Story
Please see the link below for additional photos https://1drv.ms/f/s!Av2Rbz4rOLwQgotuBmI_ldcECpujmw?e=lze346 We are in search of a home for our 2 beloved dogs. Our family has made the difficult decision to rehome our dogs. We are not looking to collect funds for them. We are looking to find them the home they need together. They are both very protective of their family and are extremely bored in our new home. Our old home had a large, fenced yard for them to run and bark. We also have 3 young children and cannot give the dogs the time and attention they need and deserve. Monty (tan with black spots) is about 4 years old and 120 lbs. About 2 weeks ago, he was on a walk and and lunged at another dog. The owner placed his hand in front of the other dog and was bitten. Monty can be very sweet with his owners, but also too protective. Birdie (black with white chest) is a BIG (150 lbs) loveable puppy If interested, complete this form https://forms.gle/G3823x232zj2wUeYA

Story
Myrtle is ready to find her forever home! This sweet girl is a social butterfly who adores everyone she meets—big or small, furry or not, she welcomes them with open paws!  Myrtle is a curious explorer who enjoys shadowing her humans around the house, always eager to see what they're up to. She has a special fondness for the 9-year-old in the family, as she's known to suddenly break into a playful run, which never fails to delight Myrtle! One of Myrtle's favorite pastimes is lounging on the floor surrounded by her collection of toys so that whenever she moves her head she has a new option to play with – such a funny girl! She'll also entertain herself by throwing toys around for herself! Myrtle gets along fabulously with her canine foster brother, enjoying playtime and taking cues from him like a champ. She would do great in a home with another dog, or would also be fine as a solo pup with regular playdates. She is also good with kitties! Myrtle is making excellent progress with her training and is learning house manners, basic cues, and is crate trained and house trained. She loves car rides and going on walks, and with her eager-to-please attitude and love for companionship, Myrtle is sure to be a delightful addition to a loving home! We estimate Myrtle was born around August of 2023, so she’s still a pup, and a DNA test on her brother (Cletus) showed she’s a Great Dane/Lab mix. She’s super tall with very long legs, so we expect her to grow up to be a good size girl! If you're looking for a sweet, social, and playful companion, Myrtle could be the one for you!  Myrtle’s adoption fee is $550 and she is spayed, up to date with vaccinations, and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Myrtle, please fill out an application from our website https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old. See more photos of Myrtle (and her brother Cletus) on their Facebook album! https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.823200423182980&type=3 ##1982923##

Story
Meet Maggie, A Wonder Woman Wearing a Catwoman Mask 🐶 Once a volunteer accidently dropped her leash and let her run away. Within minutes, Maggie returned on her own and gave the volunteer a big hug. She even brought a stick as a peace offering. It is amazing to see Maggie still has complete faith in humanity despite of surviving from Mass Dog Slaughterhouse. Maggie will love you whether you live in a little trailer or a big house. No matter what kind of mood you are in, Maggie can always make you smile. Can you be a special someone to give Maggie a home?

Story
Aurora is absolutely darling!!! She is very affectionate and friendly! Aurora LOVES belly rubs and loves to be outside and sunbathe! She has been in a foster home since the beginning of May and is doing wonderfully. She lives with another greyhound and a smaller dog and does really well with both. Her foster mom says she loves to cuddle and if you sit on the floor with her, she will rest her head on you somehow. Aurora loves balls, not to fetch but to squeak! She has the cutest stretch, and yawns and makes a funny sound when she does. She is so sweet and wants to please. Her foster mom has taught her to sit and is work on "paw". Aurora is eager to please and loves playing with toys. She walks well on leash (most of the time - on occasion she can be quite strong) and loves her walks. Aurora does have a high prey drive when she sees something move outside, so she needs someone who can continue her training (she works well with redirection). There are two other dogs in her foster home and they like to play fight - Aurora doesn't get involved when they do, but if she does she likes to slap with her paws and since she is so strong she could hurt a small dog, but if you tell her to stop, she does! She has done well on her house-training too. She also eats well and is not protective of her food. Aurora is really good in the car and mostly sleeps. Her foster mom thinks she will do well with other dogs and/or children as she has poked and prodded and done all the things a greyhound often doesn't like and Aurora has not reacted at all! What a sweetie! Aurora may be ok as an only dog, but she does not like to be crated. Aurora will need a home without cats and with someone who can manage her strength. This is one special girl - such a cuddle bug - someone is missing out on this sweetheart! For questions and to meet super cutie Aurora, please email Moira at fastpaws1998@gmail.com.

Story
Welcome Reesaw to CCPAL Rescue. She is an 18-month-old Great Dane mix dog. She weighs in at 102 pounds. She is good with other dogs and came in with an older Great Dane named Planter. Reesaw does pull on leash but we will be working with that. She is moderately active and would be fine with a moderately active family. She is a good balance between active and couch potato. She is good with people and will bond deeply with her person. Great Danes are typically a little shy and they warm up and bond deeply to their family. She does fit this characteristic. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Someone who has owned an XL dog or a Great Dane would be preferable. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
