PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. 11/14/25 Roxy, 18 to 24 months old, 50 lbs, vetted, spayed, monthly flea prevention and 12 month heartworm prevention. We do not know her breed, she is likely very mixed. This site makes us pick a breed, so we went with Kelpie mix bc that’s what my phone guessed she was! Roxy is a work in progress. She was found living in the woods, emaciated and covered in fleas and ticks. For the first few weeks, she was completely withdrawn. She had no interest in playing and didn't speak or bark. Roxy loves to play now and talks alot( I don't always know what she is saying, but I always answer her). Learning to leash walks and potty training are works in progress. Her past has caused food aggression ( she eats in her crate) and mild separation anxiety ( after a couple of hours in her crate, she wants out to be with people). Roxy's ideal home is a large yard for her to run and a patient devoted parent dedicated to helping her overcome her past and live a happy life. Roxy is located in Arkansas and can be adopted locally, or she can transport to the New England area if adopted there. If adopted in New England, her adopter will need to pick her up (or arrange for a trusted friend/family to pick him up) on a Saturday in PA, NY, or CT. Residents of other states may adopt as well, as long as they can meet our transporter along their route. To apply to adopt, click the link. https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 For questions or more info, email apps.aasr@gmail.com Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. Ava Are you looking for a sweet natured, low key, easy going dog who wants nothing except to be loved and close to you? If that sounds like what you are looking for, Ava is the one for you. This sweet angel was dumped along with her puppies, and thankfully an employee of the business where they were dumped took them in to foster. She found homes for the puppies with co workers, but Ava is still in need of a home. This dog is GORGEOUS. Her markings are stunning and her eyes are like deep pools of honey. We do not know her breed. The website makes us pick a breed so we went with Shepherd mix, but she is likely a mix of many breeds. She loves people and is very gentle in nature. She gets along very well with other dogs as well as cats. She loves kids and would be such a good choice for a family with young kids, because she is so gentle and kind. Ava is a young adult, maybe 1-2 years old. She is not very big, weighing about 40 lbs which is a healthy weight for her. This good girl is a total catch! We hope she will have a home in time for Christmas. She is fully vetted. Ava is located in Arkansas. She can be adopted locally, but transport is available to the New England area as well. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them in PA, NY, or CT on Saturdays. To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Anni is in the Christmas spirit! Let’s find her a home. Lots of treats were involved to get these pictures I have so many more pictures and a few videos, message us and we’ll send them to you. She is about 4 months old and quite well behaved for her age. She is such a sweet girl! She is fairly calm for a puppy but has her moments of playfulness. She is much cuter in real life than the pictures show. She’s also smaller than she looks in pictures. *Please note, Anni looks like a Dutch Shepherd but does NOT have the energy of a Dutch Shepherd, just the looks. She is very much a mixed breed. Mom is mixed and dad is unknown. Mom looks like maybe a Lab/Shepherd mixed with who knows what. Anni is likely a mix of many breeds. Mom is about 50 lbs and Anni will probably be about that size or a little smaller once grown. She is a sweet, happy, friendly baby who is very good with other dogs, cats, and kids. She can be shy at first but warms up. She is food motivated. She is working on house training. She does not love the crate but working on it. She is spayed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Froot Loop, the gentle gem of her litter! Out of Honey Nut’s five puppies, she’s the calmest and most easygoing of the bunch. Froot Loop can be a little shy in new surroundings, but once she feels safe, her sweet personality truly shines. She’s playful and loving with her siblings, and when she warms up to you, she becomes the best snuggle companion you could ask for. You’ll often catch her with her adorable little tongue sticking out, even when her mouth is closed — it’s just part of her charm! Froot Loop would do wonderfully in a patient, gentle home that gives her time to come out of her shell. In return, she’ll give you endless love, quiet companionship, and those irresistible puppy snuggles. * Calm and gentle temperament * Playful with other puppies * Shy at first but very loving * Great snuggler * Adorable tongue-out smile _____________ Ready to adopt? Start by filling out our online application (copy and paste the following link) https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DIX/Dog. Once submitted, we’ll review it and reach out to approved applicants by phone or email. A Petfinder Inquiry is not the same as an application - COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a generated confirmation email. DO NOT SUBMIT AN APPLICATION IF YOU ARE NOT CURRENTLY READY TO ADOPT. All of our animals are rescued and transported from South Mississippi where major animal overpopulation means less homes. We only transport them once adopted, in most instances, we can be available for a video call once an application has been approved. WE PERSONALLY TRANSPORT OUR OWN adopted animals to meet their new families. We transport every 2-3 weeks. We facilitate adoptions through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to VA, MD, PA, NJ, CT, VT, and NY. Our dogs travel in comfort with 24/7 care. We have been facilitating long distance adoptions since 2019. ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations. We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible. *** We are currently unable to adopt pets to ME and RI residents.
