KENNEL ID #18804 Meet the Cuter Things Litter (Inspired by STRANGER THINGS ) This adorable all-girl litter came to us through no fault of their own. Their owner was arrested, and his girlfriend and the puppies had to move out by December 31st. She was able to find a family member willing to foster the mama dog, but sadly there was nowhere for the puppies to go. Thanks to one of our amazing volunteers, these girls were picked up and brought to safety. When they first arrived, they looked like they’d been battling Demogorgons — but after a much-needed bath, full bellies, and some TLC, they’ve transformed into the happy, playful, very cute puppies they were meant to be. The pup's mom is a Goldendoodle mix and dad is unknown. We don’t know what they’re mixed with, but we do know they’re sweet, resilient, and ready to leave the Upside Down behind for loving forever homes. She came to us from a commercial breeder when she was no longer wanted, and despite everything, she has remained a soft, sweet girl who just wants to feel safe and loved. Lila is still building her confidence, but her progress has been beautiful to watch. She allows all handling without hesitation and just needs a couple of minutes to warm up to new people. Once she feels secure, her affectionate, loving nature shines right through. She was briefly adopted, but returned after a few days because she was very uncomfortable with the female adopter and young son, although she was perfectly comfortable with the male adopter. Here at the rescue, she has been absolutely lovely with all our volunteers — men and women — and she’s been a star at adoption events, happily accepting gentle attention from everyone she meets.
