Story
Darla is a lovely older German Shepard. Don't let her age fool you. She loves to play. She will chase a ball for hours if you are willing to throw it for her. Darla needs to be an only pet. She is okay to turn out along side other dogs, but cannot be with other dogs. She is a princess and wants her own space. Darla has loved every person she has met and does great at the groomers. Darla arrived as a stray so we aren't sure about her background. She knows basic commands and walks well on a leash. She loves attention. Darla still has a lot of life in her and is looking for a best friend that is okay with only having one best friend.Darla is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. She doesn't have any known health issues. Please consider giving this older gal a warm, comfy couch for her golden years.

Story
Teddy is seeking a home with experience with shepherds. Teddy has a lot of change in his life and needs to find his forever home. Teddy is protective of the people he bonds to so he really needs home where he will not be interacting with people he doesn't know as he can be reactive to new people. Teddy has so much love to give, but he needs to find the perfect situation where he can feel safe and relaxed. Here on the farm, he loves to run along side our ATV and generally sticks with us. Because he is reactive to new people, he would not do well adventuring away from home where you might run into people unexpectedly. Teddy has done well with the female black lab he goes in turn out with. He seems a bit reactive to other male dogs. Teddy will chase cats give the chance, so a cat-free home would be best. If you have experience with shepherds and would like to learn more about Teddy, please contact us today.

Story
Hi, I'm Rolo-a 10-year-old German Shepherd with a heart full of love and a soul that's ready to relax by your side. I may be in my golden years, but I've still got plenty of tail wags, gentle kisses, and warm snuggles to give. I know my basic commands, walk nicely on a leash, and I'm as smart as they come. Treats? Yes, please. I'm a confident, mellow guy who enjoys the simple things-like a cozy couch, a quiet stroll, and just being near my person. If you're looking for a loyal companion to share slow mornings and peaceful evenings, I'm your guy. Let's make the most of these golden years-together.*Qualifies for Pets for Patriots program*Qualifies for Senior-to-Senior programPlease email Adoptions@saltlakecounty.gov with questions Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: Black Weight: 93.0625 Age: 10yrs 2mths 1wks

Story
Hi, I'm Alexia! I'm a sweet, easygoing, and playful dog searching for my FURever home. I love playing with Jolly Balls, chasing balls and squirrels, working with a flirt pole, napping, and anything that squeaks. I'm food- and toy-motivated, which makes training fun and easy! I've learned many commands, including sit, lay down, wait, bed, kennel, come, touch, up-up, and shake, and I'm working on place, gentle, leave it, watch me, and drop it. I enjoy structured walks, playtime, belly rubs, scratches, and plenty of naps in my dog bed or kennel. I walk well on a leash, ride calmly in the car, and keep my foster home clean and intact. I can be a little reactive with dogs on walks or new visitors but am improving with training. I'd thrive in an active, loving, single-pet home with a fenced yard and someone experienced with working breeds. Bonus if you love fetch, long walks, and belly rubs! Let's create a lifetime of memories together!*Qualifies for Pets for Patriots program*Qualifies for Senior to Senior program"Please email Adoptions@saltlakecounty.gov with questions Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: Black Weight: 80 Age: 9yrs 10mths 1wks

Story
Introducing Mari Jane, the sweetest senior pup you could ever hope to meet! At the lovely age of 10, this charming lady has more love to give than a full season of The Golden Girls. Just like Dorothy, she's wise and nurturing, and she'll make you feel cherished every moment you spend together.Mari Jane adores people-much like Blanche adores a good compliment! She lights up at the sight of new friends and is always ready for a cuddle session. This sweet girl loves to roam around the yard, soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the fresh air. Picture her strutting her stuff like Sophia at a dinner party, relishing the simple pleasures of life. Gino, one of our dedicated volunteers, can't help but rave about her. He affectionately calls her his personal favorite, and its easy to see why!Mari Jane can be a little reactive with dogs on walks or new visitors but is improving with training. Story
Nova is a little sweetie and so eager to make her people happy. Her early history is unknown, but we adopted her when she was an adolescent. She was severely underweight and extremely afraid of people. With time and love, she came to trust us again, but still has anxiety issues. She barks at strangers and other dogs, but Nova warms up after some sniffs. Nova does really well with children of all ages. She’s never lived with cats long term, but has coexisted well short term with the ones she’s met. She gets along great with dogs who have similar energy and playfulness. Nova would do best with a backyard and a family that loves to play fetch (she’ll fetch the ball all day!). She is crate trained and absolutely needs one during her transition. Anxiety gets the best of her and her crate helps keep her calm. If you have any questions or would like to meet sweet Nova, please reach out!
