Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Rosie (previously Lucy) and her siblings were found in a bin along a country road in Alabama with their tails tied.  Mostly likely, the owner was trying to dock them from home :(  Unfortunately, we do believe that they have permanent damage to their tails, however, it does not bother them! They joined our rescue on February 11th and are now in search of their new forever homes!Rosie has now been with us for 4 months and we are still searching for the right home for her!  She is now 50 lbs and is going to be a large dog, but not huge.  There is a lot of german shepherd in her, but she may have some other breeds in her. What we have learned about Rosie is that she prefers a quieter household.  We had adopted her out, but the family had a business and entertained a lot and it just had Rosie very antsy and unsettled.  It was not the right fit and she was returned. She is timid when you meet her, but she does warm up and becomes a very loving and loyal pet!  She is crate trained and is only crated when no one is home.  At night time, she sleeps with her foster mom.  Rosie is also house trained and will go to the door when he has to go out.  She walks well on a leash and  rides okay in a car (she drools).  We have also found out that she LOVES the water!!Rosie's foster family has a older daughter and she is used to being around children.  She loves to lounge on the couch with her best furry friend, Daisy.  Her foster mom said she is not snuggly with her humans, but enjoys laying with the dogs.  Rosie definitely needs a home with another dog or more and ones that are her size or bigger as she loves to play!   Rosie is spayed, up to date on distemper/parvo and rabies vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention.  The adoption fee is $450.If you are interested in Rosie, please submit an application on our website at https://worthytails.rescuegroups.org.  For any questions, please send an email to jessie.wilson@comcast.net.Thank you for your interest in a rescue pup!PA Dog License #4709 (Cumberland County)Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 10, 2024, 7:14 pm

Story
We are looking for a savvy German Shepherd dog owner to provide a loving and caring home for Maverick. Maverick is a sweet and loving animal who enjoys being outside and receiving attention from his owner and family. Maverick was surrendered by an owner who no longer had the desire or time for a dog in her life. Maverick is currently in a boarding kennel and socializes well with other dogs. He is a very quiet German Shepherd, though after a few days with us he has entertained us with yodeling when other dogs are being played with. He is a smart and loyal friend who does a good job of staying calm in various situations. We hope to find him an owner who is active and wants a companion who has excellent behaviors and advanced obedience, though a little rusty at this time. Someone please give this boy the love he deserves and he will serve you for life.

She does very good on the leash. She is medium energy. She plays well with the other dogs in the house. She is a loving, sweet girl who is gentle and loves to give hugs. She is good with other dogs as well as kids. Stella is about 2-3 years old and weighs 60lbs. She is fully vetted and ready for a family of her own! Shepherd mix or Rottie mix? We aren't sure! We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Updated info as of 7/10/24:   This boy is a great dog who deserves a family of his own. He is the last of his litter available, even his momma is adopted! It's rare that the momma is adopted before all of her puppies are! Snoopy is AMAZING with all other dogs. He gets along great with every dog he has met. He just truly loves other dogs and prefers dogs over people! LOLIf you’re looking for a playmate for your current dog, he’d be an excellent choice. He is great with kids!Good leash manners!Enjoys car rides and rides like a good boy (usually)! My favorite….SLEEPS THROUGH THE NIGHT Crate trained, almost house trained. Very close to being fully house trained!Loves toys. Typical puppy in that he wants to steal things like slippers, shoes, or socks from the laundry basket, though this is getting better. Very go with the flow personality/adaptable and forgiving. Up for anything. He is a medium-high energy dog. He doesn't need extreme amounts of exercise in a day, however, he needs a few good walks every day along with playtime. Once he's gotten some of his energy out, he will usually nap or entertain himself with toys. If you like to walk, jog/run, or hike, he'd be a great partner. Neutered, microchipped, UTD on vaccines, on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.Estimated DOB 11/15/23), weighs about 50 pounds. I don't expect him to get a whole lot bigger, he may fill out a bit more. Probably 60-65 pounds once he's fully done growing. A DNA test done on one of his littermates shows 55% German Shepherd, 28% Staffordshire Terrier, 9% American Pit Bull, 5% Plott Hound, 2% Border Collie, 1% Chihuahua! He is a wonderful boy and more than ready to find his forever home. In New England.
