Story
Meet Lucky — a 4-year-old Golden mix from El Paso with a big heart and a second chance at a beautiful future. Despite a rough past, Lucky is learning that the world can be a safe and loving place, and she’s ready to find a calm, committed home to help her continue that journey. Lucky is up to date on vaccines and spayed, and she’s looking for an experienced adopter who understands that trust takes time. She does best as the only dog in the home, or with a very experienced handler, and she tends to prefer male dogs when she does interact with others. With the right environment, Lucky shines — she forms deep bonds with her people and thrives on gentle guidance, patience, and consistency. She’s the kind of dog who will truly blossom once she feels secure, rewarding her person with loyalty and love that runs deep. Lucky isn’t just a name — it’s her promise of what’s ahead. 🍀🐾

She has the nickname of Cannoli. (The original owners called her that.) DOB 11/3/25; weight 50#. She is still going to grow a little more and she should put on some more weight to fill out. She is an extremely sweet dog. She is overall very calm yet she does get excited and happy and playful. We are working on leash training…she still pulls some but it’s just because she loves to explore and meet all the new dogs. She is chilled and pleasant and likes to play. She is house trained. Valerie is a great family dog…one that anyone could love. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You will receive the dog's folder with all the printouts proving the medical treatments received. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." Names: Taco, Kylo, Ky, KyKyAge: 8-10ishFavorite things: good scratches, being told he’s a good boyWalkies: He walks well on a leash, but also has excellent recall and is happy to walk by your side off leash as well.Go for a ride?: no problems in the carTaco is the sweetest good boy you’ve ever met. He was our grandparents dog and has lived the last 5+ years in eastern Washington on a farm and enjoyed all the table food he could possibly eat.As life has changed for them, we have taken Taco into our home temporarily. He gets along very well with other dogs and has no problems with our cat either. He’s gentle with kids, but we’d recommend that he goes to a home with older (5+) kids that understand not to climb on him. Taco might need a little encouragement in a new home with moving from room to room or finding his confidence. It took a like time for him to get used to our hard floors, and still isn’t always sure about some of our kid’s toys (trampoline, swing, etc).

Story
Hello, my name is Snow! I am approximately four years old and weigh 80 pounds. I am a beautiful girl. My people think I may be a Retriever mix. My mom looked like a Golden retriever but it’s anyone’s guess who my dad is. I’m a very loving girl. I’m very playful and get along well with other dogs. I have never been cat tested so my people are going to say no to a home with furry felines. I would do well with an active family. I would love to go on walks and be out and about. I ride well in the car and would love to try some hikes and be one with nature! I am house trained, but I have never been in a crate. It hasn’t been necessary where I am. I can be a little shy when I first meet new people, but I warm up pretty quickly. I am a smart girl and learn things quickly. I will be a great addition to any family and will bring them many years of happiness. I am healthy, spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Please email adopt@thezoeygroup.com for application instructions.

Story
Adopt Russ! This handsome Labrador Retriever mix is the kind of companion who fits seamlessly into your daily life. He would happily take on the role of your favorite office buddy, and even rides an elevator with impeccable manners.Russ is bright, engaged, and eager to learn. He already knows sit, stay, shake, and lay down, and he picks up new skills quickly, especially with a few treats involved. He thrives when he has small “jobs” or enrichment activities and genuinely enjoys being part of a family routine. He’s also crate trained and potty trained, making the transition into a new home that much smoother. Russ has a couple of good dog friends here at the shelter who he plays with. He’s also a true toy enthusiast. Whether it’s squeaky toys, tug, or a game of fetch, Russ shows up fully. He’s just as content entertaining himself with durable chews like Nylabones or yak chews. When the day winds down, he gathers his blankets into a cozy pile and settles in for a well earned nap.Russ would prefer to be the only dog in your life. He’s the kind of dog who makes every day a little brighter. With his expressive face, playful spirit, and ready for fun energy, he’s impossible not to love. Russ recently completed treatment for heartworm and is heartworm negative! Russ is ready for his next chapter.
