Story
Hello, my name is Snow! I am approximately four years old and weigh 80 pounds. I am a beautiful girl. My people think I may be a Retriever mix. My mom looked like a Golden retriever but it’s anyone’s guess who my dad is. I’m a very loving girl. I’m very playful and get along well with other dogs. I have never been cat tested so my people are going to say no to a home with furry felines. I would do well with an active family. I would love to go on walks and be out and about. I ride well in the car and would love to try some hikes and be one with nature! I am house trained, but I have never been in a crate. It hasn’t been necessary where I am. I can be a little shy when I first meet new people, but I warm up pretty quickly. I am a smart girl and learn things quickly. I will be a great addition to any family and will bring them many years of happiness. I am healthy, spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Please email adopt@thezoeygroup.com for application instructions.

Story
Adopt Russ! This handsome Labrador Retriever mix is the kind of companion who fits seamlessly into your daily life. He would happily take on the role of your favorite office buddy, and even rides an elevator with impeccable manners.Russ is bright, engaged, and eager to learn. He already knows sit, stay, shake, and lay down, and he picks up new skills quickly, especially with a few treats involved. He thrives when he has small “jobs” or enrichment activities and genuinely enjoys being part of a family routine. He’s also crate trained and potty trained, making the transition into a new home that much smoother. Russ has a couple of good dog friends here at the shelter who he plays with. He’s also a true toy enthusiast. Whether it’s squeaky toys, tug, or a game of fetch, Russ shows up fully. He’s just as content entertaining himself with durable chews like Nylabones or yak chews. When the day winds down, he gathers his blankets into a cozy pile and settles in for a well earned nap.Russ would prefer to be the only dog in your life. He’s the kind of dog who makes every day a little brighter. With his expressive face, playful spirit, and ready for fun energy, he’s impossible not to love. Russ recently completed treatment for heartworm and is heartworm negative! Russ is ready for his next chapter. If you are looking for a loyal, smart, and affectionate companion, he may be the perfect match!Watch a short video about Russ here - https://youtube.com/shorts/fFQzAa8PHjc?si=qpVXeViGlye675tEThe Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Story
🌟 KANE — THE GOLDEN STANDARD 🌟 Now 10 months old, Kane came to us from a home with uncertainty, not being able to rely on the humans providing his care simply put, the situation was too much for his tender young soul. 💔 Kane has been thriving on one of our board members “rescue farm”— running through the fields with a large pack of dogs of all sizes, ages and abilities. He is truly learning what it means to be a dog, and finally understanding what it feels like to be a treasured member of a family and a pack. 🌾🐾 🐾His foster family says he is “the best puppy we’ve ever fostered.” That’s how special he is. 💛 Kane is a dream golden: ✨ Sweet, gentle, soft. ✨ Silly, playful, gloriously squishy ✨ Respectful with dogs, livestock and cats, and good with older kids - teens and up. He is finally breaking free of his fear of contact and opening up to human love, but it has been a slow process - truly, he has preferred the company of other dogs, but he's getting there. Kane needs time to trust humans, and will need a family who can appreciate he the rule of 333 - he will need the time to decompress and relax into a new family situation. Because of his past, we have determined Kane will thrive in a home with these requirements in place: ✔️ Another confident canine companion to show him the ropes ✔️ Respectful children (ages 13+) ✔️ A very secure fenced yard (6 ft) for zoomies and golden grins He’s not built for chaos, but for love — steady, soft, patient love. The real kind. The forever kind. 💛 🐾 Please only apply if your home fits the requirements described above, we are unwavering on these guidelines. We place our dogs where they will truly feel safe, flourish and be loved. Our commitment is to the dogs in our care and we respectfully will decline any home that doesn’t meet Kane’s needs.🧡 Kane is current on vaccinations appropriate for his age, Microchipped and will be adopted to a home with a securely fenced yard for safe playtime, and a contract to ensure neuter by 12 months of age.
