Story
Meet Elsa! Elsa is a smaller female husky looking for a quiet place to call home. She is slow to warm up, but once she does she is all love. She does well on walks, and loves them. She is a talker, and will tell you what’s up! She is potty trained and sleeps all night in an open crate. It is her safe space. She does great with other dogs, unsure of cats. She loves to play with her doggie friends. Elsa will need a special home that has older children. She spooks easily so a noisy household would not be best for her. Once she warms up, she will sit for loving, or jump on the bed to be loved. She will need a home that has a lot of love to give and has patience. She is super sweet, and extremely gentle. She will take a treat from your hand with grace. Requirements for Elsa she needs a fenced in yard and another dog in the home to help with confidence. Please fill out the adoption application on our website! www.4paws4rescue.com May 31, 2023, 11:28 pm

Hello!!! I am Reuben... oops RUBEN, hold the mustard please! I am NOT a sandwich, I am a dog, if you haven't figured that out yet... I am a cool dog, kind of like a the main ingredient in a reuben sandwich, corned beef- I am a twist on the old favorite, Husky! I am a husky hybrid :) I am a husky mix, beefy and solid with beautiful markings and a personality to go with it! I am a young guy too, only 5 yrs old, and have seen a lot in my short life, so now am ready to settle down with the family of my dreams! I have lots of love and energy to spare, and I am so so friendly with everyone I meet. I will make the perfect side dish to the sandwich, so hurry up and order me to GO!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Hi, my name is Odin and I'm looking for my forever best friend! I've had kind of a rough start and it takes me a little bit of time (and hotdogs) before I know you are my people. You see, I used to have a family but they moved away during the hot Texas summer, and left me outside all by myself. All of the neighbors fed me all kinds of yummy things and I even trusted one enough to take the heavy chain off of my neck. (what a relief!) I wasn't sure about the rescue people down the street, and it took me a couple of weeks to let them approach me, but during a heat wave I finally let my foster dad put a leash on me and take me home! Now he's my bestest friend. I was in rough shape with a bum eye that hurt me and heartworms and it took me a couple of weeks before I would let foster mom and dad pet me without grumbling at them(of course, I am a TALKING HUSKY!!). I didn't want them to grab me, push me, put me in a crate, or touch me too much. Now my walls are down and my favorite things to do are snuggle up, get scritches, sit on my foster mom's lap, and just be by my people. I'm very loyal and I'm always lying by their feet no matter where they are. They taught me to go in the crate and in the car by myself because I'm very eager to learn how to do things and please you so that you don't have to force me to do anything! At the vet I wear a muzzle for everybody's safety and I let my foster mom and dad put it right on my head. I have lots of dogs in my foster home and I get along with all of them. I'm still learning that there's enough love and food to go around though, and I sometimes resource guard things like toys, treats, and the dog food bin. I'm fine with most of the dogs, but I watch out for the other big male in my foster house. My foster parents can easily redirect my attention with a verbal reprimand, a spray bottle, or a tap on the rear. I also love to jump up and rough house and might knock little kids over because I want to play with them. My ideal best friend knows a lot about dogs and is patient and has lots of hotdogs. It might take me a couple of weeks, but I promise to be your loyalist bestest friend ever. If you have a dog who is patient and good with other dogs I would love that too and maybe we could also be best friends, I want to play but my foster siblings don't know how. Odin is a wonderful dog who needs a little patience before he lets his true temperament shine. He is extremely loyal but would thrive in a home with experienced dog owners as he doesn't like to be grabbed, lifted, or pushed, and responds best to positive and upbeat energy. He's eager to please and with a little patience has learned to go into the crate (where he does an excellent job being quiet and settling down) and into the car. He does get carsick and throws up on almost every ride. He has a lot of energy and would love an active family to take him hiking, walking, or jogging. Odin is a good weight at 75 pounds, is finishing up hw treatment, and is about 2 years old. If you bring the patience, respect, and hotdogs, Odin will bring the unwavering love and loyalty! Local adoption fee $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)
