My name is Chomper and I'm not the kind of dog whose world is just black and white. Where some dogs are brown-eyed or blue-eyed, I'm both. Where some dogs' coat colors are easy to describe, mine is... Blue? Tan? White? Merle? A little of each? It's not just that, though. For some dogs, life is good. People are great. That's all they've ever known and all they ever will know. And for some, people are scary and life is tough. For me... it's a little of both. I love people. I'm cuddly and affectionate and I really WANT to be everyone's friend. But I've learned from experience that dogs have to be careful. Not all people are safe. Sometimes, when they move too fast, I get scared and flinch and back away. I do know that there are a lot of good people in the world. People who won't hurt me, ever, no matter what. And I'm looking for one of those. Someone with a gentle soul. You probably want to know if I get along well with other animals and, like everything else... it's not a simple "yes" or "no." In the home I came from, I lived with another dog, cats, and pre-teen kids. But since coming to the shelter, I haven't wanted to be friends with any of the animals I've met. See what I mean about things not being black and white? What I do know for sure is that I'm a good boy. I'm going to be someone's "heart dog" for sure- the one they'll never forget. My name is Harley and I'm ready to have the BEST. SUMMER. EVER! You might not think I look like a summer girl and... well... yes and no. I mean, obviously, I'm a husky. We're snow dogs. But THIS summer is different. Because this is the summer I'm going to find my FOR.EV.ER HOME! I can't wait to see what kind of adventures I'll have! The holidays I'll celebrate! I'm 8 years old, but I've still got plenty of wonderful things ahead. This pretty girl is Jada.  It has been pointed out by someone who has had Carolina Dogs that Jada is likely one herself.  After reading about the breed the foster mom is sure she is.  She is guessed to be 3 years old and about 60 lbs.  She is smart, affectionate, high energy and vocal.  She would do best with a fenced yard or another play mate.  She loves to run, play and roughhouse with the other young dogs in her foster home.  She can be a bully to older and or very submissive dogs   She is housebroke and goes into her crate easily.  She is very intelligent and learned sit, down and shake paw in a matter of minutes.  She will make a great dog for a family but is probably too high energy for toddlers and younger .   If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Jada’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
