Story
Meet handsome and happy Romondo! Romondo is a 3-year-old big beautiful boy. His DNA panel revealed he is an Alaskan Malamute/Great Dane/Great Pyrenees mix, along with a small amount of Siberian Husky and Australia Shepherd. What a fantastic mix! Romondo weighs about 110 pounds. Romondo loves his people, is affectionate, and loves lots of attention. Romondo is built for the outdoors and loves to be outside. He enjoys hikes and is not bothered by Washington weather. Romondo would love to live on fully fenced property where he could sniff and explore and run and hang out happily with his family. Romondo also loves to just sit quietly and watch over everything. He is not an escape artist—he doesn't climb, jump over, or dig under fencing. As much as he loves the outdoors, he loves his people too. Romondo will happily hang inside too and cuddle with you anytime. Romondo enjoys leash walks around the neighborhood. He is strong and a bit of a puller, but his foster parents have been working with him and he's doing very well. His leash walking is improving so much. Romondo can get excited when walking past people and dogs, but it's just his excitement and desire to meet. If his new home had another dog, it would be best for him to live with a female dog or be an only dog. Romondo is such a terrific dog and deserves every bit of love that we can give him. Prior to rescue by Lucky Paws, Romondo was stressed and frightened in the shelter. But in foster care he has blossomed and relaxed. Romondo is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Please help us find his forever family! For more information and an adoption application- please contact Terry at contact@luckypawsrescuewa.org.

Story
Mando is a Half Great Dane Half Mastiff. He is a big goof ball who loves to run and play but still thinks he is a lap dog. recently he has been a little aggressive towards other in tacked males but not all. he is good with kids he just doesn't know his own size. He also for the most part leaves cats alone he may bark at them, but he has never attacked them. He has a very friendly personality and love to run and play tug of war. He will also nonstop try and bite water coming out of a hose. Mando has open access to the back yard but has been kennel trained as well. Mando's ideal home would be a home with access to a yard he can run in. he has never had another dog at home but gets along with dogs at the park. He has basic training like sit, stay, laydown and wait. but could probably use a little more training. He is up to date on his shots.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  Scooby was owned by the family of one of our volunteers.  While they were dog sitting him, his family asked if they could find him a new home.  He's been loved and well cared for.  Now he needs someone that will love this sweet big guy for the rest of his life!  He is good with everyone and everything.  Due to his big size, kids should be older so his wagging tail doesn't pop younger kids is all.   Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 22, 2026, 12:05 pm

Story
Meet Maggie, A Wonder Woman Wearing a Catwoman Mask 🐶 Once a volunteer accidently dropped her leash and let her run away. Within minutes, Maggie returned on her own and gave the volunteer a big hug. She even brought a stick as a peace offering. It is amazing to see Maggie still has complete faith in humanity despite of surviving from Mass Dog Slaughterhouse. Maggie will love you whether you live in a little trailer or a big house. No matter what kind of mood you are in, Maggie can always make you smile. Can you be a special someone to give Maggie a home?

Story
Welcome Reesaw to CCPAL Rescue. She is an 18-month-old Great Dane mix dog. She weighs in at 102 pounds. She is good with other dogs and came in with an older Great Dane named Planter. Reesaw does pull on leash but we will be working with that. She is moderately active and would be fine with a moderately active family. She is a good balance between active and couch potato. She is good with people and will bond deeply with her person. Great Danes are typically a little shy and they warm up and bond deeply to their family. She does fit this characteristic. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Someone who has owned an XL dog or a Great Dane would be preferable. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Animal Profile: Joe is an 80-lb Dane mix who will be 7 in April. He was originally adopted in 2020, but this past fall we received a call from a local shelter after he was surrendered for euthanasia due to allergies. We immediately took him back into our rescue. After food allergy testing, a diet change, supplements, and a Cytopoint injection, Joe is doing great and his allergies are well managed. He’s feeling good and ready to find his forever home. Foster Update: Joe is a mellow, affectionate guy who’s happiest hanging out close to his person, whether that’s napping on the couch, lounging nearby, or cuddling during movie night. He has a very calm, easygoing presence in the house and fits right into a relaxed home environment. Joe may gravitate toward women at first, but he warms up to men easily and forms strong bonds once he feels secure. While he’s friendly with everyone, Joe definitely has a preferred human and thrives on that close connection. He gets along well with resident dogs and enjoys low-key play, especially chasing in the yard. Slow, thoughtful introductions to new dogs are important, but once settled, Joe coexists nicely and keeps things peaceful. Joe looks forward to his daily walks and knows the heel command. He can be nervous or alert when encountering other dogs, particularly in busy areas. With a handler who pays attention to his signals and proactively redirects, Joe remains calm (sometimes with a bit of vocalizing). Without that support, he may pull and bark. Because of this, Joe would do best in a quieter neighborhood or suburban/rural setting where there’s more space to pass other dogs comfortably. He knows sit and down, has good obedience skills, and is very food motivated which makes continued training rewarding and fun. Joe is crate trained, house trained, and has excellent indoor manners. At bedtime, Joe politely waits to be invited onto the bed… but once invited, he’s a certified bed hog. He does well with teens, loves to cuddle, and would be a wonderful match for someone looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a laid-back lifestyle and a big heart. Joe’s ideal home: • Calm, attentive humans • A less urban environment • Slow, respectful dog introductions • Someone who wants a true couch companion and devoted best friend Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $500 which includes spay/neuter, all core vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a federal 501c3 organization.  Apply online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application May 22, 2026, 7:52 pm

Story
Pandora is a beautiful, fun-loving sighthound with a million watt smile and a personality to match. A volunteer and staff favorite, Pandora is Pop-u-lar! When you meet her you too will be won over by her relaxed, friendly charm and humorous antics. Pandora is a long legged blonde with a mysterious past. All we know about her former life is she was rescued by our friends at Team Inch Sighthound Rescue from a South Korean dog shelter. Pandora’s gene pool is a true sighthound party mix, comprised of 77% Greyhound, 14% Irish Wolfhound, 5% Borzoi, 2% Polish Greyhound, and 2% other stuff. Pandora is about the same height of a larger greyhound but a bit fuzzier and very strong for her size. She absolutely loves all people and loves to play and frolic in our large grassy play yard (alone or with a human friend). When she isn’t playing with people, she is a confident, low-key, and independent girl who will happily amuse herself by tossing toys up to pounce on! After playtime she’s also glad just to chill by your side. We think Pandora will make a great housemate. The GPI kennel attendants give Pandora an “A+” at keeping her kennel tidy and she hasn’t shown to be much of a barker. Pandora is very bright, and is an eager pupil who likes to learn. As much as Pandora adores people, she cannot live with cats or other small animals. Nor is she really a fan of other dogs, particularly stranger dogs. While Pandora is cordial to the other dogs at GPI and can tolerate walks with sighthounds or other dogs to whom she has been properly introduced, she is reactive to dogs who are strangers. Pandora’s trainer has made huge strides in reducing/controlling her reactivity when she encounters strange dogs in the world outside of GPI. We think Pandora’s reactivity will continue to improve with her new family if they will commit to a regular desensitization practice. Pandora’s adoption includes four one-hour private training sessions with her professional trainer who will show her new family how to handle and lessen her dog reactivity. Her forever family can be quiet or busy, and possibly have older, dog-savvy kids. But because of her size and strength her family should have no young children. Pandora’s home needs to be with an experienced dog owner in a quiet area with a large, fenced yard in which to play and lounge. She is not suited for life where she will have chance encounters with strange dogs in close quarters. Thus, Pandora should not be in a densely populated situation like an apartment/condo/townhome, an urban area, or another closely packed area (e.g., farmers market, dog friendly pub, and pet store). That said, Pandora will be a great companion for hiking in lesser frequented areas, camping, and other unpopulated outdoor adventures. She loves walks and has nice leash manners when there are no stranger dogs nearby. Pandora is spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. For more information or to set up a meet and greet, contact Moira at fastpaws1998@gmail.com or call Greyhound Pets at 877-468-7681.
