Lafonda is a beautiful female Great Dane, 4 years old. We moved from eastern Washington where we had a yard and property. Now I live in an apartment in western Washington. She is not good on a leash! She pulls really hard even with a harness and tries to go to other dogs. The other dogs are frightened and chaos ensues. Im afraid at this point she may hurt another dog because shes just too big and untrained. Im brokenhearted to have to give her up, but we cant safely walk here for fear of her hurting another dog. She is otherwise so kind and sweet. She has Great Dane quirkiness and anxiety, so she is a commitment. She also eats a lot of food, so new owners should be prepared. I’ve loved her company, she is a sweetheart and a comfort. I will miss her so much.

Welcome Reesaw to CCPAL Rescue. She is an 18-month-old Great Dane mix dog. She weighs in at 102 pounds. She is good with other dogs and came in with an older Great Dane named Planter. Reesaw does pull on leash but we will be working with that. She is moderately active and would be fine with a moderately active family. She is a good balance between active and couch potato. She is good with people and will bond deeply with her person. Great Danes are typically a little shy and they warm up and bond deeply to their family. She does fit this characteristic. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Someone who has owned an XL dog or a Great Dane would be preferable. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 180.
