Current Location: Cockeysville, MD Hello! My name is Thomas! I've just arrived at OPH. Please check back soon for updates on my personality, and to see adorable new photos. I'm searching for... * someone who won't leave me home alone for more than 4 hrs, at least not until I am older. The older I am the more I can stay home alone. I just don't want you to get mad at me if I have accidents or chew things I'm not supposed to when you leave me for too long. I'm a puppy, so I get bored quick and when I'm bored I could get in trouble. * I am looking for my forever home, not my for right now home. So as I get bigger I need someone to teach me how to be the best dog I can be. I am young and still learning. You may want to teach me some new tricks like sit, stay, etc. Professional training will help me bond with you. That sounds like fun! * I saved the most important for last. I am hoping my new mom or dad will snuggle with me, play with me and love me forever and ever! I'm making my way north in search of my new family. Is that with you? If so apply today because this cuteness won’t be around for long!

To learn more about Franny, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org Franny will be at one of our adoption events this weekend! Visit our event page (https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/) to see which one—event listings are usually updated on Fridays with attending dogs. Franny needs one more vaccination before she is adoption-ready. We expect that to happen Friday, 1-23-26, so she will be ready to meet you at one of our adoption events over the weekend. Franny is a picture-perfect bundle of fluff with bright, curious eyes and a soft cream coat that makes her look like she stepped straight out of a cozy storybook. As part of the Fluffy Puppies litter, Franny came from a tough beginning in rural Southwestern Virginia, but she’s ready to leave those early challenges behind and embrace the warm, happy life every puppy deserves. Story
Current Location: Frederick, MD Meet Blackberry: A Loveable Companion Who Just Wants to Be Part of the Pack This curious, silly, utterly loveable boy has one simple wish: to be where his people are. Blackberry is the kind of puppy who will steal your heart with his affectionate nature and his deep desire to be included in every moment of family life. He adores being around adults, children, and other dogs, soaking up all the love and companionship he can get. Blackberry is food motivated and treat enthusiastic (he loves his Hills Science food, mini milk bone biscuits, cheese, and kongs stuffed with peanut butter), which makes training a joy. He's already shown he's a smart cookie who needs and enjoys mental stimulation like working kongs and treat dispenser puzzle balls. He's making progress on potty training with fewer accidents each day, and while he still has his baby teeth and can get nippy and mouthy as puppies do, he's learning what's appropriate to chew on with proper supervision. His energy comes in delightful bursts throughout the day, followed by content naps on his puppy bed near his people. At night, he loves to sleep with company, settling in peacefully when he's not alone. He enjoys different types of toys, from benebones for chewing to plush toys for playing, and he's curious about the yard, though he's still figuring out this whole leash walking thing and can be a bit scared and confused by it. Here's what Blackberry needs you to know: he really does not like to be alone. He will let you know with whines, howls, and his best protests that he wants to be part of the action. He's even shown his determination by breaking out of his crate because being separated from his family just isn't his style. Blackberry would thrive in a home with someone who works from home or is around during the day, ideally with children and other dogs who can be his constant companions. He needs a family who understands that his clinginess isn't a flaw but simply proof of how much love he has to give. If you're looking for a sweet, silly shadow who will follow you everywhere and fill your home with puppy joy, Blackberry is your boy.
