Story
Meet Aries!! This Golden boy lives up to his god's namesake and has a strong yet playful personality. We have been fostering him since he was a puppy when we found him left in front of a grocery store all alone. He is two years old and has done a great job learning his potty training but still needs a strong regimen to keep him on track. Aries loves to be outside and run with the other dogs. He will need to go to a home that either has a fenced in yard or a lot of land for him to romp around on. We are only rehoming him as he has always been a foster for our family, and we feel he is ready to find his forever home. Please be prepared to do a lot of training with Aries as he is very intelligent and needs stimulation to stay happy!

Story
It's Miller Time! Meet our Miller! Miller is a Survivor with a capital S! Sweet Miller came to us with damage to his back knee, we can't be sure exactly what happened, but we know how to make it better from here. Despite a rough start in life, Miller is a fighter and his best life is now ahead of him. Miller will always have some challenges with his back legs; he is under evaluation now to determine what his best options are - whether that be surgery, amputation, braces or therapy, we are committed to giving Miller the best possible outcome. Miller will be looking for a home and family that understands his limitations are secondary to his abilities and the love he has to give. Despite his rough start, this small golden boy is playful, loving, friendly and gets along well with his new foster brother. Are you the truly special person/family to give Miller the love and home he deserves? If you are interested in Miller, please apply. We will get more into depth with his prognosis with qualified applicants as information becomes available.

Story
Meet Persephone! This 4 year old beauty was surrendered after living her whole life with her previous owners because they’re moving overseas. She was understandably very overwhelmed at first being at the rescue. Now she’s a happy-go-lucky girl who absolutely adores all people. She’s good with other dogs, but a little overwhelmed by them at first. She’s house trained and has good house manners. She weighs 52 pounds and is eager to snuggle up on the couch with you!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.June 15, 2024, 2:48 pm

Story
Maggie is a 3 year old golden Pyrenees. We adopted her from our local shelter when she was 2 months old. She has been a great dog. She is super smart and sweet. She loves people, dogs and kids. She knows several tricks including sit, wait, down, up, speak, and touch. She currently lives with our other dog and four cats. With all that being said she does have a behavioral issue with resource guarding. She will resource random things and take them under our bed. When trying to de-escalate the situation she barks, growls, lunges, and has bit my husband multiple times. We have come to believe that because she is a Pyrenees mix ( we didn’t know when we adopted her) that she really needs to have a big yard or live outside with livestock as she is a livestock guardian dog breed. We believe because she doesn’t have this, the resourcing behavior is her way of acting out. We think if someone could get her trained with a behaviorist she would be a wonderful dog.

Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!  My name is Frank Sinatra from Korea and I am a wonderful approximately 1 year old male Golden Retriever - Samoyed mix.  I am approximately 57 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home.  I am very happy, affectionate, and friendly.  l was saved from the Korean dog meat farm where I was due to be slaughtered.  I don’t know how I ended up there but I was so scared and I used to hear the cries from the other dogs as they were taken away.  The activists came and saved us and I can't wait to come to America and find a family to love and care for me forever.  Approximately over a million dogs a year are slaughtered to be eaten.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will come to your home and help train your new pup for only $75.  My adoption fee of $1,795 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.   A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an AirTag from us.  We cannot guarantee breed or age. The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  Please e-mail   admin@gingerspetrescue.org   for an adoption application.
