Story
Animal Profile: Lizzy is an estimated 5 month old 40 lb female XL mixed breed possibly Dane with bully breed. She was picked up as a stray in Texas and surrendered to our rescue partner Saving Shelter Strays. She takes direction wall, is not reactive to other dogs (enjoys their company) and is pretty calm for a giant puppy who lives in a shelter. She does best with calm children and is really smushy and sweet. More info to come as we get to know her in foster care.  Foster Update:   Meet Lizzy, a 7-month-old Great Dane cross with a heart as big as her paws. As a foster puppy, Lizzy has proven herself to be a wonderful guard dog, always alert to strangers and protective of her people. Despite her natural wariness in new situations, Lizzy's confidence blooms with a little time and patience. Playful and full of energy, Lizzy loves nothing more than a good game of fetch or tug-of-war. She walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys exploring the world around her. However, loud noises can make her a bit uneasy, and she prefers quieter environments. Lizzy has a tender side too; she thinks she's a lap dog and adores snuggling and cuddling with her humans. Her affectionate nature shines through in every wag of her tail and every nuzzle she gives. Lizzy is ready to bring joy, love, and a touch of protection to her forever home. Due her potential size and vocal tendencies we are not considering apartments at this time. If cats are present in the home, they must be dog savy as she has exhibited some prey drive instincts towards small animals outside. She will need a home with a securely fenced yard and large breed experienced family that will continue her training to help her with her confidence building. Older calm children will be considered, a resident dog that can show her the way would be a plus but not neccessary. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was picked up as a stray in Texas and rescued by our partner saving Shelter Strays. She was transferred via God's Dogs arriving to Seattle area foster care on 05/10/24. She will be available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.June 20, 2024, 12:06 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Scooby is an estimated 8-month-old 52 lb neutered male Dane mix who was taken in as a stray to the very crowded San Bernadino city shelter, adopted and returned a month or so later because the resident chihuahua was not accepting of the big new puppy.  Foster Update:  Scooby was listed as a Dane but we certainly see some Sharpei in him. He's not going to be a giant dog, perhaps around 70 lbs full grown. He is very playful and even tempered and has adjusted well to the pack in his foster home. He enjoys spooning with the actual giant sized Dane in a donut bed. He likes play wrestling with other dogs and is adjusting well. More info as we get to know him.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Story
Hello, my name is Kyra! I’m an 8 year old Great Dane weighing about 100 pounds. I know I’m a little older, but don’t let that fool you, I’m full of energy, healthy, and love to go on walks. I’m very friendly with everyone, cats, kids, dogs, and even a pig! I know sit, speak, shake, and stay. I walk great on a leash. I am fully potty trained and will tell you when I need to go. I prefer to have my own space when I eat, and I don't like sharing my kennel as it's my safe space. Overall I'm the best girl though and I’d love a home and family to spend the rest of my golden years with.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.June 20, 2024, 5:24 am

Story
Molly was found as a stray in San Antonio. She is now in a Seattle area foster home with a mom, dad, 2 teens and a senior dog. ***she is able to catch a ride up north if her forever home is found in Canada:) Molly looks like a baby giraffe! She's tall and lean. We think she is part great dane with maybe some lab and pitbull mixed in:) She LOVES people, including kids. She seems to be afraid of dogs at first, especially obnoxious ones. She's slow to warm to large dogs, however, she's becoming more confident every day in foster care. She loves the small dog in her foster home although he's not impressed with her. She takes it all in stride and will seek him out to cuddle. She does great meeting people out and about and enjoys going on errands. Her foster mom has taken her to training and she has great obedience. She's great at place! Molly is motivated by food and even likes broccoli and cauliflower...check out her YouTube link for proof!! Molly is about 18 months old, is potty trained and crate trained. She walks well on leash and loves to hang out with her people. Her adoption fee is $550 and includes her transport, vaccinations, spay and microchip. 100% of the fee goes to her care. Please contact Karin at karinkeith@hotmail.com for more information.

Story
Meet MARK IKEGAMI Mark is a sweet guy, who loves to run and play. He's very treat and affection motivated and wants nothing more than to please his people who help make him feel secure. He can make friends quickly with people but he can be a tad timid in new situations so it's important to give him a few minutes- then he will (literally) be eating right from your hand. Mark is very dog-social and great with dogs of all ages and sizes and has lots of friends. He is equally as happy after he's done playing, to lie next to you and be the good boy that he is! Mark has mastered basic training with us and knows how to walk well on a leash, sit, down and is ready to learn more with your guidance! He enjoys walks and he is crate trained and housebroken, which would both be beneficial for him to continue in his new home, especially to help him settle in and relax. We feel his best home would be one with a person experienced with building confidence in large dogs who has a confident mentor dog for Mark to look up to and learn from. Due to Mark's shy nature, we believe he would do best in a family with older children. He does truly enjoy being with other dogs and it'd be great for him to have that going forward. NAME: Mark Ikegami LITTER: He is part of our "Real Genius" litter. AGE/GENDER: Young (born 9/9/2022), male BREED: Based on the DNA, Mark is a Great Dane, shepherd, lab, husky mix TEMPERAMENT: Playful and mischievous CATS: Good! Continued socialization will be important! CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children, 12 and older ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00 HEALTH: Mark is healthy! He is neutered, microchipped, flea treated, and dewormed. Each dog also receives a "Tour Gear Bag" full of brochures, coupons, and supplies for your new pup! Please visit our website www.motleyzoorescue.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
Welcome Reesaw to CCPAL Rescue. She is an 18-month-old Great Dane mix dog. She weighs in at 102 pounds. She is good with other dogs and came in with an older Great Dane named Planter. Reesaw does pull on leash but we will be working with that. She is moderately active and would be fine with a moderately active family. She is a good balance between active and couch potato. She is good with people and will bond deeply with her person. Great Danes are typically a little shy and they warm up and bond deeply to their family. She does fit this characteristic. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Someone who has owned an XL dog or a Great Dane would be preferable. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
