Story
Breaker is up for adoption in TX, NE and PNW (excluding MA)! Meet Breaker – Your Adventure Buddy in the Making! Breaker is a handsome Great Dane mix a little over a year old who is ready to find an active, committed family to call his own. At around 65 pounds, he’s a wonderful blend of big-dog presence and goofy puppy charm. Breaker is currently being fostered in Seguin, TX, but he can be transported to the Pacific Northwest and the Northeast United States for the right home. Breaker thrives on activity and would do best as the only dog in the household, where he can soak up all the attention and structure he craves. He still has that classic puppy energy, so he’s looking for a family that understands the importance of positive correction, consistency, and continued training to help him grow into the best version of himself. With the right guidance, Breaker is eager to learn and please. One of Breaker’s favorite things in the world is going on adventures. He absolutely loves riding in the car and would be thrilled to tag along for hikes, outings, road trips, or any fun day spent exploring with his people. Water is another big favorite—splashing, wading, and cooling off are right up his alley. When playtime rolls around, Breaker is all in. He loves toys of all kinds and enjoys playing with dogs his own size. Most of all, Breaker wants to be with his people. He would happily spend the entire day with his family, whether that means being on the go or just hanging out together. If you’re an active household looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion to share life’s adventures, Breaker may be the perfect match for you. Meet Boone – A Gentle Soul Ready for a Fresh Start Boone is a striking Great Dane and Black Mouth Cur mix at 65 pounds with soulful eyes and a quiet, thoughtful demeanor. Rescued after being abandoned on the roadside, Boone's past suggests he was used as a hunting dog and likely spent much of his life confined to a kennel. This history has left him shy and cautious at first, but with time, patience, and kindness, Boone reveals his deeply affectionate side. Once he begins to trust, Boone becomes a devoted companion who craves gentle affection and enjoys peaceful moments with his person. He thrives in a calm environment and takes comfort in the presence of other dogs—he gets along wonderfully with canine companions and would benefit from a home with another friendly dog to help boost his confidence. Currently being fostered in Seguin, TX, Boone is looking for a foster or forever home in Central Texas only. He needs a loving, understanding family who can help him continue to blossom at his own pace. His ideal adopter would be someone familiar with hounds or someone who appreciates the gentle, loyal nature of these incredible breeds. If you're a hound enthusiast or simply someone with a kind heart and a quiet home, Boone may be the perfect match for you. He’s not just looking for a home—he’s looking for someone who sees his potential and will offer the love and patience he’s never known before. Boone is ready to start again. Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Briscoe! Briscoe is a 2.5-year-old, 70 lb Great Dane who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. From the moment she arrived, it was clear she is one of the happiest dogs you’ll ever meet! When Briscoe first came into our care, she was very underweight, but with proper nutrition and care she’s been steadily gaining weight and building strength—and she’s doing great! She’s a stunning harlequin Great Dane with beautiful gray, black, and white markings, big floppy ears, and one blue eye paired with one golden-brown eye that makes her truly unforgettable. Briscoe is goofy, playful, bouncy, and full of life! She has a good amount of spunky energy and is a strong girl, so she’ll need an adopter who is comfortable handling a large, powerful dog and committed to daily walks, continued muscle building, and ongoing socialization. She is crate trained and has been doing great as our lobby dog! Briscoe has done great with every dog she’s met—both big and small—and could thrive as an only dog or with a canine companion, as long as she continues to be well socialized. Briscoe is a happy, loving, larger-than-life pup who’s ready for a home that appreciates big dogs, big personalities, and plenty of fun. If you’re looking for a happy, goofy Great Dane to share your life with, Briscoe might be your girl! She is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. She has not been tested with cats or children. Her adoption fee is $450.

Story
Animal Profile: Joe is an 80-lb Dane mix who will be 7 in April. He was originally adopted in 2020, but this past fall we received a call from a local shelter after he was surrendered for euthanasia due to allergies. We immediately took him back into our rescue. After food allergy testing, a diet change, supplements, and a Cytopoint injection, Joe is doing great and his allergies are well managed. He’s feeling good and ready to find his forever home. Foster Update: Joe is a mellow, affectionate guy who’s happiest hanging out close to his person, whether that’s napping on the couch, lounging nearby, or cuddling during movie night. He has a very calm, easygoing presence in the house and fits right into a relaxed home environment. Joe may gravitate toward women at first, but he warms up to men easily and forms strong bonds once he feels secure. While he’s friendly with everyone, Joe definitely has a preferred human and thrives on that close connection. He gets along well with resident dogs and enjoys low-key play, especially chasing in the yard. Slow, thoughtful introductions to new dogs are important, but once settled, Joe coexists nicely and keeps things peaceful. Joe looks forward to his daily walks and knows the heel command. He can be nervous or alert when encountering other dogs, particularly in busy areas. With a handler who pays attention to his signals and proactively redirects, Joe remains calm (sometimes with a bit of vocalizing). Without that support, he may pull and bark. Because of this, Joe would do best in a quieter neighborhood or suburban/rural setting where there’s more space to pass other dogs comfortably. He knows sit and down, has good obedience skills, and is very food motivated which makes continued training rewarding and fun. Joe is crate trained, house trained, and has excellent indoor manners. At bedtime, Joe politely waits to be invited onto the bed… but once invited, he’s a certified bed hog. He does well with teens, loves to cuddle, and would be a wonderful match for someone looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a laid-back lifestyle and a big heart. Joe’s ideal home: • Calm, attentive humans • A less urban environment • Slow, respectful dog introductions • Someone who wants a true couch companion and devoted best friend Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $500 which includes spay/neuter, all core vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a federal 501c3 organization.  Apply online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application March 7, 2026, 12:47 pm

Story
Meet the "Gentle Giant" Doodles! Are you looking for a best friend who is equal parts majestic and mischievous? Our litter of "Danedoodles" (Great Dane x Some Poodle & couple other breeds) are officially ready to find their forever familes! These pups have hit the genetic jackpot: they’ve inherited the calm, "velcro-dog" heart of the Great Dane and the clever, playful wit of the Poodle. Despite their growing size, these pups firmly believe they are lap dogs. If there’s a spot next to you, they’ll find it. Thanks to their Poodle roots, they are quick learners! They’re already working on their "sit" and "stay," though they might try to negotiate for an extra treat. Most of the litter sports those soft, wavy coats that mean less time vacuuming and more time playing. Goofy Personalities-From "zoomies" to tilting their heads at every word you say, their curiosity is endless and their wagging tails are lethal weapons of joy. Temperament - Patient, goofy, and incredibly affectionate Energy Level - Playful bursts followed by epic 3-hour naps   Future Size – Based on their DNA (50% Great Dane), these pups are likely to grow big enough to reach the counter—so you might want to hide the cookies! That said, some may take after Mom, a medium-to-large Poodle mix weighing around 60 lbs, meaning you may only need to keep an eye on your end tables instead.  If you're looking for smart, loving and velcro puppies, then adopt one of us! Local adoption fee is $250(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Koda – 2.5-Year-Old Anatolian Mix | Calm, Gentle Soul Looking for a Quiet Home Koda is a 2½-year-old Anatolian mix weighing in at a perfect 50 pounds, and he is the definition of calm and steady. Whether indoors or outside, Koda carries himself with a peaceful, easygoing demeanor that makes him a wonderful companion for someone looking for a relaxed, low-key dog. On leash, Koda truly shines. He walks beautifully and naturally matches your pace, making daily strolls a pleasure rather than a chore. He is fully potty trained and understands the rhythm of home life, settling in comfortably and contentedly once he knows he’s safe. Koda is a true snuggler at heart. He loves being close to his people and enjoys quiet moments spent cuddling or resting nearby. Because of his gentle nature, Koda would do best in a calm household with no small children, where he can enjoy a predictable, peaceful environment and plenty of one-on-one companionship. Cats? No worries! Koda has lived in a home with cats and gets caught on video playing with their toys! When it comes to travel, Koda does get carsick on longer trips, but this is easily managed with Dramamine when needed. For everyday life and local outings, he does just fine and is happy simply being with his person. Koda is currently being fostered in a home in Seguin, Texas, where his calm personality and loving nature continue to shine. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion who enjoys quiet walks, cozy snuggles, and a serene home, Koda may be the perfect match for you.
