Story
Animal Profile: Joe is an 80-lb Dane mix who will be 7 in April. He was originally adopted in 2020, but this past fall we received a call from a local shelter after he was surrendered for euthanasia due to allergies. We immediately took him back into our rescue. After food allergy testing, a diet change, supplements, and a Cytopoint injection, Joe is doing great and his allergies are well managed. He’s feeling good and ready to find his forever home. Foster Update: Joe is a mellow, affectionate guy who’s happiest hanging out close to his person, whether that’s napping on the couch, lounging nearby, or cuddling during movie night. He has a very calm, easygoing presence in the house and fits right into a relaxed home environment. Joe may gravitate toward women at first, but he warms up to men easily and forms strong bonds once he feels secure. While he’s friendly with everyone, Joe definitely has a preferred human and thrives on that close connection. He gets along well with resident dogs and enjoys low-key play, especially chasing in the yard. Slow, thoughtful introductions to new dogs are important, but once settled, Joe coexists nicely and keeps things peaceful. Joe looks forward to his daily walks and knows the heel command. He can be nervous or alert when encountering other dogs, particularly in busy areas. With a handler who pays attention to his signals and proactively redirects, Joe remains calm (sometimes with a bit of vocalizing). Without that support, he may pull and bark. Because of this, Joe would do best in a quieter neighborhood or suburban/rural setting where there’s more space to pass other dogs comfortably. He knows sit and down, has good obedience skills, and is very food motivated which makes continued training rewarding and fun. Joe is crate trained, house trained, and has excellent indoor manners. At bedtime, Joe politely waits to be invited onto the bed… but once invited, he’s a certified bed hog. He does well with teens, loves to cuddle, and would be a wonderful match for someone looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a laid-back lifestyle and a big heart. Joe’s ideal home: • Calm, attentive humans • A less urban environment • Slow, respectful dog introductions • Someone who wants a true couch companion and devoted best friend Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $500 which includes spay/neuter, all core vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a federal 501c3 organization.  Apply online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application May 27, 2026, 4:17 pm

Story
Breaker is up for adoption in TX, NE and PNW (excluding MA)! Meet Breaker – Your Adventure Buddy in the Making! Breaker is a handsome Great Dane mix a little over a year old who is ready to find an active, committed family to call his own. At around 65 pounds, he’s a wonderful blend of big-dog presence and goofy puppy charm. Breaker is currently being fostered in Seguin, TX, but he can be transported to the Pacific Northwest and the Northeast United States for the right home. Breaker thrives on activity and he still has that classic puppy energy, so he’s looking for a family that understands the importance of positive correction, consistency, and continued training to help him grow into the best version of himself. With the right guidance, Breaker is eager to learn and please. One of Breaker’s favorite things in the world is going on adventures. He absolutely loves riding in the car and would be thrilled to tag along for hikes, outings, road trips, or any fun day spent exploring with his people. Water is another big favorite—splashing, wading, and cooling off are right up his alley. When playtime rolls around, Breaker is all in. He loves toys of all kinds and enjoys playing with dogs his own size. Most of all, Breaker wants to be with his people. He would happily spend the entire day with his family, whether that means being on the go or just hanging out together. If you’re an active household looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion to share life’s adventures, Breaker may be the perfect match for you. Story
Meet Boone – A Gentle Soul Ready for a Fresh Start Boone is a striking Great Dane and Black Mouth Cur mix at 65 pounds with soulful eyes and a quiet, thoughtful demeanor. Rescued after being abandoned on the roadside, Boone's past suggests he was used as a hunting dog and likely spent much of his life confined to a kennel. This history has left him shy and cautious at first, but with time, patience, and kindness, Boone reveals his deeply affectionate side. Once he begins to trust, Boone becomes a devoted companion who craves gentle affection and enjoys peaceful moments with his person. He thrives in a calm environment and takes comfort in the presence of other dogs—he gets along wonderfully with canine companions and would benefit from a home with another friendly dog to help boost his confidence. Currently being fostered in Seguin, TX, Boone is looking for a foster or forever home in Central Texas only. He needs a loving, understanding family who can help him continue to blossom at his own pace. His ideal adopter would be someone familiar with hounds or someone who appreciates the gentle, loyal nature of these incredible breeds. If you're a hound enthusiast or simply someone with a kind heart and a quiet home, Boone may be the perfect match for you. He’s not just looking for a home—he’s looking for someone who sees his potential and will offer the love and patience he’s never known before. Boone is ready to start again. Are you the one to help him heal? To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. Story
Welcome Reesaw to CCPAL Rescue. She is an 18-month-old Great Dane mix dog. She weighs in at 102 pounds. She is good with other dogs and came in with an older Great Dane named Planter. Reesaw does pull on leash but we will be working with that. She is moderately active and would be fine with a moderately active family. She is a good balance between active and couch potato. She is good with people and will bond deeply with her person. Great Danes are typically a little shy and they warm up and bond deeply to their family. She does fit this characteristic. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Someone who has owned an XL dog or a Great Dane would be preferable. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Meet Misty! She's a smart lady who is smart as a whip! She's crate trained, mastered many commands (sit, down, off, mat, enough, go to your room, here, all done- more than most kids :). She loves to run, play fetch and be wherever you are! She's a year and a half old, and was lucky enough to have professional training donated to help her find her forever home. Whoever adopts her will receive at least one free hand off session from her trainer to help her transition go perfectly! Her ideal family would be somewhat active (she needs to run around a yard at least a few times per day). She gets along well with other dogs, but calmer dogs are best. Misty loves to play, but she can get very excited if the other dog is too energetic! She would do well with older children. Younger children and cats would require a lot of supervision. Her trainer thinks she would be a great agility dog, but she is smart enough to do anything you want to train her to do! She will require some active parenting to teach her the rules of your house, because she is so smart, she may try to make her own activities if nothing fun is provided! She's potty trained now (we had some overnight accidents until she started going in her crate at night). She's a great dog with a good head on her shoulders, and she wants to know if you are the one for her! $200 In State Adoption Fee (in Texas) $400 Out of State Fee (includes Transportation to your area) $50 Temporary fuel surcharge.

Story
Benny is a joyful, playful pup full of energy and always ready for his next adventure! He loves squeaky toys and will happily bounce around the yard or play a game of fetch to burn off some of that fun-loving energy. He’s great with kids and other dogs, making him a wonderful addition to a family. Benny is already house trained and crate trained—such a smart boy! He’s currently working on his basic commands and will need a family committed to continuing his training and helping him polish his manners. With his long legs like a Great Dane and a sleek Lab-like coat, Benny is as handsome as he is athletic. He would thrive in an active home where he can get plenty of exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation. After a day of fun, Benny is more than happy to hang out with his people and soak up all the love. If you’re looking for a happy, energetic, and affectionate companion, Benny just might be your perfect match! Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Queenie is a ~6 year old, 110lb, Boerboel. She came to us with Ozzie, the male Cane Corso, and ideally we would like to adopt them out together as a bonded pair! If they are adopted separately, they will need another large calm dog of the opposite sex in the home. Queenie was an owner surrender and is such a loving girl who desperately wants to be in a home again. The kennel environment has been stressful for her and she would be so grateful to be in a home asap. She bonds deeply to her people and her dog companion and is affectionate and sweet. Queenie has been a little more stressed in the kennel environment than Ozzie and could really benefit from a calm and loving home to help her decompress. She does well on walks but is very strong, and has a prey drive, so will require adopters that can handle her size and strength. We are looking for adopters experienced with large breeds. We are continuing to socialize and evaluate Queenie’s dog socialization, but she is not good with small dogs or cats. If adopted separately from Ozzie, she will need another large calm male in the home, no small dogs. Apply if you are experienced and looking are looking for a giant lovable girl, or duo! Queenie is a wonderful girl and will make her forever family very happy! Queenie is spayed, UTD on shots and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $500.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Meet Orion! He is ~7-8 year-old Bullmastiff/Boerboel mix who weighs 120lbs. He came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA and has been waiting for his forever home with us for 3 years! His perfect home would have a chill, steady, and peaceful environment. Orion walks well on a leash but can be strong and will need a family with good dog-handling skills. He is crate trained and finds comfort in a regular routine. Breed experience is required for his adopter. This big guy is looking for a quieter forever home outside of city-life. He will need a single-family detached home in a suburban or rural neighborhood. He would LOVE a large, securely fenced yard as well to roam and be with his people. In the summertime he would enjoy laying around in the sun! He can be dog selective and has shown to be friendly with submissive females but would do best as an only dog soaking up all the attention! Orion is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400.
