Story
Hello, my name is Kyra! I’m an 8 year old Great Dane weighing about 100 pounds. I know I’m a little older, but don’t let that fool you, I’m full of energy, healthy, and love to go on walks. I’m very friendly with everyone, cats, kids, dogs, and even a pig! I know sit, speak, shake, and stay. I walk great on a leash. I am fully potty trained and will tell you when I need to go. I prefer to have my own space when I eat, and I don't like sharing my kennel as it's my safe space. Overall I'm the best girl though and I’d love a home and family to spend the rest of my golden years with.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.May 27, 2024, 9:06 pm

Story
Molly was found as a stray in San Antonio. She is now in a Seattle area foster home with a mom, dad, 2 teens and a senior dog. ***she is able to catch a ride up north if her forever home is found in Canada:) Molly looks like a baby giraffe! She's tall and lean. We think she is part great dane with maybe some lab and pitbull mixed in:) She LOVES people, including kids. She seems to be afraid of dogs at first, especially obnoxious ones. She's slow to warm to large dogs, however, she's becoming more confident every day in foster care. She loves the small dog in her foster home although he's not impressed with her. She takes it all in stride and will seek him out to cuddle. She does great meeting people out and about and enjoys going on errands. Her foster mom has taken her to training and she has great obedience. She's great at place! Molly is motivated by food and even likes broccoli and cauliflower...check out her YouTube link for proof!! Molly is about 18 months old, is potty trained and crate trained. She walks well on leash and loves to hang out with her people. Her adoption fee is $550 and includes her transport, vaccinations, spay and microchip. 100% of the fee goes to her care. Please contact Karin at karinkeith@hotmail.com for more information.

Story
Animal Profile: Lizzy is an estimated 5 month old 40 lb female XL mixed breed possibly Dane with bully breed. She was picked up as a stray in Texas and surrendered to our rescue partner Saving Shelter Strays. She takes direction wall, is not reactive to other dogs (enjoys their company) and is pretty calm for a giant puppy who lives in a shelter. She does best with calm children and is really smushy and sweet. More info to come as we get to know her in foster care.  Foster Update:  Meet Lizzy, a 6-month-old (approx) female Great Dane cross puppy who has the shiniest coat ever. This little lady might be a bit shy at first, but give her some time and she'll reveal her incredibly sweet and loving nature once she is comfortable. Once she settles in she absolutely adores cuddles and will happily snuggle up with you whenever she gets the chance. Lizzy is an incredibly smart dog who learns fast and is food motivated. Lizzy is house trained and is learning new commands daily. She knows sit, down, come, and stay. We are currently working on shake, high 5, boop/touch, place, turn and between. She walks well on leash.  She’s full of energy and loves to play, showing off her impressive agility with every leap and bound. She loves to play ball and run around the garden. Lizzy takes her role as a guardian very seriously, she has a big bark for a little lady and will alert you of anyone walking by or coming to your door. While she might be cautious around new people initially, her loyalty and affection shine through once she feels safe. Lizzy is looking for a forever home where she can share her cuddles, playfulness, and protective spirit.  Due her potential size and vocal tendencies we are not considering apartments at this time. If cats are present in the home, they must be dog savy as she has exhibited some prey drive instincts towards small animals outside. She will need a home with a securely fenced yard and large breed experienced family that will continue her training to help her with her confidence building. Older calm children will be considered, a resident dog that can show her the way would be a plus but not neccessary. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was picked up as a stray in Texas and rescued by our partner saving Shelter Strays. She was transferred via God's Dogs arriving to Seattle area foster care on 05/10/24. She will be available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.May 27, 2024, 6:54 pm

Dexter is an all-around good boy who is just a bit nervous around new people, but he's very curious and will warm up to you in no time! He would do best in a home with a high fence and another confident 'sibling' to help show him the beauty of family life! Dexter is crate trained but still working on his house training. He's still a baby yet even tho he comes in at around 50lbs but he is super smart and catching on quickly! If you're ready for a playful, sweet, and loyal companion, Dexter could be your boy!

Story
HISTORY: Meet Oreo! He is a sweet 3 year old brown brindle Mastiff / Great Dane / German Shepherd mix. He was an owner surrender when Red Waggin' pulled him from Stanislaus Shelter in Modesto, CA in early March 2023. He was fast tracked to euthanasia (less than 5 days) due in part, to shelter overcrowding. Since being rescued, he has become the most loving, sweet and goofy dog you ever want to meet. He enjoys going on walks and hanging out with his pack and foster family. He likes to go outside and play, but he also enjoys chilling out with a toy on his bed. He is a sweet and gorgeous love bug, who simply wants love back. In addition, he is house and leash trained. Story
Welcome Reesaw to CCPAL Rescue. She is an 18-month-old Great Dane mix dog. She weighs in at 102 pounds. She is good with other dogs and came in with an older Great Dane named Planter. Reesaw does pull on leash but we will be working with that. She is moderately active and would be fine with a moderately active family. She is a good balance between active and couch potato. She is good with people and will bond deeply with her person. Great Danes are typically a little shy and they warm up and bond deeply to their family. She does fit this characteristic. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Someone who has owned an XL dog or a Great Dane would be preferable. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See her cute video
