Maxwell is a handsome and affectionate 7-year-old German Shepherd who weighs about 80 pounds and has been fully vetted. He arrived at the shelter in October 2025 when his owner was arrested and Maxwell had nowhere else to go. Despite this tough start, Maxwell is a friendly and generous soul. He’s great with kids and absolutely LOVES to play Fetch—really, he ALWAYS wants to play ball. Here's what a shelter employee said about Max, " Max is fixated on balls. I rescued Bodhi at All Humane Animal Shelter in 2021. He was 13 weeks old when I rescued him. We have been adventures buddies for over 4 years now. He loves going on hikes, being outdoors, and playing fetch. He loves belly rubs and chicken treats. It breaks my heart to have to get him adopted, but I just recently had a baby and Bodhi hasn’t adjusted well. Hey guys! We have a very sweet medical case German Shepherd named Ruger. He is about 2 years old and weighs 83 pounds. Ruger is extremely tolerant, easy to work with and has been friendly with all the other animals he’s met (check out these cat pictures!). Our doctor examined him and found the following - He’s got nerve damage in his right hind leg and the left front has an elbow fracture and is very swollen (we felt a click). The left front really needs immediate repair. His x-rays show a pelvic fracture on the left side and a luxated left front with a chip fracture. The elbow was the real issue and Ruger has now had surgery to put it back in place and secure it. He is recuperating in a wonderful foster home in Texas before he can make the trip to NJ to find a home. We will be updating Ruger's bio as we learn more about his medical condition and this sweet boy's personality.
