Story
Meet Maggie, A Wonder Woman Wearing a Catwoman Mask 🐶 Once a volunteer accidently dropped her leash and let her run away. Within minutes, Maggie returned on her own and gave the volunteer a big hug. She even brought a stick as a peace offering. It is amazing to see Maggie still has complete faith in humanity despite of surviving from Mass Dog Slaughterhouse. Maggie will love you whether you live in a little trailer or a big house. No matter what kind of mood you are in, Maggie can always make you smile. Can you be a special someone to give Maggie a home?

Story
Cletus is ready to find his forever home! This affectionate pup is the ultimate snuggle bug and is always first to claim his spot on the couch for cuddles. His foster mom describes him as a velcro pup because he loves being close to his people! Cletus has never met a person he doesn’t love and after a minute of getting to know you, the butt wiggles start and he soaks up all the attention! His favorite activities include running around with his canine friends, laying in the sun, naps, and, of course, snuggling.  This boy is great with other dogs and hasn’t reacted to kitties when he’s seen them. He’s very smart and learns quickly, making training a breeze! He's already mastering basic cues and house manners, and he's fully crate trained and housebroken—a true good boy!  Traveling with Cletus is a joy; he's fantastic in the car and makes an excellent companion for adventures.  We estimate Cletus was born around August of 2023, so he’s still a pup, and a DNA test revealed he’s 53% Great Dane and 45% Lab. As of March, Cletus weighed in at 32 pounds, but he’s still catching up on growing after initially coming into rescue very underweight. He’s super tall with very long legs, so we expect him to grow up to be a pretty big boy! If you're an active family seeking a loving and fun-loving canine companion, Cletus could be the perfect fit! Cletus’s adoption fee is $550 and he is neutered, up to date with vaccinations, and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Cletus, please fill out an application from our website https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old. Story
Myrtle is ready to find her forever home! This sweet girl is a social butterfly who adores everyone she meets—big or small, furry or not, she welcomes them with open paws!  Myrtle is a curious explorer who enjoys shadowing her humans around the house, always eager to see what they're up to. She has a special fondness for the 9-year-old in the family, as she's known to suddenly break into a playful run, which never fails to delight Myrtle! One of Myrtle's favorite pastimes is lounging on the floor surrounded by her collection of toys so that whenever she moves her head she has a new option to play with – such a funny girl!  Myrtle gets along fabulously with her canine foster brother, enjoying playtime and taking cues from him like a champ. She would do great in a home with another dog, or would also be fine as a solo pup with regular playdates. Myrtle is making excellent progress with her training and is learning house manners, basic cues, and doing well with house and crate training. With her eager-to-please attitude and love for companionship, Myrtle is sure to be a delightful addition to a loving home! We estimate Myrtle was born around August of 2023, so she’s still a pup, and a DNA test on her brother (Cletus) showed she’s a Great Dane/Lab mix. As of March, Myrtle weighed in at 31 pounds, but she’s still catching up on growing after initially coming into rescue very underweight. She’s super tall with very long legs, so we expect her to grow up to be a good size girl! If you're looking for a sweet, social, and playful companion, Myrtle could be the one for you!  Myrtle’s adoption fee is $550 and she is spayed, up to date with vaccinations, and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Myrtle, please fill out an application from our website https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application. Story
Welcome Reesaw to CCPAL Rescue. She is an 18-month-old Great Dane mix dog. She weighs in at 102 pounds. She is good with other dogs and came in with an older Great Dane named Planter. Reesaw does pull on leash but we will be working with that. She is moderately active and would be fine with a moderately active family. She is a good balance between active and couch potato. She is good with people and will bond deeply with her person. Great Danes are typically a little shy and they warm up and bond deeply to their family. She does fit this characteristic. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Someone who has owned an XL dog or a Great Dane would be preferable. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Clare to CCPAL Rescue Foster Program. Clare is a 12 week old Great Dane/Lab mixed puppy. She is already 20 pounds and should be 70 pounds full grown is our best guess. She is crate trained, goes potty outside on a schedule. She is learning to use a wee pad. She is good in a car and good on a leash. She is good with all people and a very social puppy. She is around other dogs and does great. She will have some nice skills and work since she is in foster care and will stay there until she finds her new forever home. She was found as a stray on the streets of San Antonio. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is a puppy and likes to put things in her mouth. We call that mouthy. We would love someone that loves the Great Dane breeds. She would love to tag along on all your outdoor adventures. Anyone that knows the Danes know they can be energetic and they can relax. She is also a good combo of both. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
