people. Things like walking on a leash and going through doorways can be challenging for me. Adopting me will be extremely rewarding, but I need time to learn. - I’m a shy dog and need someone willing to be patient with me.- During my time at Wayside, I have enjoyed being around other dogs. My home needs are: - If you have kids in the home 9 years old and younger, I will need to meet them since I can be nervous around new people and loud noises. - New people and things make me a little nervous. Wayside recommends that I have a low traffic home. Special Request from Everly: For my safety, I need to go home on an anti-slip collar called a martingale collar. For your convenience, we sell them in our retail store, Whiskers and Wags.

Story
Pet Location: Wayside Waifs CampusMy Friends at Wayside say: - I am enrolled in Waifs with Wisdom. This is a program for dogs to learn basic commands and leash walking skills. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session. - Don`t be fooled by my age, I still have a lot of puppy energy!- Loves tennis balls and stuffy toys!- My previous owner said that I am house-trained. - I am eligible for a Slumber Pawty, a 7-10 day in-home trial period. My home needs are: - I need a home without other dogs - I prefer having your attention all to myself!- I have a lot of energy and need an active adopter!- Cats are much too interesting to me, so it recommended my home be cat free.- Wayside recommends bringing your children 9 years old and younger out to meet me before adoption to make sure they enjoy my enthusiasm for life! - Recommend no apartments or shared living spaces for me- when I am in busier areas with lots of other dogs around I can be reactive on leash.Check out my super cool video! Scroll through my photos to watch it. Hi there, I’m Xena!I’m a 7-year-old German Shepherd with a zest for life and a heart full of love. Don’t let my age fool you, I’ve still got plenty of that classic Shepherd energy and goofiness that’ll keep you smiling every day. Whether we’re going for a hike, hitting the trails, or just playing in the yard, I’m always up for an adventure with my favorite people.I’m both housetrained and crate trained, so I’ve got the basics down. What I’m really looking for now is an active home where I can stretch my legs, explore the world, and be included in your daily life. I thrive when I have a job to do, even if that job is simply being your loyal sidekick.I got to go on a field trip. I jumped right in the back seat. I rode in the car beautifully. I loved being able to stick my nose out of the windows. We only walked around Minor Park for about 30 minutes since it was already so warm. I did great. I enjoyed a sausage biscuit and an ice cream pup cup from Sonic. We went for an extended car ride after that. I had so much fun. I can`t wait to go again.I am a bit afraid of other dogs and unsure of the best way to interact with them. My friends at Wayside have been working on teaching me how to be comfortable around other dogs but for now, I`ll need a home without other dogs in it and where I don`t have to worry about going to dog p

Story
Meet Violet! 💜 DOB: 10/01/2025 Breed: German Shepherd / Hound mix (best guess) Violet is an adorable puppy with a sweet face and a bright future ahead of her. Her dad is a German Shepherd, and mom appears to be a hound-type dog, giving Violet a nice mix of intelligence, curiosity, and puppy charm. Like all puppies, Violet is still learning the ropes of potty training and household routines. She’s at the perfect age to learn with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Puppies from this litter have been reported to be smart and eager learners, and Violet is no exception. Violet is looking for a home ready to embrace all things puppy — training, playtime, and plenty of love. With guidance and commitment, she’s sure to grow into a wonderful companion. If you’re ready for a puppy adventure and a loyal friend, Violet may be the perfect match for you! All of our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. Adoption fee for all dogs/pups: $225. Our dogs are in foster homes across the KC metro. We do not have a shelter facility. Apply here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog

Story
Cylas is 1 year old, 55 pounds, neutered, up to date on all vetting, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250. Cylas was found as a stray and brought to us when no one came forward to claim him! We cannot believe that nobody claimed him, because he is the sweetest man to walk the earth! He loves to play fetch and when he brings the ball back, he will sit on your feet and wait for you to throw it again. Cylas LOVES his people and once he gets to know you, he is bonded for life. He is quite the energetic boy at only 1 year old, so he will need a family that will give him lots of play time and take him for adventures! He does great with other dogs of all sizes and would be super happy to have a canine companion in his forever home. Cylas can jump fences so he will need to be kept on leash until he bonds to his new family, or in a home with a privacy fence. All in all, Cylas is a super handsome, silly, happy-go-lucky guy and his furever family will be so lucky to have him!
